School days in the 2014-2015 academic year: 175.

Weekends, holidays and vacation days in the 2014-2015 academic year: 98.

The academic calendar for 2014-2015 was compiled on the basis of the order of the Moscow Department of Education on the recommended vacation dates for the 2014-2015 academic year.

We remind you that there are no uniform legislative norms establishing the terms and dates of holidays in Russia. Each educational institution has the right to independently determine the rest schedule for students. The start dates for the holidays may differ significantly from the recommendations of the Ministry of Science and Education.

By law, Russian schools can set their own vacation times - this is the prerogative of the administration of the educational institution. However, education authorities annually issue Recommended schedule for school holidays – and the vast majority of educational institutions adhere to it.

As a rule, the timing of short autumn and spring school holidays is set so that they begin and end with weekends - in this case, children rest for a whole week, and not for two halves.

In Moscow schools, starting from the 2015-2016 academic year, vacations will take place according to one of two schedules - a classic one, when the school year is divided into four quarters with short autumn and two-week winter holidays (this is how most Russian schools study), or according to a modular scheme, when 5-6 weeks of study alternate with one week of rest. Which of these two schedules the school operates on is determined by the board of the educational institution.

Dates of autumn holidays in 2015

The duration of the autumn holidays will be 9 days, including weekends. By tradition, the holidays coincide in time with the week when National Unity Day is celebrated in Russia.

When are schoolchildren's winter holidays 2015-2016

Schoolchildren will be able to celebrate the New Year holidays for 16 days - this is exactly the duration of their winter holiday.

Winter holidays begin on December 26 () January 10 (Sunday). The end date of school holidays coincides with the end of the All-Russian New Year holidays - January 11 will be the first working day after New Year and Christmas and the first day of the third academic quarter.

Additional holidays for first-graders in 2016

In the middle of the third, longest quarter, first-graders will have an additional short vacation. They will begin February 8 (Monday) and will last exactly a week. Vacation end date – February 14, Sunday.

Spring Break Schedule 2016

Traditional Spring holiday week will begin for schoolchildren on March 19, on Saturday - it will be the first day of March break. Their duration will be the same as that of autumn - 9 days.

In some schools, spring break will take place a week later - from March 26 to April 3 - starting a new quarter in April is more common for many.

Vacation dates with the schedule “5(6)+1”

Schoolchildren, whose school year is structured not in quarters, but according to the “5(6)+1” modular system, will have rest according to a special schedule: the school period, which includes five or six weeks, will alternate with week-long holidays. There will be five such short holidays throughout the school year.

Vacation schedule according to the modular schedule in 2015-2016:

  • October 5-11

  • November 16-22

  • December 30 - January 5

  • February 15-21

  • April 4–10.

  • School holiday schedule for the 2015-2016 school year

At the moment, the Ministry of Education has not yet approved the school holiday schedule for the next school year. But, if it is important for us now to understand when schoolchildren will have a rest, we can try to draw up a schedule by looking at the schedule of previous years.

When will schoolchildren have a rest in the 2017-2018 school year? Let's try to answer this question. In the article we will look at the “classic” school schedule: four quarters, holidays between them, and additional holidays for those who are studying at school for the first year.

The first day of school in the 2017–2018 academic year is September 1. In 2017, this day falls on Friday.

Autumn holidays usually occur at the end of October and beginning of November. In 2017, autumn holidays are expected to begin on Saturday, October 28th. The last day of autumn holidays is Monday, November 6th. This is due to the fact that the holiday (non-working) day of November 4 falls on Saturday and is moved to November 6 (Monday).

Winter holidays for schoolchildren will begin on December 25, and will last until January 9, 2018, and a week of additional rest for first-graders may fall on the week that begins on February 19.

Summer holidays, as in other school years, will begin on June 1, and for students in grades 1-4 - on May 25, and for students in grades nine and 11, the school year will end according to the final certification schedule.

Finally, we note that all deadlines determined by the Ministry are in the nature of recommendations. The school decides for itself whether to follow them, and, if necessary, can move the holidays in one direction or another.

On Sunday September 8, 2019 In the final of the US Open, which is one of the four Grand Slam tournaments, Russian Daniil Medvedev will face Spain's Rafael Nadal, ranked second in the world of men's singles tennis.

Final Medvedev - Nadal is a landmark event for Russian tennis, since Daniil Medvedev is the first Russian male tennis player to reach the Grand Slam final since 2005 (Marat Safin reached the final in 2005).

The Medvedev-Nadal match will begin at 23:00 Moscow time .

Where to watch the live broadcast of the Medvedev vs Nadal final:

The US Open final will be shown live First channel. The broadcast starts at 23:05 Moscow time.

And a day later, on Monday September 9, 2019, Channel One is scheduled to broadcast a live football match between Russia and Kazakhstan as part of the qualification for EURO 2020.

Forecast for the match Medvedev - Nadal 09/08/2019:

Favorite in the upcoming fight is undoubtedly Rafael Nadal.

It is unlikely that an experienced tennis player would allow himself to be broken by a young Russian, so Nadal's advantage will gradually only grow. However, Medvedev has a small chance to force a fight and drag out the fight with the Spaniard, which we really count on.

The new school year has just begun, but schoolchildren are probably already tired of a series of lessons and homework. Fortunately, the opportunity to take a break from everyday school life will present itself very soon - the autumn holidays are just around the corner. In different regions, their dates may differ slightly, but one way or another, the holidays partially coincide with the long weekend on the occasion of the celebration of National Unity Day. Read on to learn how to have fun and usefully relax with the whole family, and where to go with your children on vacation.

When do the 2014 autumn holidays in schools begin and end?

A month and a half of study flew by unnoticed. Very soon, schoolchildren will go on autumn holidays. They will not last long - only 8 days. Most students will have a holiday from October 27 to November 5, 2014. However, the dates may differ in different schools, since the issue of the timing of the holidays is decided by the administration of each educational institution individually in accordance with the recommendations of the regional education committee. In some cities, for example, in St. Petersburg, schoolchildren will have a vacation from November 3 to 9.

School holiday dates for the 2014–2015 school year

Knowing the school holiday schedule is useful not only for schoolchildren, but also for their parents. After all, many people plan trips and trips in advance, buying or booking tickets in advance. As already mentioned, there are no uniform vacation dates in Russia; each school determines them independently. However, there are some traditions and recommendations from regional ministries and departments of education. So the Moscow Department of Education proposed the following vacation schedule for the 2014/2015 school year:

  • Autumn holidays – from October 27 to November 5 (8 days);
  • Winter holidays - from December 29 to January 12 (14 days);
  • Spring holidays – from March 23, 2015 to April 1, 2015 (9 days);
  • Summer holidays start on June 1st.

However, soon the capital’s schoolchildren will have their holidays according to a single schedule. In October-November 2014, Muscovites will vote on the duration of the school holidays. There will be 3 options to choose from: traditional rest 4 times a year, trimesters with two long holidays, or a modular mode, when a five-week study period is followed by a week of rest. You can vote for any of them from October 27 to November 30 on the Active Citizen portal.

Where to go during the autumn holidays - holidays with children in Moscow

Traditionally, during the autumn holidays, a number of large events are held that are already loved by children and their parents. Among the recreation options you can find entertainment for every taste - from cartoon festivals to sports competitions. From November 1 to November 9, the Week of Games and Toys will be held at the Palace of Pioneers on Vorobyovy Gory. Children and adults will find fun activities and attractions, entertaining scientific and educational programs, experiments, exciting master classes and, of course, a toy fair. The main theme of the event is “Gaming Gems of Russia”. Guests of the festival will be able to learn a lot of interesting things about the history of board games and toys of different peoples of Russia and plunge into the world of childhood.

Movie lovers will also have something to do during the holidays. From October 30 to November 10, the Big Cartoon Festival will be held in Moscow. Screenings of the best author's works from around the world will be held in the Cosmos, Rolan, Pioneer cinemas, the Assembly Hall Cultural Center, the Documentary Film Center and other venues. During the event, the ZIL Cultural Center will host a “Cartoon Factory”. By visiting it, children will be able to see with their own eyes how their favorite cartoons are created and even take part in the process of their creation.

On the holiday weekend of November 1, 2, 8 and 9, the exciting cultural journey “The Whole Family to the Museum” will continue. This year, 24 museums are waiting for children and their parents, each of which has developed a game guide for one of four age-related thematic routes: “This, that, all sorts ...” for children 5 - 7 years old, “Who to be?” and “Life at Home” for children 8 - 11 years old and “Time is yours!” for teenagers 12 - 14 years old.

Show “UFO. Circus from another planet"

And, of course, the holidays are unlikely to be complete without a trip to the circus. At the beginning of November, viewers can expect both premiere and time-tested programs. The Great Moscow State Circus on Vernadsky Avenue offers a choice of 2 productions at once: a unique space performance “UFO. Circus from Another Planet" and the premiere of this season - the oriental fairy tale "Zach-Lee-Natel". At the Moscow Nikulin Circus on Tsvetnoy Boulevard you can see the anniversary program “What a Circus!”
