Children's music school number 8. Basic information

Arkady Ostrovsky Children's Music School No. 8, the oldest school in the Southwestern Administrative District, is being evicted. She started her work 77 years ago. Nine years ago, the music institution moved to the building of a comprehensive school on Garibaldi Street, now it is at number 117. The music school occupied the first floor, where more than 400 children study. The parents raised the alarm.

Olga Mezhueva mother of one of the students of the music school:

“The Department of Education simply did not extend the lease for the next academic year to our music school. But here you need to understand that a music school is not just packed a suitcase and left, it's at least 20 instruments, of which at least five are pianos, there is no elevator in the building, and just like that, let's quickly drag it all to another place and start teaching further children. This is impossible, because when we moved into this building, the renovation took almost a year to make these premises suitable for a music school. How long will this move take? In September, children, of course, will not be able to study. Plus, if the Department of Education doesn't renew that lease next year, will we be moving again? There are now about 430 children studying there. We have 8-12 people per place every year upon admission.”

Over the past three years, the leadership of the music school has received verbal notifications from the administration of the general education school that from the next academic year their stay in this building is highly undesirable.

Dmitry German director of the music school named after Arkady Ostrovsky:

“Since we receive these notifications in the future, the next contract is extended for a year, we receive, tolerate and hold a reception, and live on. This year, in addition to verbal warnings, we were also asked to consider the building of another comprehensive school in order to move there for the next academic year. This room suits us in a small part, we can conduct individual lessons there. We need classes for group lessons and solfeggio, musical literature, for choir and orchestra classes. In order to rebuild such premises, you need permission from the owner of the building - the Department of Education - and you need money. Neither permission nor money will be given to us, as we were told. For all 77 years, the school has not had its own premises. In a 2009 Moscow government decree, the construction of a building for our school was planned. The resolution is valid, but it has not been implemented. The building has not been built. Until the time when the own premises of the music school are built, it cannot be removed from the existing premises if this transfer causes a deterioration in the conditions of educational activities. We already have several people enrolled in pre-school training groups for next year. Today I saw the order that was sent to us that we will have a new location. Until that time, we had no reason not to receive admission to this room, since, apart from verbal warnings, I did not have any papers in my hands.

The leadership of a comprehensive school has its own truth.

Irina Baburina director of school No. 117:

“We are not renewing the lease due to the fact that the school is growing. If we used to open the first nine classes, then this year there are 14 of them. Not only that, we also have about 80 people on the waiting list who want to get into our school. Of course, under these conditions - the absence of a whole floor, a passageway, an entire staircase, and so on, there is a catastrophic lack of space for the building where the elementary school is located. We already talked about this and warned the head of the music school two years ago. And they offered to solve their own problems. At one time, various options were offered, I don’t know why the leadership of the music school did not take advantage of this. Last year, about the same situation arose, but then our situation was somewhat better, so we decided to extend it for another year, but we already warned that the situation would worsen, and we would raise the issue of terminating the lease next year . And the issue of extending the lease or terminating the lease is not decided by the principal of the school, this issue is decided by a special commission. The balance sheet of the school is the Department of Education. We don’t have the opportunity, we have seven preschools and four school buildings, which are all overcrowded.”

The department of culture of the Moscow government, to which the music school is subordinate, was asked to write a request. But so far, city officials have not responded to Business FM.

This is in continuation of the post about children being encouraged to play football and stadiums being demolished. Simultaneously they do it if they don't know. Stadiums interfere with the predatory building of Moscow, get in the way and get in the way. Musicians also interfere. The building should not be three meters high - pianos, music library, everything. And why a school building, if you can build a shopping and office center there with thirty floors? In short, no football and music, they made bike paths for you, so ride.

about at the same time - absolutely exactly - (for grandmas, of course).

The school started its work October 2, 1940. Over the decades of its existence, Children's Music School No. 8 moved from region to region, changed its name several times: "Leninsky District", "Kirovsky District", "Oktyabrsky District" ...

But one short name remained unchanged for her: "School of Leviticus."
He created the fundamental formula for the successful work of any music school. Here she is:
"The profession of a music school teacher combined two completely different professions. The essence of one of them is self-reproduction, the education of one's own kind - the future professional musician. And the trouble is when leaders of all ranks, followed by teachers, try to measure one profession by the standards of another."
Both he and the brilliant team of teachers who worked with him all together created a school of kindness and respect for each other, restlessness and constant search.
Such the Eighth Musical was all 30 years, while Yuri Efimovich Levit was its director.
This is what she tries to be today - already without him.
Sharikova Maria Alexandrovna
Piano teacher, head of the piano department of Children's Music School No. 8 from 1951 to 1978.
Maybe this photo will be able to convey to you at least a little that charm, that amazing light, a combination of wisdom and lightness, simplicity and aristocracy that emanated from this woman.
A brilliantly educated, erudite person, Maria Alexandrovna was, first of all, a teacher and musician. By the grace of God, she felt every child amazingly accurately.
"There is no single methodology," she argued, "with each new student, a new methodology comes to the class."
Studying in the class of Maria Alexandrovna was very easy and very difficult. It's easy - because it's interesting. And it is difficult - because it was a shame in her presence to whine, to dissolve, to try to deceive.
For more than 20 years, Maria Alexandrovna headed the piano department of the Music School No. 8. For several decades, both she and the excellent team of pianist teachers at Children's Music School No. 8 formed those high requirements for culture, honesty and decency in music, which distinguished the Eighth Musical in the past, and which we try to follow today.
Hundreds of musical teachers in Moscow and Russia, who were in love with Maria Alexandrovna, considered the teachers of Children's Music School No. 8 to be lucky. After all, everyday communication with her at tests, exams, concerts gave a truly higher pedagogical education.

The deceased already, dear Petya Merkuriev, writes about another teacher:
About Lyudmila Nikolaevna, we can safely say that her fate took place.
In 1944, she came to work at the Moscow Music School No. 8 and worked there all her life, despite repeated invitations to the "Merzlyakov" school (Academic Music School at the Moscow Conservatory).
Lukovnikova graduated from the Moscow Conservatory after the war, studied with V.V. Sofronitsky.
With her husband Andrei Efimovich Lukovnikov, who was director of the All-Union House of Composers for over 25 years, she lived for more than half a century, raised a wonderful son, was a soulmate with her daughter-in-law, the adored grandmother of two grandchildren.
The Lukovnikovs' house was always open to everyone, their small apartment in Polyanka seemed to accommodate the population of an entire country. Only scoundrels and dullness did not go there: they were afraid of Lyudmila Nikolaevna.
In her judgments, she was sometimes merciless, but no one was offended by her, because they knew: the statements came from the heart, and her impeccable musical taste, the highest professionalism, and the life position of a caring person allowed her to be uncompromising.
The students adored her. In her native Children's Music School No. 8, she was an absolute authority. In recent years, when Lyudmila Nikolaevna could no longer walk, special conditions were created for her: the students went to her home. Classes were held between injections, droppers, massages, but this did not affect the quality of the lessons. As a methodologist, L. Lukovnikova knew no equal, her developments have been used in Russian music schools for many years. At the school at the conservatory she conducted pedagogical practice.
Lukovnikova has been awarded many titles and awards, she is one of the few primary level teachers who has been awarded the Order of the Red Banner of Labor.
L. Lukovnikova was buried at the Vvedensky cemetery, not far from the graves of the great artists A. Tarasova, M. Reizen, M. Maksakova.
