Natalya Bardo interview. Natalya Bardo: “I’d rather buy a new book than shoes

Film and television actress Natalya Bardo, who is now happily expecting a child - from her chosen one, director Marius Weisberg, told HELLO! about the components of your style. There is no doubt that her style is special. The surname is like that of the famous Brigitte - and her ambitions are no less than those of her French colleague. Natalya does not recognize halftones and always “goes by principle” - both in work and in her personal life.

Everything in this life should happen gradually so that you have time to feel the changes. And if success and fame immediately overtake you, it can simply crush you,” says Natalya Bardo.

She, who has gradually passed all the “exams” on the way to a big movie, knows what she’s talking about. Filming in the series "Golden. Barvikha 2" and "Veronica. Lost Happiness" - the latter is still successfully repeated on TV. Finally, roles in full film - from the ephemeral Fairy from the recent comedy with Danila Kozlovsky "Friday" to the brave nurse from the military drama "The Last Frontier". Natalya considers this role a great success:

The film is not easy - three hours of makeup every day, a heavy overcoat, cold that cuts through to the bones. But such an important and sensitive topic! I've been waiting for this role for a very long time. I tried to play as sincerely as possible, and I hope I succeeded. After the premiere of the film in America, people suddenly even started coming up to me on the streets and giving me compliments. Natalya moved to America at the beginning of the year: the father of her unborn child, director Marius Weisberg, lives here. Natasha has not yet spoken about her next responsible role - as a mother. But she is happy to talk about the setting of our interview - Los Angeles, which always reminds her of her first acquaintance with the world of cinema.

Los Angeles is a city where films are being made at every turn, somewhat similar to a scene from my childhood. Then, at the age of 14, thanks to my mother’s friend, I first came to film set- A movie was filmed in Gorky Park. This special world I was immediately fascinated by the running lighting crews, the cameramen, the important director in the chair. And I decided that I would break through there no matter what. But mother said: “What is this business - to entertain someone?” She considered the acting profession frivolous, and a future related to economics seemed to her much more promising. And, on my mother’s advice, I still enrolled in economics.

But then you transferred to the theater?

One day I was walking along Arbat and went down one of the alleys near the Shchukin School. The students were rehearsing something and seemed so happy and free that I immediately transferred to the correspondence department and began preparing for admission. And I entered "Pike" the first time. And I never regretted my choice.

And there were no moments when you wanted to give up everything: unsuccessful castings, closed doors?

The acting profession is a continuous series of worries. If you take on the role - happiness. They won’t take it - it’s as if the world has collapsed. And sometimes your dream role appears and you are surprised: the auditions were so bad, but they took you. (Laughs.) But I like it even more: it allows you to see perspectives and stay on your toes.

The publicity of the profession probably also keeps you in good shape: after all, you are constantly in sight - at premieres and red carpets...

I have several trusted stylists with whom I am on the same wavelength. They know that in an outfit I should not only look, but also feel like a queen - that’s when everyone will notice it. Therefore, I will never wear a super nice thing if I feel that it doesn’t quite suit me. And from childhood, my parents instilled in me that looking like everyone else is a sign of bad taste. You need to find something special and mix any branded dress with original details. In this regard, domestic designers are very helpful - Rasario, Alexander Terekhov, A LA RUSSE Anastasia Romantsova: they will always warn who has recently worn a similar outfit, and will make sure that everything is exclusive.

Does America have a similar approach to going out?

It’s more difficult here: black tie is strictly observed here, even at the Oscars everyone comes in seasoned suits. In Russia, there are more opportunities to show your individuality on the red carpet. For example, I am very glad that in Sochi, at the opening of last year’s Kinotavr, stylist Alesya Matyashchuk and I sculpted the dress of our dreams together. According to her sketches, one of the fashion studios sewed a wonderful flowing dress, lush, with a wasp waist. True, no matter how much I love the gloss of evening dresses and social events, after the ball, like Cinderella, I prefer to dress in more comfortable things. But then I still start to miss red carpets. (Laughs.)

With such love for your profession, is it probably not easy for you to build relationships with loved ones?

Therefore, I preferred the option of my loved ones who also love movies. (Laughs.) After all, an ordinary man will not understand all the intricacies of my work: that there are overtime and night shifts, that I can leave at one in the morning and return only during the day. And at the same time I will look absolutely satisfied - because I like what I do. What kind of man would want such a life? Only the one who is himself connected with art.

You are a sought-after actress, your companion is a director. Is it easy for two creative people to get along?

When we first met, Marius offered me a role in the film "Eight best dates", but I immediately answered no. I was then starring in three films, a small role was of no use. But in response to the refusal, he offered to develop my character. This only strengthened my decision to refuse: I suspected that he was experiencing sympathy for me, and decided not to aggravate it, because I am against office romances, they only interfere with work. And then he simply invited me to a cafe. We talked for six hours straight, and we had similar views on many things. For example, that work should remain work, and personal life should exist separately. And that’s how we’ve been prioritizing since then.

Has pregnancy affected your priorities?

To be honest, I haven’t fully realized that I will soon become a mother, so I think about work a lot and often! The release of two of my films is planned for 2016 - “Lost” and “Love with Limits”. There are several projects in development, so I'm not slowing down - I'm still on my toes. (Smiles.)

On the eve of Victory Day, the Russia 1 TV channel will premiere the military drama “The Last Frontier,” in which the fragile-looking 28-year-old Natalya Bardo played the brave nurse Katya. In life, the actress exudes sophistication, grace and style, which she demonstrates at social events. IN exclusive interview the site found out what sacrifices Natalya is not ready to make for the sake of her career, why she refuses sex scenes and what boundaries she wants to erase.

28-year-old actress Natalia Bardo has played a lot interesting roles, But last job especially proud. In the new series “The Last Frontier,” which will premiere on May 8 on the Russia 1 channel, the actress became a military nurse Katya.

The drama tells the story of a company of recruits whose commander was given the task of stopping the Germans at any cost. The action takes place in a difficult time - the winter of 1941. Natalya's heroine comes face to face with all the hardships of wartime. We started our conversation with a question about the painting.

website: Natalya, you starred in the series “The Last Frontier”, the heroes of which have a strong spirit and the will to win. Do you have these qualities?

Without false modesty, I can say that there is. If I didn’t have these qualities, I wouldn’t have what I have in my life now. I think, strong spirit given to us in order to achieve our goals without compromising our principles. I don’t like to make sacrifices, but for the sake of loved ones I’m ready to do a lot.

“By my zodiac sign I am Aries, and much of what is written in horoscopes is about me. I am purposeful, I don’t like losing at all, and if this happens, I tell myself: “Everything is for the better.”

I am sure that if you prevailed or were lucky in some way, it means you deserved it, did something good in the past. I am grateful to my parents for their upbringing, they passed on to me best qualities. It’s difficult to be alone in this life, and it’s good when there are people nearby who wish us well.

N.B.: Now success for me is a picture that will be recognized by viewers and critics. If I star in a film, it is important for me that it be appreciated. This is why I overcome own fears. I had to jump from enormous heights, film with poisonous cobras, spend ten hours in ice water... At the same time, I really love action scenes and often perform stunts myself.

The sacrifices must be justified, so I will never betray myself. If my inner voice is against something, I will listen to it. So, once I had to abandon a project with blatant sex scenes, and now I’m glad about it. I know for sure that I would be ashamed now. Perhaps, because of such a mistake, I would not have been able to fulfill my dream of acting in a war film. “The Last Frontier” for me is one of the most reverent and significant works.

“In our profession, excessive media exposure does not always play into our hands. “Special” popularity can be harmful. Therefore, in such matters, I rely on the opinion of professionals - recognized directors, actors, and I prefer to refuse filming for men's magazines. Everything has its time".

website: Can you call yourself a brave person?

N.B.: I'm more of a brave adventurer (laughs). It seems to me that this happens because I am afraid of boredom and... laziness! I am closer to unpredictability, risk, and this is also inherent in courage. I also have other weapons, but I’ll tell you about that another time. (smiles).

website: What do you think a modern woman should be like?

N.B.: In my opinion, she should be wise. With this quality, a woman can achieve anything, and any man will want to protect her. You don't have to be a fighter if you have a loved one nearby. When girls say that they can cope without the help of men, they turn into unhappy and lonely. And I only call for wisdom. Wait, let your loved one express himself and his capabilities, because this is a small contribution to your happy future.

N.B.: You need to put happiness as a priority, and for me this means both the opportunity to act in films and the desire to start a family. There must be balance in everything.

“I can’t choose just one thing, so I’m ready to explain to a man as much as I want how important work is to me. I am for a harmonious existence and I am sure that it is possible to build at the same time successful career and spend time with family and friends.”

website: Which heroine would you like to transform into?

N.B.: There is no specific image. I played both positive heroines and girls with difficult fate, and bitches, and even princesses. Now I want something spicy, negative. I think such a role is not far off.

I'm happy with how mine is developing now actor career, and I’m glad that I have the opportunity to do what I love. Every day I study and work on myself. I’m just at the beginning of my journey, many accomplishments await me ahead, and this only fuels my interest and inspires me.

website: Do you make plans or prefer the natural course of events?

N.B.: Oh... I just belong to that category of people who make long-term plans. I like to control everything even in cases when I have no control over the situation (laughs). But I notice positive changes - over the years I become more trusting. And I’m even starting to get a taste for it and enjoy it. And when I notice that the result exceeds all my expectations, I rejoice in euphoria. Moments like these bring joy when you realize that you have someone to rely on.

N.B.:"Yes I can. There is only one goal - not to destroy what has been built. I treat what I have as my empire: I am the queen of my domain, I have a king, and everything is subject to a clearly structured system. This world of mine was built long and hard.”

My family gives me the strength to move on; I try to protect myself from ill-wishers and gossip. Today my house is in order, which allows me to freely think about the future, search, develop, love. Everything in life should be like in a tidy closet - in its place.

website: It seems to us that one of yours strengths- the ability to look great at social events. Do you turn to professionals for help or come up with images yourself?

N.B.: Thank you for the compliment. A woman should be able to present herself. Of course, I turn to stylists because, in my opinion, public people should pay special attention to their appearance.

“A properly chosen image is big job, art. Therefore, I prefer to do my own thing - acting, and trust the rest to professionals.”

website: Do you prioritize comfort or beauty?

N.B.: Above all for me is beauty, especially if we're talking about O social event, red carpet or filming process.

IN Everyday life I allow myself to relax and choose comfort. If I'm uncomfortable in something, I won't wear it, and this thing just hangs on the hanger or, in best case scenario, will be given as a gift to someone.

Charming Natalia Bardo familiar to viewers from the TV series “Veronica. Lost Happiness", "Immersion", "Second Chance" and "Angelique". About how she, the daughter of the European champion athletics, became an actress, not an athlete, Natalia said in an interview with OK!

Photo: Press service of Natalia Bardo

We have long wanted to do an interview with the young actress Natalia Bardo, and finally a wonderful opportunity presented itself: Natasha and her loved one were vacationing on the island of Bali and shared her photographs with us. The actress fell in love with the city of Ubud, located in the center of the island, and explored its busy streets far and wide. “Of course, it’s not always possible to just pick up and leave for a month,” says Natalya. - Mostly this can be done either on holidays or in between projects. This time we were able to take a break from work whole month. The modern rhythm of life forces us to work hard, and in the end this affects both our health and our personal lives, but I am still a woman. At some point, I realized that I can’t spend my time only on work. Yes, this is what allows me to realize myself, become full-fledged, self-sufficient, but still I need to think about my personal life.”

Does your loved one also like to travel?

Yes, that’s why everything works out absolutely harmoniously with him. Even the places we want to visit are the same. Before the New Year there was a lot of things to do, work, and bustle. On December 29, we suddenly realized that we urgently needed to decide where to go, otherwise we would have to meet New Year and subsequent holidays in Moscow. And I really wanted adventure! ( Smiling.) At first the choice fell on Thailand, but we had already been there, but not in Bali. In addition, it seemed to us that Indonesia is a great place to relax and get pleasant emotions. Although, to be honest, I imagined this country completely differently. Now she is on my list of favorites. True, I discovered my Bali: for me it is not a favorite place for surfers and not a paradise for fans beach holiday. Oddly enough, my attention was drawn to the center of the island - the city of Ubud. It is lively and noisy there: mopeds, taxis, stalls with food and souvenirs. If you walk along the main street for a long time, you can simply go crazy! ( Smiling.) But this is where there is some special energy.

Have you tried riding a moped yourself?

We had the idea of renting a moped, but as we drove from Jimbaran Bay to Ubud, it became clear that with such dangerous traffic on the roads, it would be better to do without a moped. And although I am by nature a big extreme person, this time I decided not to take risks. ( Laughs.) By the way, Ubud very much reminded me of Sri Lanka, where Veronica was filmed. Around there too wild nature with the jungle and a lot of living creatures. And such a reserved world is incredibly close to me. These places bring back special memories, because it was at the project that I met my great love. And it was then that our passion for travel arose.

I can imagine what a pleasure it is to film in the jungle!

Yes. ( Smiles.) We lived there for three whole months! It wasn’t even a hotel, but some kind of low building among strange plants, in which rats were running, spiders were crawling, and geckos were falling from the ceiling. One day, while filming, I was bitten by some unknown insect. It was very hot in the jungle, we spent fifteen hours a day on the set in tight saris, and as a result the bite became inflamed. I endured it for two days, and then we went to filming in a Sri Lankan prison - according to the plot, they had to push me and beat me with sticks. Someone from the crowd touched my back. I immediately felt bad, and right from the set I was taken to the hospital, straight to operating table. But the next day, with the help of painkillers, I went to work. ( Smiling.) What happened during the filming: I dived into lakes with scuba gear, and ran through forests, and rolled in the mud, and climbed mountains in the cold in just tights... In this sense, the series “Angelika” on STS, where we We parade in high heels in beautiful scenery, rather an exception to the rule in my filmography. Just like the negative character Ulyana, whom I play in this series.

I think you are desperate!

Yes, I love such experiments and extreme sports. And even while shooting in Ubud, the photographer told me: “Please, just don’t go near the cliff.” But I definitely need to break the ban, go to the very edge! These are the “notes” I live on.

Would you call the role in “Veronica” your first truly serious work?

My first leading role took place in the TV series “Golden. Barvikha 2". I had just entered the Shchukin Theater School, and my acting work at that time left much to be desired. This was my first experience, and I was not ready for it. I won’t lie, now I’m even ashamed of some scenes. “Veronica” is another matter.

Were you ready for this role yet?

Of course, at that time I had just finished my second year. theater institute. I was already firmly on my feet and my wonderful teachers inspired me with their example and somehow in a special way instilled confidence. And the fact that filming took place in Krakow, and in Israel, and in Thailand, and in Sri Lanka was endlessly pleasing.

Natasha, no one in your family has anything to do with the acting profession. Why did you decide to become an actress?

At the age of fourteen I went on the set for the first time. By a lucky coincidence, my mother’s friend was working as an acting assistant at the time and took me with her to the shooting. I spent the whole day there and simply fell in love with this profession. I couldn’t take my eyes off what was happening around me, everything seemed like magic. I even liked the way the film staff moved the pieces of equipment, carried the cameras, changed lenses... Overnight, my mother’s friend grew to the skies in my eyes. I thought she had the coolest job in the world. ( Laughs.) I was sure that people associated with cinema - not only actors, but also directors, cameramen, lighting designers - were special. Naturally, I asked to go to the set again and again. Then she showed me to director Natalya Bondarchuk, who was then filming “Pushkin. The Last Duel", and asked to sit me somewhere in the crowd. They not only put me in the frame, but also gave me a line. How happy I was! Naturally, after that I couldn’t think about anything other than theater.

Why did you initially go to study as an economist?

When I told my mother that I wanted to go to theater school, she opposed it. We had no money, we lived quite modestly at that time, so my mother wanted a better future for me. I had to agree and go to study at Moscow banking institute, so my first education is economics. The only thing I asked my mother was to allow me to go to castings and film on weekends. Mom said: “In your free time from studying, you can do whatever you want!” True, I appeared at lectures very rarely.

And how long did you last in economics?

With grief in half - almost three years. Then I transferred to correspondence courses and stopped really studying at all, but somehow I still graduated from the institute.

Was your mother not against this attitude to the matter?

She was just tired of fighting me, fighting my dream. ( Smiling.) My horoscope is Aries and I always get my way. And by that time I had already started studying in Shchuk, went there as a free student, and studied with teachers. She was very well prepared, and it is not surprising that she entered the theater school the first time.

It’s a pity that with your persistence you didn’t end up in sports, because your dad, Sergei Krivozub, is a European champion in athletics.

That's what dad says. ( Laughs.) Even when I was little, my dad always said that I had all the makings to become a good athlete. I played basketball, went to gymnastics and ballet. I remember how it hurt me while stretching, I cried, and now I love ballet madly - I have a barre at home, and several times a week I study with a choreographer.

You once said that you would love to try yourself in the theater, but you don’t have enough time. Nothing changed?

I still want to go to the theater, but I still don’t quite understand in what way and under what conditions. I read a lot, I love it classical productions, and I would like the performance with my participation to attract spectators not only funny story, but also the meaning and deep characters of the characters. I dream of getting into Sovremennik - I really love Galina Volchek for her charisma, extraordinary gift and ability to find actors with special energy, for the fact that she gives everyone a chance. I don’t know, maybe someday my dream will come true, at least until all my plans come true.

Natalya Bardo, who played the main role in the series “Flying Crew” on the STS channel, came to the editorial office of the site. The actress spoke about how the piquant scenes were filmed, what TV series are worth watching and why we don’t live up to American sitcoms.

PHOTO ALEXANDER SHIRKOV

- You shared yours creative activity into two surnames: the first, which no one remembers, and the second, Bardo, - these are two different periods life, what are they?

— The main story that divided my life into before and after was my admission to the Shchukin School. It was hard, for a year and a half I prepared for admission to Vladimir Poglazov, a teacher who, unfortunately, has already died, but gave us that very Stanislavsky school and helped me understand what it means to play and truly live. Nowadays, many people are afraid to be themselves, real, sincere. When we entered college, many guys and girls were already in the role of “I’ll be an actress.” Everyone fantasizes for himself and imagines how he will exist in the profession. Walk on the red carpet, wear beautiful dresses, to please everyone, to be loved by everyone. We were told: this is not the main thing, be alive, be real. Many people imposed different images on me and what I should be. They said: you need to be popular, but let’s sing?

— There was a time when you sang on stage. Is this a story about “shouldn’t I try?”, or did you want to seriously develop in this direction?

— I’m not a singer, I’ve never done it professionally, although I really love singing. I can even go on stage, perform a song in karaoke, or perform at an event, but all this looks like a skit and creative amateur performance. I always wanted to act in films. Since childhood, I dreamed of playing in the theater, and so my life turned out that I was taken into the series. During my first marriage, my husband didn't want me to spend much time filming. It seemed to him that if I sang, we could go on tour together. We shoot a movie for 15 hours, but a concert is only an hour. I tried it in the name of my family. But I realized in time that living my husband’s life was wrong. I wanted to go my own way.

— After you realized that a singer’s career is not what you want, did you work out with cinema, but what about theater?

— I really wanted to play in the theater. Moreover, my master at the Shchukin School - Malinovsky Mikhail Georgievich, unfortunately, he is no longer there, the greatest teacher, gave me the main role in his play. But I couldn’t play her, I was taken to the shooting of the series “Veronica”. I filmed in Poland, Thailand, Sri Lanka. We traveled all over the world, and rehearsals had to be postponed and, accordingly, we had to give up the main role.

— Experience in a television project was more important at that time theatrical work?

— It was very important for me to try myself in the theater, I knew which troupe I wanted to join. But I couldn’t ask a team of 50 people to wait for me while I was filming. Everything started spinning and spinning, and, unfortunately, I was left without a theater.

- Which one is the best? large sum Did you have a fee and what did you spend it on?

“It’s so hard for actresses to calculate this: one fee is delayed, another is calculated. Everything is complicated for us. People look and say: “Oh, these millionaires, walking along these carpet paths.” In fact, this is a very complex process; the actor receives a bet. We get paid for our shooting day. Specifically for the hours we worked. The fees were large; from one long project I could buy myself a one-room apartment in a five-story building on the ground floor.

— With the experience that you have, including your husband-director, what goals do you set for yourself? Perhaps filming in America?

“I don’t have and never have had any goals of filming in America, despite the fact that I gave birth to a child there and lived there for a whole year. I looked at how well everything was arranged, what kind of directors they were. But, frankly speaking, I am a patriot, I was born in Moscow. And I know everyone here, this is my home.

— If you take Zvyagintsev or Bykov, this is a serious movie, are you interested in this format?

— I really love Zvyagintsev’s films, his truth, how he touches you with his work. I respect auteur cinema and watch festival films. After watching Andrei Zvyagintsev, the movie lives with you for a very long time. You walk down the street and see all these pictures in life. The director does not wear them, he tries to remove all the masks. It may look sad, but it's true. And for this I respect him very much. In order to make such a movie, you need to be a brave person.

— Based on the fact that we live in Russia, what kind of cinema should prevail here, serious or funny?

“It would be great if we had both in equal proportions.” We have films that would not even be worth spending time on, and there are those that are a must-see, but for some reason they are not on the screen. People live in different social strata and moods. Everyone can be sad or happy. Cinema should be different.

— Do you agree that there should be less commercial and entertaining cinema on the screen than real deep films? There are frankly very few quality films shown! Why?

“I know the answer to this question, I understand that in our country they are fighting this and trying to make sure that there is more good cinema. Unfortunately, there is a certain system that is very difficult to configure. I'm an actress and I can't talk about this professionally.

- Name your favorite director, we won’t take your husband, because he is beyond competition!

— I already said about Zvyagintsev. I like Anna Melikyan, who makes entertaining films, but with her own style, ideas, artists with whom she is friends, and you can feel it. Marius also often photographs artists with whom he is friends, knows, and loves. He understands how to work with them, sees the strengths and weak sides. This is also very evident in Anya. I like Rezo and his film “Hostages”, it’s a glossy movie, but at the same time there is life there - I think this is such a cry from the heart.

- Are you in this moment developing in the serial genre, which three series, in your opinion, are worth watching?

— I really love the series “The Crown”, “True Detective”, “Stranger Things” - especially the first season, the second was less interesting, they were too sophisticated with mysticism and magic.

— Do you watch American TV series professionally? You and your husband are also filming a rom-com, are you borrowing something for yourself?

“We were supposed to have a sitcom, but we went into a rom-com, and I think the viewer is happy about it.” Of course, I follow, and I got into the series “Flying Crew” a long time ago. Marius was not there yet, there were other authors and artists. I got my hands on the script, and the first thing I see is a story about planes, pilots, and flight attendants. What I do: I turn on the TV series “Pan American”, I watched it, and it worked out a certain picture. I see Margot Robbie as she gets on the plane, and I think: wow, we will also be doing such a project now. I was infected by this whole story and really wanted to get to the audition.

— How did you like the candid scenes with your partner in the series “Flying Crew” Alexei Chadov? Did your husband film all the scenes?

— My husband didn’t come to these shifts! This is true! Fun fact, he skipped most of the scenes with Anton and Lesha, saying: “Today you are filming these scenes before lunch, I’ll sleep for now.” The main kiss after the wedding with Chadov, it was filmed at the end of our shift. Marius was filming all day, was on set and said: “Okay, I’ll be filming this, let’s just quickly.” We did it in two takes.

- If they offer you a large meter, but there will be frank bed scenes, will your husband be against it?

“I don’t think this question will arise, it just happened that way, he couldn’t come out, and we filmed these scenes without him. If a serious job appears, where there will be a love line, Marius, of course, will treat this professionally, and he will not say: “No, I don’t want you to play, because there you have to kiss someone.” He understands that this is not true, all kisses are work! He is also a director who works with beautiful actresses and looks at them in different scenes, and then who already studied what!

— How much did you receive for your work in the TV series “Flight Crew”?

— I cannot answer this question because I have not yet received these fees; we are not allowed to disclose such data under the contract. Are there people who answer such questions?

— Of course, there are, perhaps these are old works where such a clause or approximate cost is not specified in the contract.

- If I say now that I received one ruble, then on the next project they will tell me: we won’t give you three, you’re filming for one.

- Fine. How do you spend your fee? Are you investing in yourself, going on vacation, giving a gift to your husband?

- Enough for everything - both for a gift for my husband and for Thailand. Basically, I don’t squander this money, and I don’t have a goal to spend it quickly. I am a person who counts money. A large team works with me, for which I thank them very much. All these people who help me should also earn money - they do a great job. So I have somewhere to spend. I don't spend everything on vacations and dresses!

— You and your husband have the same perception of the world. Such a global statement, how is it expressed in detail?

— He and I are very similar, two Aries, it is important for us to go towards our goals and help each other with this. One worldview is when you understand a person and don’t ask him every 15 minutes: “Where are you and what time will you be?” This is when you understand what kind of support he needs at one time or another. I understand, and he knows that there is no need to support me by saying that everything will be fine and sit next to me. Scold me, tell me what I'm doing wrong to help me, and it's the same with him. Give me real advice, your real opinion.

— That is, your husband can tell you about working in cinema, what he didn’t like, and explain it objectively?

- Of course, we work on the same site, and he can tell me: “No, I see this story differently.” But I also say that I see my heroine this way and offer options. More often we just do two takes, from which we choose what we both like best.

—Are you considering an acting career for your son? Maybe he's taking part in the filming?

“As a mother, I think about this a lot.” We see how artistic he is. In the acting profession, you can't earn much unless you're at the top. And there are ten such people in total - it’s true! If he really wants it, we'll think about it and give it to him. a good education in this domain.

Congratulations on the premiere of the film “Grandmothers of Easy Virtue.” In whose head was the enchanting scenario about a swindler hiding in the guise of a grandmother from bandits in a nursing home born?

Marius:
The idea was proposed by Sasha Revva, who loves to transform. He kept telling me: “Marus, let’s do something together, I have an idea - I’m a grandmother, I’m going to a nursing home.” Honestly, for a long time I didn't know how to approach this story. At some point I realized that if we make him not just an old grandmother, but one like Barbra Streisand, and take Sasha’s own mother as a prototype, then we could get a very funny, fashionable and fresh story. I started working on the script, and it took us a long time to get it perfect. It is clear that there is nothing new in the concept itself, because artists have been dressing up as women since the days of Some Like It Hot. The hardest thing was to make a truly fresh film on an old theme.

- What do you remember about filming?

Marius:
For me it was an extremely difficult film from a technical and production point of view. There are a lot of stunts, plastic makeup, which took two and a half hours of the shooting day, a lot of objects, elderly actors. Moreover, we started filming in the fall, and it instantly, almost two weeks after the start of filming, turned into bitter winter.

Natasha:
With rain, hail, blizzard and frost...

Marius:
In the scene where Natasha comes out of the entrance with a suitcase, we had to literally break and melt the ice, remove the snow from under our feet and cover the ground with golden leaves.

Natasha:
A piece of autumn was recreated in the yard, but it was winter all around, and I was standing in a summer coat, waiting for Sasha Revva. Or there was another scene, after which I came down with a sore throat, where I climb out into the hatch of a car flying into the cold at breakneck speed. I asked Sasha not to speed up, but he was driving 70 km/h. I have a bottle of champagne that is almost freezing, sticking to my hand, wild cold, and I shout: “We are happy, we are rich!” There are two blankets wrapped around your back - it’s not easy to stick out of the car hatch at such a speed when the wind just blows you to the hatch. They did several takes, and in the end I had a big bruise on my back; no amount of blankets could save it.

- Was this your first time working together as a director and an actress?

Natasha:
Yes. By the way, when Marius and I met, it turned out that I had watched his films, but did not know that he was their director. He saw me somewhere, but did not understand that I was an actress. It so happened that we first developed a personal relationship. And only then, after a while, Marius began to try me for his projects.

Marius:
Natasha turned out to be an excellent comedic actress. To be honest, it was unexpected, in my opinion, even for her.

Natasha:
In “Granny of Easy Virtue,” my role is small, but quite bright. I play the accomplice of a swindler - the hero of Sasha Revva, trying to scam him out of money. And Marius later, after filming was completed, realized that comedy was mine, and I understood that too. And in January another film by Marius comes out - “ Night shift", where I have the main role. I play a stripper there. For this project, I learned to pole dance.

- Marius, I remember you said not so long ago that you were going to make a thriller. Are you ready to change your favorite genre - comedy?

Marius:
The story is completely unique. I spent four years chasing this Hollywood script, trying to buy the Russian-language rights to it. And finally the writer gave me the rights to a Russian-language remake. I'll start filming in the spring next year. Main role Sasha Petrov will play, I also want to invite Evgeny Mironov. I haven’t decided on the heroine yet: the producers are talking about Sasha Bortich, in principle I don’t mind - I like the actress Bortich.

- What is the story about? Already have a name?

Marius:
The film is called "Down". A story about two young happy newlyweds who are expecting Honeymoon. The guys run into the registry office, sign, then run to their dad for money - a girl from a rich family, happy, kissing, filming each other on an iPhone - in general, complete happiness. They run into the elevator of a skyscraper, and a third man, a man, enters with them. They are riding down in the elevator and on some floor they get stuck, the three of them are in this elevator, they are late for the plane. At first, everyone is giggling and giggling, trying to call the dispatcher, but at some point they realize that they are stuck for a reason and that this man is with them for a reason... I liked this story primarily because it somehow managed to deduce her into a dramatic plane. That is, I hope that I will be able to create a sense of drama, with a philosophical background about what family is, what real love, how is it different from the first happy family year, when there are butterflies in the stomach.

Two halves of one whole

- It must be difficult to be together all the time, both at work and at home?

Natasha:
We are two Aries, very similar in many ways, but in Lately We often understand each other without words. Marius can say: “You know, it seems to me that this should be there, you can hang this here...”. I say, “Okay,” without asking any questions, because I understand what he’s talking about. That is, we think, live, work, love in unison. For me, family is a priority, despite the fact that the work is busy and the character is difficult, but Marius treats this with understanding. I’m hyperactive, and, unfortunately, I don’t cook at all, for me the kitchen is something very alien... A year ago I promised myself to learn, but everything got even worse - I cook scrambled eggs, they burn. I’ve completely forgotten how to do it, although I’m making some attempts, I’m trying. Marius says to me: “Well, I poured some oatmeal, poured boiling water over it, here’s your breakfast.” So I'll definitely get burned, or I'll drown cold water, because I forgot to press the button on the kettle to make it boil. That is, well, not my thing at all. I am grateful to Marius that he treats this with understanding. Otherwise, I can do whatever I want: I organize my life according to full program, garbage is thrown out on time, the house is cleaned, everything is clean, ironed, washed.

Natalya: I don’t cook at all, for me the kitchen is something alien. But Marius treats this with understanding. Photo: Andrey Salov

- That is, you are an ideal housewife in everything except cooking.

Marius:
She is the ideal top manager of the farm (laughs). But for me it's not that important. That is, of course, it is important, but I understand that ideal people can not be.

- Maybe Marius is a wonderful cook?

Natasha:
He doesn’t cook either, well, that’s not our story. Nobody cooks here, but we are so beautiful and slender, we don’t bother at all about food.
Marius: In general, I think you should do something that brings you pleasure, that truly inspires you. A person who loves to cook comes to the store and thinks: “This will go with this, but now I’ll add this.” Cooking - absolutely creative process. Natasha cannot be forcibly realized in the kitchen, she is realized in something else. For me, family doesn’t necessarily mean cooking. If this aspect did not work out for my beloved woman, for me it is not a tragedy at all. There are other things she is great at, like a wife.

- What talents of Natasha’s will you note?

Marius:
Firstly, she is an absolutely brilliant repair engineer, she has golden hands. For example, Natasha can easily assemble a cabinet, design a kitchen, her hands are shaking, she likes it so much. But I can’t even come close to this, I don’t understand where and what to twist. He doesn’t know where our tools are at home - a screwdriver, a drill. Natasha has an engineering mindset, she could be a very cool architect.

Natasha:
Just yesterday I assembled three bookcases. Although there are masters, I take their work away from them, saying, “You screw it in crookedly, slowly, I’d rather do it myself.”
Marius: And then, she is a devoted person, whom I completely trust, with whom we have absolutely the same worldview. And this is many times more important to me than cooking. She and I truly, as they say, live in perfect harmony, we understand what everyone likes, without intruding into each other’s space when it is not necessary. We have found a certain harmony and symbiosis, and at the same time we live as a really happy, healthy and friendly family. This is the first time in my life.

- I wonder what your longest breakup was like?

Natasha:
Marius recently went to Vyborg for two whole days for a festival, I missed him so much.

Marius:
Well, we separated for a long time when Natasha was pregnant and lived in our house in Los Angeles, and I was working here in Russia

- Some couples say that it is necessary to separate, it is very useful for the relationship.

Natasha:
I used to think so too, but now I can’t understand why we have to break up? But all the same, we part during the day - he goes to sports, I go to sports, he goes somewhere and I go about my business. But we don’t have such a situation that we get tired of each other, we feel good together. We have the feeling that we, like puzzles, in a sense, complement each other, like two halves.

Marius:
I have never had such a good time with a person... What can you rest from when you don’t get tired? Moreover, I know what it is to get tired of a person. When he has a different energy, a slightly different worldview, and so on, then either she or you have to adapt all the time, and this happens very often.

Natasha:
We don’t burden each other, we can be close and silent, hugging, but everyone is working, busy with something of their own, I’m reading, he’s doing something. I can tinker in the kitchen, put together another cabinet, for example, Marius is editing his movie, but, nevertheless, the feeling that we are close is there, and this is good and comfortable. We don’t tell each other that if we met, we must solve some problems. Because I have this trait and Marius has it, but somehow we don’t have any problems.

Marius: Natasha and I have the same worldview, and this is much more important to me than cooking. Photo: Andrey Salov

- So, these problems arose in past relationships?

They arose. That is, we met: “Okay, we need to solve this, do something about it.” People always have such conversations, about jealousy, and about everyday life and something else. We don’t have this at all and, thank God, because we have neither the time nor the desire for this. Everyone's life is so crazy now, I wish I could find time to just hug in silence.

Director's wife

Natasha, do you, as the director’s wife, have the right, as they say, on the first night - to be the first to read the script, to choose a role for yourself?
Natasha: No, I don’t want to choose a role for myself just because I’m a wife. And I tell Marius this too. I read the script and go to auditions like everyone else. Although everyone tells me, “What’s the big deal, all directors film their wives.” I won’t be offended if he gives the role to another actress, and even more than that, I even offer him actresses.

Marius:
Yes, she helps me a lot with casting.

Natasha:
I help with casting, I already know all the actors, and many of his friends star in leading roles. Because it is important for me that Marius has successful project. There are roles that don’t suit me, or I don’t want to, or I can’t play them, or I’m even afraid. The situations may be different. And then, I wouldn’t want him to have any limitation - a wife...

Marius:
And I can’t really imagine that I’ll be filming it in explicit scenes...I have serious love lines, where I need two people to have fire, romance. I won’t be comfortable with Natasha, I won’t be able to invest in it myself, I won’t be able to really direct it.
- Does everything have to be real for you?

Marius:
Yes. And here, firstly, for an actor, this is my wife, that is, he plays completely differently. It turns out there is a complete conflict of interests within.

Natasha:
Of course, I don’t want to participate in this either. So that it would be to the detriment of the film or to the detriment of the relationship. Who needs these unnecessary emotions?

Marius:
But I understand, of course, that she is an actress, this cannot be avoided, but I personally am not going to take part in this myself. Natasha consults with me in any case, but we have no taboos or prohibitions.

Natasha: It’s as if by default in our family we have this agreement: you are wise. Everyone is responsible for themselves, but everyone understands in their head how clean they are internally. In comedy it’s all easy, there are basically no such passions, after all, the genre is different. But now I wouldn’t want to play some kind of difficult relationship, love, passion. I’m not ready to act in this because I don’t know how to act and I don’t feel, I’m completely immersed in the role. But I don’t want to experience all this because it would go against my family values. There is quite a lot of other work, a different genre, where you don’t have to break yourself in some way and hurt a loved one.

I've been trying for two years

- Readers, of course, want to know the story of your acquaintance. Who has his eye on whom?

Marius:
I've had my eye on Natasha for a long time now. Although we didn’t know each other, I just saw her in photographs, maybe on TV once. I wrote to her on Facebook for a while, tried to ask her out on a date, organize a meeting for work, no matter what, I just wanted to get to know each other. I came up with various reasons, but for a couple of years there was complete silence. I thought - in a relationship, he probably lives with someone, and I didn’t want to get involved. But I unobtrusively wrote something once every six months, you never know, suddenly the situation will change... Then we finally met.

Natasha:
We met in person at a party two years ago. I remember we were sitting with some girlfriends, and someone brought Marius to our women’s table. He sat, looked at me carefully and said goodbye, “I’ll write to you again.”

Marius:
Yes, she never answered me.

Natalya: we are two Aries, we are similar in many ways, and lately we often understand each other without words. Photo: Andrey Salov

- Why were they ignored?

Natasha:
Firstly, I was in a relationship, and secondly, I had never met anyone on the Internet at all. I have never been attracted by the prospects, neither directorial nor monetary, nor anything, it doesn’t matter to me. I only have this: I saw it, I was hooked, that’s it. But still, fate brought us together.

- Marius wrote again, and you still answered?

Natasha:
Wrote. I already realized that it wouldn’t work out directly, I started sending me scripts, and I told him: “This is a small role, I won’t play it.” But he behaved so gallantly, wrote so kindly, and called for his birthday, and called everywhere. And most importantly, unobtrusively, but regularly. And I decided that I still need to pay attention to this. She wrote: “Well, okay, we can drink tea, just talk about work.” We met and sat on our first date for six hours, the restaurant was closed, they kicked us out, but we couldn’t talk enough. Everything comes together: about work, and about prospects, and about hopes, and about dreams, and in general about everything. And there were five such dates, we sat for five or six hours, could not close our mouths for a second, and then we never parted.

Marius:
I went to Kyiv to make a movie, we talked on the phone, I flew in as soon as I could for one day. It was such a beautiful story.

Natasha:
He generally flew in in the morning, flew away in the evening, walked with me for a day and left. I was in Kyiv and constantly sent flowers with postcards. An unfamiliar number would regularly call me, I would pick up the phone and hear: “Hello, where can I deliver flowers to you?” And all the time there were such romantic cards if I got sick or something else. I still have them all.

- For you the most valuable quality in Marius, his main feature character that captivated you?

Natasha:
He's warm and he's responsible. This is something I very rarely see in people. That is, if Marius said it, he will do it. In addition, he is well-mannered, very kind, sympathetic, he will always regret. If there is any problem, he will help. If I get sick, he will run all over Moscow buying medicine. In general, for me he is the ideal man.

- All these qualities were influenced by the fact that Marius has been living in America for more than 20 years?

Natasha:
Yes, there is merit in this. Because many Russian men They are constantly looking, it seems to me, for some kind of trick: “Where is the poop?” We all live like this: “Now something will happen.” But this is not the case with Marius, he always believes everyone, looks at the world with open eyes. And he doesn't have anything in his pocket. I also started learning this from him, and I’m already scared, because I’m also becoming the same, kindness consumes, and everyone already seems good to you.

Natalya: Marius took me to Hawaii and proposed there. It was so cool, just magical! Photo: Andrey Salov

- Where do you spend most of your time, where is your home now?

Marius:
We used to live in Los Angeles for a long time, but now there is a lot of work here. It’s been six months since we settled in Moscow that we’ve been furnishing an apartment and finishing the construction of a dacha.

The wedding is just around the corner

- A year ago there was information that Marius proposed, and you are preparing for the wedding. But still not a word about the wedding itself. Did you get married after all or not?

Marius:
No, we haven’t gotten married, but we will definitely get married. This year has been very difficult for work, we just physically can’t keep up.

Natasha:
Marius took me to Hawaii and proposed to me very beautifully there. It was so cool, just magical. This is a very personal moment for me; I haven’t told many people about it. I just posted a photo on Instagram that day with the date and wrote: “Let it stay here.” We have already bought the rings, but there is absolutely no time yet.

Marius:
We choose a place in Moscow and take aim. You have to organize everything really well, gather all your friends. And now we have a lot of things: we built a dacha outside the city, renovations in the apartment, work. But we don’t have anything that needs to be done urgently, urgently, we have nowhere to rush, because everything is great with us anyway. On the contrary, there will be something to look forward to.

Natasha:
We're in no hurry. The wedding will not escape us, the rings are there, all that remains is to invite our friends. I'm in no hurry because I'm a bride. Every day I wake up as a bride. I prolong my pleasure. And it's so cool.

They wanted a daughter, but they gave birth to an awesome son

- Why has no one seen your son, Weisberg Jr., where have you been hiding him for the second year now? What's his name?

Natasha: They named him Eric, in honor of Father Marius. And our godfather is Pasha Derevyanko, our big friend. We are not hiding our son on purpose, we will definitely show him, but we are waiting for some special occasion and moment for this. We live almost our whole life in public, everyone sees everything, everyone knows everything. Somehow I want there to be something of my own, so that the child doesn’t have to be terrorized with these photographs. Because this is his world, which we relate to warmly and reverently.

- Tell us about Eric, what is he like, who is he like?

Natasha: Oh, he's so cool, just an angel. To be honest, sometimes I’m even afraid to show it to my friends. Although I am not superstitious, I think that people are all different, and some are not very kind. I don’t want there to be any negativity towards the baby. He's so cool! He looks like Marius, a real daddy's son. Smiling, laughs constantly. Now Marius will show you.

Marius is scrolling through photos on her phone of a charming blond toddler with long wavy hair. Little Eric is very similar to his dad, but his eyes - bright blue - are exactly like his mother's.

Marius: when I met Natasha, I immediately realized that this was the woman with whom I wanted a child and everything else. Photo: Andrey Salov

Marius:
We have a wonderful child. But he is still so small, so defenseless, that it is very scary to destroy that idyll where the child is in a cocoon of happiness and love... He is happy, smiling, he is, ugh, ugh, ugh, healthy. And why, why do we publish his photo? I don’t think that a small child should be taken somewhere, shown, because it’s stressful for him... Let him mature a little, be formed. When we came with him from America, Eric was just a baby, but now I look at him and see that he has already become stronger, he is already such an independent man, he walks on his own. Now I feel comfortable going somewhere with him, taking him with me so that he can communicate with someone. Our wonderful grandmother, Natasha’s mother, helps us a lot. Soon my mother will fly in to help.

- Did you immediately want a child, or was this news pleasant, but unexpected?

Marius:
To be honest, we didn’t plan anything, it just happened that way. But we treated each other so tenderly and touchingly that we could not imagine that now we would do anything other than give birth. In general, when I met Natasha, I immediately realized that this was the woman with whom I wanted a child and everything else. Maybe, again, because we are two Aries, everything is quite organic for us. We don't plan anything, we don't force anything. But we value some main things, we treat them with care, so as not to offend each other, not to hurt each other in any way, we protect each other emotionally. Our son is now the most important thing for us, as they say, our main common project. We conceived him in Spain. And after some time Natasha says to me: “Can you imagine...”. I exclaimed: “What a thrill!” That's all. By and large, it all happened so naturally that we didn’t have any dilemmas, we did it, gave birth, and are now raising it.

- Was it important to you who was born, a boy or a girl, or didn’t it matter?

Marius:
They both wanted a girl, but an awesome boy was born, and now I can’t even imagine that it might not have been him...

- Well, you probably won’t stop at one child?

Natasha:
I just want Marius to get fat next time, give birth, and then lose weight (laughs).

“Granny of Easy Virtue” is already in cinemas
