"Anthill" in Blaginina's homeland

Third grader Katya Golubeva

It is difficult to find a children's library that does not have books by Elena Aleksandrovna Blaginina,

She was born in 1903 in the Oryol region, and carried her love for it throughout her long creative life. “The Oryol region is so alive in me that it is enough to barely touch my memory, and everything connected with these places appears more clearly than reality.”

Over the rye, crushed by the rain,

The day is almost through,

The Oryol wind smells like mint,

Wormwood, honey, silence...

It was on such a day (even a warm rain ran through!) that the editors of the magazine “Anthill” were lucky to come to the village of Yakovlevo, where Elena Blaginina was born 110 years ago. A large literary festival was dedicated to this memorable date, in which adults and children took part. In the huge clearing of the ancient park, the students of the Yakovlev School named after E.A. especially stood out. Thank you. They enthusiastically read the poems of their famous countrywoman and sang songs.

I would like to sincerely thank the initiators and organizers of this bright literary holiday! This is, first of all, the head of the administration of the Sverdlovsk district of the Oryol region Anna Kharitonovna Voronina and her deputy Yuri Georgievich Efremov, director of the Oryol regional children's library named after M.M. Prishvina Irina Aleksandrovna Nikashkina, director of the central district library Elena Viktorovna Savoskina and head of the children's library named after E.A. Blaginina Elena Anatolyevna Kudryavtseva, and, of course, an active devotee and teacher Tatyana Iosifovna Mozhina - director of the Yakovlevsky Basic School named after E.A. Blaginina, who in the 1970s had a chance to meet Elena Alexandrovna herself.

About Blagininsky holiday

The world of Elena Blaginina's childhood

04.06.2013 12:41

May 27 marked the 110th anniversary of the birth of Elena Alexandrovna Blaginina, a wonderful children's poet. The anniversary was widely celebrated in the Oryol region, her small homeland.

Blaginina's legacy is highly valued by her fellow countrymen. Literary festivals took place in all children's libraries in the city of Orel and the region.

In the regional children's library, the annual Week “Oryol Book Gathers Friends” was dedicated to this date. The United State Literary Museum of I. S. Turgenev, whose collections contain a large amount of material about Blaginina’s life and work, as well as her personal belongings and furniture (including the poet’s desk), has prepared the exhibition “Waiting for Magic.”

But the biggest celebrations took place in the village of Yakovlevo, Sverdlovsk region. Elena Blaginina was born here on May 27, 1903. Her first poem appeared here. “I started writing poetry at the age of eight, and wrote my first poem in Yakovlev Park.” A memorial plaque with these words is installed on the building of the central children's library of the Sverdlovsk region, which since 2005 has been named after E. A. Blaginina. In 2011, the library established a regional poetry competition named after. E. A. Blaginina “Children’s Lyre”. The competition was included in the reader development program “Reading Blaginina” and is held annually among readers of the region’s libraries. As a result, a collection of children's poems was published. The children's library of the Sverdlovsk region became one of the organizers and participants of the holiday in the village of Yakovlevo.

A large number of guests gathered in the huge clearing of the ancient Yakovlevsky park, where the Blaginin holidays traditionally take place. The main participants of the holiday are children - students of the Yakovlevsky secondary school and girls and boys from the village of Zmiyovka. They read Blaginina's poems, sang songs, danced, looked at colorful exhibitions and actively took pictures near the portrait of the famous countrywoman. The younger generation was greeted by guests from Orel: writers, poets, museum and library workers.

Writer, editor-in-chief of the magazine “Anthill” N. N. Starchenko (Moscow) came especially to participate in the Blaganin holiday. It’s hard to call him a guest: Nikolai Nikolaevich lived and worked in Orel for many years, fell in love with this region and considers it his home. “In the poems of Elena Aleksandrovna Blaginina there is the most important thing - a feeling of admiration for the world,” emphasized Nikolai Nikolaevich. Another of our great countrymen, Ivan Bunin, once said: Look how beautiful the world of God is, and how little we know and see about it. Perhaps only in childhood, and then we forget.” Elena Blaginina in her poems preserves a child's perception of the beauty of the world.

I would like to believe that Elena Blaginina’s poems will be loved by many more generations of young readers, and her clear, unique voice will never cease to be heard in poetry for children.

May 14 marked the 115th anniversary of the birth of children's writer Elena Aleksandrovna Blaginina. On this day, the head of the October Library, Lyubov Vasilievna Bryukhanova, held an hour of poetry “Through the pages of Elena Blaginina’s work” for the students of the senior group of the “Smile” kindergarten.

The event began with an introduction to the writer’s biography. The guys were very surprised to learn that Elena Alexandrovna began creating her works from the age of eight. Some poems were already familiar to the children, such as “Let's Sit in Silence,” “Spark,” and others, so many of those present quoted passages by heart.

Since the heroes of all E. Blaginina’s poems are children, the children compared themselves with them. For example, they said that they help their younger brothers and sisters in the same way as the heroine of the poem “I’ll teach my brother how to put on shoes.” And when reading the poem “Frost,” they correctly answered the question: “Will we help defenseless people like this?” The guys offered their options for helping birds in winter.
With great pleasure, the children guessed the riddles that E. Blaginina came up with for them. The guys found it very interesting to compare an icicle with a silver dagger, and an apple with a Matryoshka doll.
The event ended with a reading aloud of the wonderful spring poem “Bird cherry”.

: Guys! We have gathered in our hall to celebrate the 110th anniversary of the wonderful and beloved children's poetess Elena Aleksandrovna Blaginina. She was published in the children's magazine "Murzilka", where such poets as Sergei Mikhalkov, Agnia Barto, Samuil Marshak were published. The guys immediately fell in love with her and her poems. And Blaginina’s poems are very different, but they are all about what is close and dear to children: about rainbows and rain, about the wind and birch trees, about the garden and vegetable garden and, of course, about the children themselves, about their joys and sorrows.
