The most vivid memory of the faculty for me is meeting with Vitaly Aleksandrovich Slastenin. I was delighted with him! And I am incredibly happy that he was my supervisor. It was he who taught me not to be disappointed in my abilities, but to make efforts and fight difficulties.

As for teenagers, as a psychologist by training, I know for sure: a person has a protest age when he must rebel and resist the system. Children who sold their protest time to government organizations for illusory career growth are complete losers. After all, regardless of age, the ability to critically analyze the situation around oneself is one of the most important for a person. Development is overcoming the crisis. And if you don’t see the crisis and don’t move forward, you are lost as a person.

A stipend of even 7 rubles is good, but still not enough. And in those days, when I was still studying at the 2nd Moscow State University, a whole brigade of us students became night watchmen to protect university buildings. On frosty winter nights I walked around Pirogovka, the snow creaking, with a cold, iron-burning rifle in my hands. We had a shelter - a booth that stood right on the street. I climbed into it to warm myself and indulged in my thoughts, trying to carefully and consistently think through this or that philosophical question that was tormenting me.

There is a subjective opinion among students: I pay and bring money, so they won’t expel me. But a state employee also brings money, his training is paid for by the budget. Therefore, it makes no difference to a good university whether a paid student is a candidate for expulsion or not.

In 1995 she graduated from the Faculty of Pedagogy and Psychology of the MPGI named after. Lenin with honors. Artist, author of performances and installations, candidate of psychological sciences, teacher, art therapist.

First I became a psychologist and did psychotherapy. By the way, its basic principle sounds almost the same as Beuys’s famous phrase: “Every person is an artist.” In the sense that everyone is the author of their own life, which can and should be approached creatively and actively.

Materials from medical and pedagogical consultations and studies of children entering blind schools currently indicate that the diversity of children with various combinations of blindness and other mental and physical disorders, such as profound visual impairment and speech impediments, mental retardation, mental backwardness, musculoskeletal disorders and others are on the rise. However, the creation of specialized schools for children with various complex defects is not socially and economically justified. They would be few in number and expensive. It is necessary to differentiate the education of the blind within the school and within the classroom.

An artist is not the most prestigious profession for an Eastern woman who honors national traditions. This is not accepted in Korean families: there the wife completely belongs to the family and is completely submissive to her husband. So my husband is no exception in this regard. But I’m persistent: if I set myself a goal, I’ll definitely achieve it. So we released the album. Then they recorded the song “Mom” and shot a video. At the same time, I entered the pop department. I would also like to go into directing, but I think that a fourth degree is too much...

But - to the question of the benefits of philosophy - those who do not know their history are forced to go through it again. Our disrespect for our own intellectual experience, in particular philosophy, neglecting this inevitably returns to the circle. If we cannot learn from the mistakes of others, then we will continue to learn from our own for centuries. I believe that knowledge of history and philosophical thought, at a minimum, saves historical time. When we read what our ancestors thought when solving related problems, we save our own time thinking through these issues.

Graduate of doctoral studies at the Faculty of Pedagogy and Psychology of Moscow State Pedagogical University. Alexander Anatolyevich Yarulov , Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Candidate of Psychological Sciences, Associate Professor, General Director of the Department of Education and Science of the Administration of the Krasnoyarsk Territory (1996–1998), Director of the Non-Moscow Boarding Lyceum "Podmoskovny", Professor of the Department of Educational Systems Management of the Institute of Social and Humanitarian Education of Moscow State Pedagogical University (Problems of Education and Personality Development, 1996)

State Pedagogical University is a concept that unites various universities. Each educational institution has its own advantages and disadvantages. Let's consider those educational organizations that operate in the capital and St. Petersburg and attract people with their prestige and modern material and technical base. These are the Herzen State Pedagogical University, the Moscow State Pedagogical University, and the Moscow City Pedagogical University.

Introduction to the Russian State Pedagogical University named after. A. I. Herzen

RGPU named after. A.I. Herzen - this is how the Russian State Pedagogical University is designated. It is located in St. Petersburg on the Moika River Embankment, 48. This is one of the most famous universities in our country. It is believed that he appeared back in 1797. Initially it was a St. Petersburg orphanage, where orphans were given the basics of pedagogical education.

At the beginning of the 20th century, the educational home was transformed into the Third Petrograd Pedagogical Institute. It was created to train school teachers. Later the university became the Leningrad State Pedagogical Institute named after A. I. Herzen.

Modern advantages of RGPU

The Russian State Pedagogical University has achieved a lot over the years of its existence. High-quality long-term work has now ensured that the university is included in significant rankings:

  • in the top 150 best universities in the BRICS countries (according to QS University Rankings);
  • in the top 40 best universities in the country (according to the RAEX agency);
  • in the top 3 of the best Federation in terms of quality of admission in some areas of training, etc.

The Pedagogical University has formed a good material and technical base. It includes 60 buildings. Of these, the number of educational and laboratory buildings is 26. In all these premises there are classrooms, educational laboratories, and a library. In order to make the life of students interesting and not limited to studies, the university created a student club and gyms.

International activities of Herzen University

The Russian Pedagogical University is engaged not only in educational activities. It is active in international activities, because it is an integral and important part of the development of the university. Agreements have been signed with educational organizations from different countries. These documents made it possible for the university to train a new generation of personnel who have modern knowledge and speak foreign languages.

The university has a huge number of partners. They are foreign universities, research and educational centers, and international organizations. More than 130 contracts have been concluded. Here are some for example:

  1. Cooperation is ongoing with the Federal Ministry of Education and Women's Affairs of Austria. As part of this agreement, university teachers undergo internships in German.
  2. An agreement was signed with the Center of a country such as Finland to receive financial support for teaching Finnish culture and language.

Educational activities of the Russian State Pedagogical University

In terms of the scale of its educational activities, the pedagogical institution is ahead of many higher educational institutions in our country. It offers several dozen specialties. Priority training programs are pedagogical.

Among them are non-core ones, for which lawyers, economists, managers and other similar personnel are trained. The university management believes that offering non-core programs to applicants is one of the directions for the development of the educational institution. By the way, the Russian State Pedagogical University does not teach ordinary economists or lawyers. Preparation is more clearly directed towards the education system and the social sphere.

What else does Herzen University offer?

The university also offers interesting activities in your free time. First of all, you should pay attention to the sports direction. The university has a student sports club. He acts as an organizer of various events. For example, in 2016, thanks to the work of the student sports club, swimming, curling, bowling competitions, a festival of sports games, a meeting among women’s football teams, etc. were held.

Students at the Pedagogical University are always eager to take part in creative and intellectual events. Students express themselves in the “What? Where? When?”, in competitions of designers, fashion designers. Particularly worth noting is the end of 2016, when students took part in “Barrier-Free Creativity”. This was the name of an inclusive festival in which people with disabilities demonstrated their talents.

What they say about RGPU

Over the years, the Pedagogical University has trained a huge number of highly qualified specialists. Their number amounts to several thousand. Most graduates say kind words about the university. One of the main advantages is the wide selection of faculties and institutes that are part of the Russian State Pedagogical University. From life safety to jurisprudence, from music, theater and choreography to foreign languages - these are the areas with which the structural divisions of the university are associated.

The second important advantage that graduates talk about is the demand for specialists formed within the walls of the Russian State Pedagogical University. The university has a special employment assistance center. It regularly receives requests from the Committee for General and Vocational Education of the Leningrad Region, the Education Committee of the Government of St. Petersburg, and city and regional educational institutions.

Statistics show that with a diploma from the Russian State Pedagogical University it is easy to find a job. The university analyzed the class of 2016. According to the information received, it became known that 99.4% of graduates were employed. Of this number, more than 70% of people connected their lives with their acquired specialty. Only 12 graduates were unemployed. At the time of collecting this information, they were unemployed and used the services of the employment center.

About Moscow Pedagogical State University

Another educational institution that trains specialists for the field of education is the Moscow State Pedagogical University, located on Malaya Pirogovskaya Street, 1. It began its history in 1872 in the form of the Moscow Higher Women's Courses, which grew a few years later into the Second Moscow State University, and later - to the pedagogical university.

Today MPGU is a large educational institution. It owns 32 educational and laboratory buildings, 7 dormitories. The university has branches in a huge number of cities - Anapa, Balabanovo, Derbent, Yegoryevsk, Novosibirsk, Pokrov, Sergiev Posad, Stavropol, Shadrinsk.

Features of the Pedagogical University

Moscow Pedagogical State University is actively developing international cooperation. The university has concluded a number of agreements:

  • with the Austrian Higher School of Education;
  • with the Polish University of Hradec Kralove;
  • with the Belgian University College;
  • with the British University of Durham, etc.

Another important feature of the university is to create comfortable conditions for students. Freshmen are encouraged to begin their studies with a period of practical orientation, periods of adaptation and immersion.

Institutes and faculties of the Pedagogical University

The university has 16 structural divisions. Some of them, for example: Institute of Philology, Geographical Social and Humanitarian Education, Faculty of Pedagogy and Psychology. There is a division in the structure that has an unusual name - the Institute of Higher School of Education. It has been operating since 2015 and is engaged in the training of highly qualified teachers and pedagogical retraining of specialists in non-teaching specialties. There is only one direction in the bachelor's degree program at this institute - psychological and pedagogical education.

A special structural unit of the Moscow Pedagogical University is the MPGU College. It traces the history of its educational activities since 1994. There are few specialties offered at the college - only 4. These are “construction and operation of buildings and structures”, “information systems (by industry)”, “hotel service”, “design (by industry)”.

Pedagogical University Library

An important structural element of MPGU is the library. It provides students with all the necessary literature - information and reference books, educational, scientific books, periodicals. The collection consists of a huge number of units, because the library was founded in 1873. It was created immediately after the opening of the Moscow Higher Women's Courses.

Now the library is a modern department. Its reading rooms have computers with Internet access. The library operates in the automated information library system ABIS Absotheque Unicode and acquires electronic network resources for students and teachers.

Extracurricular life at MPGU

Applicants, when choosing Moscow Pedagogical University, are interested not only in the educational activities of the university. Extracurricular life plays an important role for applicants, because no one sits forever at textbooks. A teaching team has been created at the university. It helps students develop leadership qualities and become socially active individuals. In the teaching team, students learn to organize recreation, leisure and employment for adolescents and children.

Since 2003, a rescue team has been operating at the Pedagogical University (MSPU). For students who have joined it, in their free time from study they conduct classes on the “initial training of rescuers” program. It includes the study of several very important disciplines - fire training, medical training, physical training, etc.

Student at this university: I studied at the Moscow State Pedagogical University at the Faculty of Foreign Languages for exactly a year and that was enough for me. I write only my personal impressions of this university. Now I'm studying at another university and I have something to compare with. My acquaintance with MPGU occurred at the open day. And what should have immediately put me off was the sight of the KGF building on Vernadsky Avenue. But for some reason I wasn’t put off. Inside on the first floor everything seems to be decent, as it seemed then. Later, during the admissions campaign, I went up to the 6th floor of the Faculty of Foreign Languages. To say that there has been no renovation there for a long time is to say nothing. But by the way, the reception of documents took place in a more or less decent audience. I just didn’t see other audiences back then. I don’t know what motivated me and why I chose MSGU. I still can’t answer this question for myself. Probably its seasoned greatness and the fact that it was the first and leading pedagogical university in the country. The key word here is "was". We, future students, came to the student meeting. How many unsubstantiated words were said back then, it was such a mess. And about financial support, and about large scholarships, and about an individual approach, and even about the fact that the university will try to provide every (!) student with a laptop if necessary. Naturally, all this was a lie. And by the way, the woman whom I told us about all the wonderful prospects, I never met again at the university.
I paid little attention to the state of the university in the last paragraph, now I want to describe it in more detail. I was absolutely horrified by the state of some of the classrooms when we were cleaning. Huge holes in the linoleum, desks that were held up only by chewing gum, and chairs that looked like they had been brought from the trash heap. These are just some of the delights of auditoriums. The windows apparently have not been replaced since the building was built. It was scary to even open them; it seemed like they were about to fall on your head. And in winter there was a terrible draft blowing from them. The most remarkable thing is the toilets, or rather the lack thereof. Instead there are holes in the floor. No, of course it’s not like this everywhere, but the main toilets on the floors are like this, except for the first and second. There is no need to talk about the presence of toilet paper. KGF also has very “wonderful” elevators. They, too, seem to have not been changed since the 60-70s of the last century. It may happen that you get stuck and it won’t be long before you get out of there. A small point in favor of the KGF is the large dining room and she is no longer alone there. In general, there is somewhere to eat. It’s also very cool in physical education, especially the locker room that doesn’t lock, so you either drag your bags into the gym, or the person on duty stays and sits with the bags. But this also has a small plus: if you are sitting with bags, you will be counted as having attended a couple of physical classes.
I have already described the state of the classrooms, let’s move on to the organization and work of the dean’s office, if this can be called “work.” For the first time, I encountered a problem when I received my student's permit. Most of my classmates received their numbers on September 5-7, but I only received them half a month later. Me and the other poor souls stood in line for 4 hours, while the lady who was supposed to give them to us kept leaving for lunch. The dean's office did not expel the girl from my group until December, although she did not appear at the university for three months. Then we had an amazing schedule. Firstly, the audiences did not correspond to reality, or two different objects could be placed in one audience, and whoever comes first gets the audience. Secondly, 3-4 groups could be placed at one seminar; in some of the rooms we could barely fit. Some had to practically sit in the corridor. Then another “entertainment” of ours was to look for half a pair of chairs for ourselves. The lectures were also fun. The entire stream was often bet on them, these are 20 groups, and in each group there are 16 people. There were times when I had to sit on the stairs or were so crowded that it was difficult to write. Accordingly, due to so many people, the teacher at the middle desks could no longer be heard.
Now the next point. How the pairs go and a few words about the teachers. I admit, not all couples were so terrible, there were some that were quite okay. The main language pairs go through one group. Such as grammar, speaking practice and phonetics. But language practice itself is incredibly little. We spoke very little English. Otherwise, you'll be lucky with the teacher. Now about the teachers. There are often tyrants. For example, my worst teacher was Anna Aleksandrovna Tirskaya. She is just a terrible teacher, she could yell, be rude, and was always 20 minutes late. Insulting students is a common thing for her. I was constantly shaking in front of her couple. One day she yelled at me for finding her the wrong audience. Yes, we had to find her an audience for a couple, then call her so that she would deign to come down. She is one of the strongest phoneticians at MPGU, but as a teacher and as a person she is simply disgusting. Because of her, many students were expelled from the university. She simply brought them down during the exam and the test and did not hesitate to insult them at the same time. She constantly went through our mental abilities, saying that we were all in the wrong university. I don't know who would like this approach to teaching. I just didn’t understand it, I had to hire a phonetics tutor because I didn’t understand anything. She failed me on the final test, but fortunately another teacher took the exam. I don’t understand why such “tactful” teachers are even allowed to work. There are a couple of other teachers that I was simply shocked by. But at MPGU there are strong and adequate teachers. The only thing is that they just “meet” and how lucky they are. There was a teacher who allowed himself to be 40 minutes late, and then generally announced that we would not conduct lectures and seminars because Moscow State Pedagogical University did not pay him for it. Of course, teachers are also in a difficult situation at this university.
I also like that now freshmen pay 195 thousand a year and this is only for English, two languages are even more expensive. At MPGU, students have an unspoken question: What is the money spent on? Obviously not for renovation.
I would also like to tell a story about how I was expelled. I went through seven circles of hell. I couldn’t expel for three months (!) I swore and quarreled. It's just scary to remember.
I tried to describe everything to the maximum. These are the memories this university left about itself. My advice to applicants. Think carefully before entering MPGU. At least in foreign language. MSGU likes to recruit a lot of people; there can be 18 people in a group. Normal teaching is out of the question. Money leakage is also another unclear issue. I recommend that if you still want to go to Moscow State Pedagogical University, ask around 2-4 year students. Ask about everything you are interested in. And better than several people. Also, if you definitely decide to enroll at Moscow State Pedagogical University, make acquaintances with people from different groups. This will help you in the future, you will exchange information and homework.
I had such a bitter experience. And how glad I am that I still transferred to another university. It's just heaven and earth!

). In 1804, the teachers' gymnasium received the name of the Pedagogical Institute, which since 1837 was located in the building of the Twelve Colleges. From October 1808 to 1811 its director was I. Boulet.

On December 23, 1816, the Pedagogical Institute received the name of the Main Pedagogical Institute and a charter that established a new, six-year course of teaching. D. A. Kavelin was appointed its director. In 1817, the Noble boarding school was opened (since 1830 - the 1st St. Petersburg gymnasium); At the boarding house there were advanced training courses for officials of civil departments of various ranks. The pedagogical institute accepted government students from theological seminaries; as A. N. Golitsyn noted in 1822, “of them<семинарий>those who have some ability for learning and better morality are retained primarily for admission to the clergy, and for education in the secular ranks, seminarians of the lower classes are always delivered and those who no longer show special abilities and are not so much reliable.”

In February 1819, the Main Pedagogical Institute, without having completed a single graduation, was transformed into St. Petersburg University. At the same time, until January 4 (16) of the year, the university continued to function according to the Charter of the Main Pedagogical Institute, until the Charter of Moscow University was introduced there.

Teachers' Institute

In 1817, on October 25, a department was organized: “Second-class Main Pedagogical Institute,” in which 30 students studied, mainly from children of poor circumstances; pupils were accepted at the age of 12-14 years for government support; the course of study, which lasted 4 years, included 5 subjects: the law of God, the Russian language, mathematics and physics, history and geography, penmanship and drawing; graduates were to be sent as assistant teachers of public schools, and the best of them were sent to the “highest rank” of the Main Pedagogical Institute or other higher educational institution.

The “Second Class” department began to be called the “Teachers’ Institute” on September 19, 1819. It existed until 1823; it was led by F. I. Middendorf, the teachers were those who returned after a three-year trip abroad to familiarize themselves with the Lancastrian system, graduates of the Main Pedagogical Institute: K. F. Svenske (Russian language), F. I. Busse (mathematics), M. M. Timaev (history), A. G. Obodovsky (geography). The law of God was invited to teach G.I. Mansvetov, penmanship - K.F. Engelbach, drawing - F.K. Reder.

It was located in the house of the Metropolitan of the Roman Catholic Churches in Russia, Stanislav Bogush-Sestrentsevich: on Meshchanskaya (now Kazanskaya Street), 63 (“2nd from the corner from Gorokhovaya”).

Graduates were required to remain in service in the educational department, in his direction, for at least six years. However, not a single graduation occurred, since in 1823 all students and teachers ended up first in the “Boarding School for State Gymnasium Students”, and then in the St. Petersburg Provincial Gymnasium (since 1838 - the Third St. Petersburg Gymnasium). Among the first students were: Vasily Lapshin, Stepan and Mikhail Kutorga.

Main Pedagogical Institute

The Main Pedagogical Institute was restored in less than ten years - according to the charter established on September 30 (October 12), 1828. Its opening took place on August 30, 1829. The first director was F. I. Middendorf, who, upon his retirement on October 23, 1846, was promoted to the rank of Privy Councilor.

According to the charter, the Main Pedagogical Institute had three departments: historical and philological, legal (existed until 1847) and physical and mathematical. The duration of training at the Main Pedagogical Institute was six years.

On January 7, 1847, I. I. Davydov was appointed director of the institute. Under him, the legal department was abolished (since 1847) and the duration of training was reduced to four years from 1849.

About one hundred students were trained at the Main Pedagogical Institute at any one time. Most of the future teachers received subsidies for their education from the state treasury.

In just 11 graduations, the Main Pedagogical Institute trained 682 teachers, of whom 43 became professors and teachers in higher educational institutions, 377 became secondary school teachers, and 262 became primary school teachers.

Story

The history of the Moscow Pedagogical State University begins in 1872, when the Moscow Higher Women's Courses (MVZhK) were founded, which existed until 1918 (with a break in 1888-1900).

In 1918, MVZhK were transformed into Second Moscow State University(II Moscow State University).

In 1930, the 2nd Moscow State University was divided into three independent universities, including Moscow State Pedagogical Institute, which became the legal successor of the university.

In 1932-1938, the institute was named after A. S. Bubnov, in 1941-1997 - named after V. I. Lenin.

In 1990, Moscow State Pedagogical Institute received university status and its current name.

Guerrier courses (1872-1888)

The first educational institution for women with a university program in Russia. Founded by Moscow University professor V.I. Guerrier.

The opening of the courses took place on November 1, 1872. The training program was initially two-year, but from the 1876/77 academic year it became three-year. Specialization was almost not provided for; historical and philological disciplines predominated. Completing Guerrier’s courses did not give him any formal rights.

The courses worked in the premises of the First Moscow Men's Gymnasium (1872-1873), then in the premises of the Museum of the Polytechnic Exhibition on Prechistenka (1873-1877) and in a building specially built for the Polytechnic Museum (1877-1888).

The number of students on the courses was quite high at that time: by the mid-80s it exceeded 200 people.

In 1886, the Ministry of Public Education prohibited admission to the courses, and they closed in 1888.

“Public readings” and “collective lessons” (1888-1900)

Since 1886 (when admission to Guerrier’s courses was stopped), the Polytechnic Museum began giving “public lectures” for women, systematically organized in separate cycles. Basically, the lectures were given by the same professors who had previously worked on the courses, and they took place in the same premises. The "public lectures" continued until 1892, when they were closed by the government.

Since the same 1886, there have been “collective lessons” organized by the Moscow Society of Educators and Teachers, distinguished by a bias towards the natural sciences. In 1892, most of the teachers and students of the “public readings” joined the “collective lessons” that were held until 1900, when the Moscow Higher Women's Courses were reopened.

Moscow Higher Women's Courses (1900-1918)

Problems and criticism

In 2012, Moscow State Pedagogical University was included in the list of universities with signs of inefficiency.

In 2015, MPGU branches in Bryansk, Krasnodar and Ulyanovsk were closed. According to the online media “73online.ru”, the Ulyanovsk branch was closed due to poor performance according to the results of an audit by the Russian Ministry of Education and Science.

In 2015, the Russian Ministry of Education and Science declared the last operating branch of Moscow Pedagogical University in Novosibirsk ineffective. The branch is scheduled to close in 2017.

Criticism of violations of academic ethics

In November 2012, a scandal erupted with the defense of dissertations by Andrei Andriyanov and Vladimir Tor in the dissertation council D 212.154.01 (head of the council - A. A. Danilov) at the Moscow Pedagogical State University due to the abundance of plagiarism, as well as falsifications in the list of publications found in a number of dissertations defended in the same dissertation council.

A journalistic investigation revealed problems with many other dissertations defended by the council (plagiarism, links to non-existent publications). According to the network expert community “Dissernet”, “90 fake defenses” occurred in this dissertation council.

On July 8, 2013, in connection with the scandal, the rector of Moscow State Pedagogical University V.L. Matrosov was removed from his post.
