Tell us the story of how you started working out?
It all started when I became pregnant, and like many, I immediately relaxed. Before that, I went to the gym, kept myself in shape and weighed 56 kg.
But as soon as I found out that we were expecting a child, I immediately began to eat everything I could find: sweet, salty, fatty, and sometimes all at once. I consoled myself with the fact that my child would not have enough vitamins, or that, well, I wanted to, but pregnant women cannot refuse something.
By the 4th month, my belly and I looked as if we were pregnant, again I calmed myself down and said: this is the shape of my belly and continued not to leave the refrigerator! When the weight gain exceeded 20 kg, doctors began to scare me that this was very bad, that preeclampsia (a type of toxicosis) and gestosis (complications of a normal pregnancy, characterized by a disorder of a number of organs and systems of the body) could develop. I shrugged it off and didn’t even realize that I was only making things worse for myself and my child.
As a result, I was put on preservation due to excessive weight gain. When I went to give birth, my weight was 88 kilograms - I gained more than 30 kg. The birth was difficult, but everything worked out, the baby was born healthy, but underweight.

On the 3rd day after giving birth, I stepped on the scale, and the number scared me. I always thought that after childbirth I lose 10 kilograms, but the scales showed 84 kg. I didn’t understand what’s next: diets, sports or just a loop?! After giving birth, I couldn’t play sports for 4 months; besides, I was breastfeeding and couldn’t go on a diet. I tried to start with proper nutrition, but my gaze still fell on the buns and cutlets, I broke down, started again, and broke down again, I didn’t even think about losing the weight!
After 4 months, I purchased a subscription because I couldn’t look at myself in the mirror, bought roller skates and started rolling around the park with a stroller, started going for massages and Charcot showers, and finally going to the gym. I worked out without a trainer, I was very embarrassed. I started studying sports literature, watching videos and practicing them at home. Then my motivation was my husband, because I understood how difficult and not very pleasant it was for him to be with a woman three times his size. Yes, I gave birth to his child, but this is not an excuse for letting myself go like this, I was scared just by the thought that he would look at the thin and fit. Every day, frightening myself with this, I ran to the hall in the morning while my family was sleeping, and was already back by the time they woke up.

What did you do in the gym for the first time? What mistakes did you make?
I did strength training and cardio, prescribed myself a couple of workouts for fat burning (all workouts with proper nutrition are fat burning) and tested them on myself. After quite a long time of long and grueling training, my weight reached 53 kg. My life has changed dramatically, I am happy and even went to study to become a fitness instructor, but I don’t think my story will end there.

Because of excess weight, Natalya was admitted to the hospital for safekeeping, having diagnosed pathologies: preclampsia and gestosis. Fortunately, the girl was born healthy, but with a critically low weight.
During her entire pregnancy, Ilya Sobolev’s wife Natalya gained more than 30 kilograms. Returning home, the young mother expected that the weight would also begin to disappear rapidly, but everything turned out differently. At first Soboleva could not pick up proper diet, physical exercise, because breast milk could disappear.
When the reflection in the mirror began to really upset the girl, she began to fear that Ilya would leave the family. Then Natalya decided that it was time for her to act actively.
Drastic changes
Soboleva bought a subscription to gym, every morning, before Ilya left for work, she ran to training. In addition, the girl purchased roller skates, which she rode on during walks with her daughter Sofia. Natalya added massage and Charcot's shower to her intense training. Ilya remained the main motivator, supporting his wife in her desire to return to her previous forms.
For a year and a half, Sobolev’s wife did strength training six times a week., which I independently selected by watching videos on YouTube. In the same way, she selected the optimal nutrition plan for herself. And only with the help of grueling training, thanks to enormous power Will, she managed to lose 30 kg.
