Ilshat Shabaev first took up dancing on the initiative of his mother, who believed that by sending her son to dance at the age of 4, he could become a more hardworking, calm, and self-confident person in the future. Of course, dancing also contributed to the guy’s health.

It didn’t take long before Ilshat fell in love with dancing. Then he attended lessons in the men's dance group “Tap” under the direction of V.Ya. Bykova.

At the end high school Ilshat enters the College of Culture in Orenburg. After completing the course of study, without hesitation, Ilshat goes to the capital.

Having entered the Moscow State Institute of Cinematography, he became a regular participant in various master classes, where he learned new techniques and developed in old ones.

Looking at the talented dancer, some choreographers from the United States made him an offer to work abroad together, but Ilshat chose to stay in his homeland.

After completing his studies at the institute, the guy tries himself in castings for one of the most famous dance groups in the country. He manages to qualify for the ensemble of Igor Moiseev. For a year he danced as part of the legendary group. At the same time he attended A. Shishkin’s school.

When he realized that his skill had become more solid, he decided to try himself in the capital’s musicals. Thus, he danced in “Notre-Dame de Paris”, “Love and Espionage”, “I Am Edmond Dantes”, where pop stars shone. In addition, he worked with S. Lazarev, Irakli, Alsou, V. Topalov, etc. He went on tours with him in other countries.

Since 2006, he performed as part of the show ballet of the Israeli singer Rita, after which he was expected to work in China.

In fact, the list of his work in musicals only became wider: “Chicago”, “Once Upon a Time in Odessa”, “Cats” and “Bombay Dreams”.

He also appeared on silver screens when he took part in the dance show in Russia “Dance Floor Star”, entered the 80 most powerful dancers in the country.

He won and won a car and a tour to Los Angeles, studied with the legend of world choreography Wade Robson himself. Became a teacher at the Mainstream dance school in Moscow.

He took part in the new season of “Dancing. Battle of the Seasons,” left the project at the 6th concert. Viewer support has dropped noticeably compared to season 1.

Hello, Ilshat! Tell us, what is life like after “Dancing on TNT”?
- Very interesting: it’s seething and there’s practically no time to rest. This whole year was spent working and traveling: planes, trains, buses, cities, master classes, concerts, sleepless nights, and, most importantly, emotions. The emotions that the audience gives us when they come to our concerts. Endless energy that inspires us, and it’s incredibly nice. Thanks to everyone who comes to our concerts and master classes, to everyone who is inspired by us and starts dancing.

- Did you expect your life to change so much after the project?
- No! I definitely didn’t expect this when I went to the casting. I never thought that the project would become so popular. None of us expected this.

- Are you following the second season of the show “DANCE” and do you have any favorites?
- I’m keeping an eye on it, but I haven’t identified a clear favorite yet. I carefully watch all the participants, everything that happens. The DANCE project is a competition where participants are given choreography of various dance styles that they have not encountered before. And when you see that a professional dancer of one direction is faced with choreography that is not close to him - it’s obvious, but someone copes to a greater extent, someone in less. Therefore, there are no clear favorites.

- Is it your long-time dream to open your own dance school?
- Everything happened spontaneously. This idea appeared immediately after the project.

- Many people wonder why the dance studio is called 7U8?
“A lot in my life is connected with these numbers. At the “DANCES” project I represented the city of Orenburg, and the city region “56”. It sounds like multiplying 7U8 = 56. Also, 7 and 8 are a dance count; before starting any choreography they say: “7-8.” The third reason, 78 is the year of my birth. 7th mine Favorite number, and on the 8th I was born. Well, I liked the very turn “7U8”.

- What are your plans for the future regarding the development of the dance studio?
- There are many plans. We want to collaborate with famous Russian choreographers such as Vova Gudym, Katya Serzhenko, Dasha Salei, Alexey Shalburov, Alexander Mogilev, and also invite foreign choreographers such as Chaz Buzan - I really like his choreography. We will hold a casting for teachers. We plan to open groups in new popular dance styles, as well as develop those trends that are already represented in our studio. We will also organize dance camps. We are planning to open children's groups. Of course, I would like to focus on “contempo” and develop it to the European level. I would like to create my own atmosphere in the studio, so that the guys enjoy spending time here, so that everyone discovers something new here. I am ready to share my experience, my creativity, and I myself would be happy to learn from many.

-You have a very busy schedule, but what about your personal life?
- The girl is still patient and understands. Distances, separations, we don’t see each other. It's very hard... you just have to endure this busy schedule. I think by spring it will become easier, there will be more free time for yourself, creative development and to your personal life. Starts in March new project"DANCE 2", we will tour cities. I hope everything will be much more harmonious with my personal life. I already want to stop, continue my vocal training, record new tracks, shoot new dance videos. I want to get more involved in hip-hop, popping, and dancehall.

First of all, I like wise girls. This quality, alas, is only given by nature. I am attracted to a calm and gentle character. I really appreciate it when a girl has big goals and desires. It is important for me to find a special connection with her that will make our relationship interesting. In addition, my girlfriend should be able to cook deliciously. Unfortunately, I am increasingly faced with the fact that many representatives of the fair sex do not know how to cook. But this is not so scary, because when a girl begins to live with a young man, she begins to learn culinary skills. The main thing is that she has the desire to do it, and the rest will follow. Well, I can finally add that most of all I am drawn to brunettes (laughs).

In general, we did not expect that love had already been found, but we had prepared a question. If you hadn’t suddenly met your soul mate, would you have agreed to try yourself in the “Bachelor” project?

To be honest, I never thought about it. I probably wouldn't be able to take part in similar show. And now I don't need it.

Ilshat Shabaev: biography

Ilshat was born on January 8, 1978. On this moment the dancer is thirty-nine years old.

His hometown- Orenburg. It was there that he moved with his parents when he was two years old.

His mother introduced him to dancing when the boy was four years old. He resisted as best he could and did not want to attend classes. But his mother bribed him with various sweets. The boy silently ate the cake and went to his next training session.

Ilshat Shabaev calls his dance teacher, under whose guidance he studied in a circle for several years, his mentor and guru. This man is Viktor Yakovlevich Bykov. It was he who was able to convince the boy to love dancing.

Ilshat, after graduating from school, goes into art. He enters the Orenburg College of Culture, and after graduating he moves to Moscow. In Moscow, he received a second education in dance at the university. In parallel with his studies, Ilshat attended various master classes of experienced dancers, including foreign ones. He was even invited to the States to develop his talent, but Shabaev is a patriot. He refused, preferring his homeland.

Dancer career

Naturally, after a person receives two degrees in one specialty, he is eager to get a job in that particular profession. Ilshat Shabaev did the same. He went through various castings, tough selections, and once achieved a place in dance group Moiseev Igor.

But while working, Ilshat did not stop learning, he attended classes modern dance, which were conducted by Shishkin Alexander.

Ilshat not only danced, he also worked as an actor in musicals, where he even had to sing. When the casting for the legendary production of Notre-Dame de Paris began, Ilshat decided to participate in this musical at all costs. The selection lasted a whole year, but Shabaev successfully passed all stages. As a result, he was accepted into the troupe.

Later, Ilshat Shabaev decided to take up training. He became a sought-after choreographer. Many stars built their choreographic performances with his help. Ilshat was invited to work in Israel and China. He did not refuse these offers, he took part in foreign productions, but each time he returned home to Russia.

Ilshat held a competition in which more than three thousand people took part. Only eighty people were selected for the battle of dancers, but Ilshat Shabaev beat them all.

Tours and master classes

When Ilshat took another victory in "Dancing", it was decided to organize a large tour with all the participants in the show. This group toured fifteen concerts Russian cities. Tickets for the show were simply flying out, many dreamed of seeing their favorite artists with their own eyes.

Biography

Born in the village of Komsomolsky, Aleksandrovsky district, Orenburg region. When Ilshat was 2 years old, his family moved to Orenburg. Started dancing at early childhood, from the age of four. Like many children, Ilshat did not immediately like dancing, and at first his mother had to introduce a system of rewarding the young dancer with confectionery for attending training.

For several years Ilshat danced in the boy's children's team“Tap dancing” under the direction of Viktor Yakovlevich Bykov, whom he calls his main teacher and mentor in the world of dance.

After graduating from school, Ilshat Shabaev entered the Orenburg College of Culture. During his studies he developed in different dance styles, worked on physical fitness.

At the age of 18 he moved to Moscow and entered the (now Moscow State Institute of Cinematography). At the same time, he attends master classes foreign stars and famous Russian dancers, honing their technique. Ilshat received offers to move to the USA to work and develop his talent, but he refused, preferring to work in his homeland.

After this, Shabaev again actively works in musicals. In 2012, he played in two productions, directed by Yegor Druzhinin. It's about about the musicals “Love and Espionage” (based on the play “Eyes of the Day” by E. Gremina) with Larisa Dolina and Dmitry Kharatyan in the leading roles and “I am Edmond Dantes” (based on the novel by A. Dumas “The Count of Monte Cristo”), in in which the main roles were played by Dmitry Pevtsov and Natalia Vlasova.

More than 280 dancers from 77 Russian cities took part in this television project. Casting began in April 2014. The main prizes of the TV show - title best dancer countries and 3 million rubles.

At a television casting in Moscow, Ilshat presented to the jury a dance in the style of modern choreography to the Lana Del Rey track “Young & Beautiful,” which amazed the judges. Ilshat’s mentor was the choreographer, director and actor Yegor Druzhinin.

During 10 competitions, Ilshat danced 10 dances in a duet and one solo.

Once during the project, in issue 15, based on the results audience voting Ilshat was nominated for elimination and could leave dance show. But in the end, out of two dancers - Dmitry Oleinikov and Ilshat - team coach Egor Druzhinin chose Ilshat and gave him a chance to further develop in “Dancing”. “In any case, the nomination is a shake-up. A huge motivator. Regardless of my experience, I still have a lot to work on... And on the project I understand this every time I defeat myself in something. When the concert ended, a reboot began for me, a rethinking of everything. I must no longer become limp and give up. We have already seen how the strongest dancers Arseny, Pena, Misha Evgrafov leave the project. And then for everyone the harsh reality is emptiness, no matter how you look at it. After all, for each of us, a project is life. And here we stand: me and Dima Oleinikov. For Yegor Druzhinin, Dima, I think, is the best dancer in the team and the best student, a brilliant plasticine who can dance everything, dance beautifully and with the right emotional mood. Dima, like each of us, really wanted to reach the final and win and, at a minimum, dance solo to show himself. I know how hard it is. When Egor put forward his verdict, I, realizing that I was moving on, felt what Dima was experiencing, which is why there was no joy or emotion on my face. There was inner despair and pain. I am grateful to Egor for giving me a chance to further prove myself in the project! And I ask him for forgiveness for this look, which many believe was arrogant and indifferent. The camera magnifies everything, and sometimes from the outside everything seems different than what is inside a person. I know that together with you I am ready for great achievements!”

IN next three episodes, viewers chose Ilshat as the best dancer of the week from Yegor Druzhinin’s team.

On December 31, 2014, the final of the “Dancing” show took place on the TNT channel. The winner was determined by the audience by voting. Ilshat became the best dancer in the country, second place was taken by Vitaly Savchenko, third by Adam, fourth by Alisa Dotsenko.

Tour

After the completion of the project, Ilshat, along with other main participants in the first season of “Dancing,” took part in a spring-summer tour called “The First Club Concert.” As part of the tour, the dancers gave concerts in 15 cities of Russia. The show took place in Moscow on March 20, 2015; the dancers traveled to other cities on May 22, giving concerts almost every day.

At the concerts, the dancers performed numbers already known to the audience on television, but with some adjustments. So, for example, Ilshat performed a solo dance by Krump, who danced with Alexander Volkov on the project, a dance in the Contemporary style to the composition “Romance” by the group Splin with Ilshat, instead of Alena Gumennaya, was performed by Snezhana Kryukova, and Victoria Mikhailets was replaced in the dance by Pena.

In the autumn-winter of 2015, a second larger-scale tour took place in 3D format called “ Big concert". It covered about 65 cities, both Russia and Europe.
