Natural detergents for washing. My favorite products for washing, washing and cleaning the apartment

A well-cleaned home is a healthy home. By cleaning it and making it clean, you can free your home from many microorganisms and allergens. To achieve the maximum level of cleanliness, you can acquire numerous detergent or cleaning compositions that differ in their specific formula. In practice, household cleaning products usually have the same composition, so a universal product for cleaning and washing various surfaces will replace about 6 specialized products. It is important to choose not only an effective, but also a safe Eco-product for cleaning an apartment or house.

Few people realize how harmful cleaning chemicals are, because the manufacturer is often not required to provide such information. Cleaning products contain potent toxic substances that have a detrimental effect not only on human health, but also on the environment. Using harmful cleaning products can lead to the following consequences:

  • irritation to eyes, nasopharynx, or throat;
  • Headache;
  • Malaise;
  • Lethargy;
  • Nausea,
  • Chronic fatigue syndrome.

Phosphates contained in washing powders provoke the proliferation of a certain type of algae. After draining such liquid into the soil or water bodies, you can observe a change in the color of the water, an unpleasant odor, or widespread death of inhabitants of the aquatic environment.

The effect of cleaning product components on the body

2 Window cleanersNitrogen compounds with hydrogenDeadly if ingested.
3 Air freshenersFlavorsNausea, asthmatic spasms, frequent mood swings, lethargy, fatigue, irritability, depression, forgetfulness, dermatosis.

To reduce or eliminate the effect of such substances on the human body, it is better to switch to the use of organic ECO products. Safe cleaning products can be divided into eco-friendly and organic. These products are distinguished by their natural ingredients, hypoallergenicity, and the absence of phosphates.

Choosing ECO cleaning and cleanliness products is a sign of concern for the health of your household and the state of the environment!

I won’t be mistaken if I say that every housewife has her own favorite and proven means for washing, cleaning, washing dishes, washing windows and other household needs. I am a conservative by nature, but I don’t refuse new household chemicals. There are, of course, products that have been tested over the years, which I will not and do not want to change (although I also came to them through trial and error), and there are those that I would gladly change even tomorrow. Let's figure it out: which products really deserve attention, and which ones are better not to buy or throw away.

Dishwashing detergents

Let's start with manual dishwashing detergents. What I hate doing around the house the most is washing the dishes. For me this is daily torture. As a child, I dreamed of having a special machine, like a washing machine, so that I could wash dishes. And my dream came true: they came up with a dishwasher. The opportunity to acquire this most valuable miracle of technology did not arise immediately. So let's go back to washing dishes by hand.

  • AOS antibacterial - the most effective dishwashing detergent.
  • Frosch lemon or pomegranate (balm) is the best natural dishwashing detergent.
  • Fairy – the best remedy against fat.
  • Organic People Ecogel – organic dishwashing gel of fairly high quality.
  • Eared nanny – the best detergent for washing children’s dishes, based on my personal experience (I’ve tried quite a few of them).
  • Sorti – the best inexpensive and accessible product on the market.
  • BioMio with cotton extract – a good odorless dishwashing detergent.

As for my choice: I give my preference to Fairy for all tableware, except for children's dishes. And I wash children's dishes with a product from the Ushasty Nyan brand.

The choice of dishwasher detergents is not so huge. But there is also plenty to choose from.

Dishwasher detergents come in different types and consistencies:

  • Powder

Economical and perhaps the most popular type of detergent. The only disadvantage is that when falling asleep in the compartment, you can accidentally inhale microparticles of the product, which is extremely undesirable and can harm your health. I consider the talk that when using dishwashing powder you can scratch it (the dishes) to be fiction and nonsense. I have not heard from anyone confirming this assumption. I have been using the powder product for more than three years - all the dishes are in perfect order.

  • Gel

Considered safer and more convenient than powder. It contains no abrasives. The gel softens water better, does not oxidize silver and is suitable for washing porcelain dishes.

  • Pills

Not suitable for all dishwasher models. On short cycles it does not have time to dissolve completely. From personal experience I can say that tablets are the worst for washing dishes. I don't recommend using them. In addition, they are more expensive compared to powder. And consumption: 1 tablet per wash cycle. Expensive and ineffective!

Among the manufacturing companies, I prefer Finish. I usually buy powder and rinse aid (with scent) from this company. I tried products from other companies, but the price was high and the effectiveness was low. And here everything fits perfectly.

  • Washing powders and fabric softeners

The choice of washing powders is so huge that you can easily get confused. The same applies to fabric softeners. I tried a lot of powders from different companies. And I chose several manufacturers for my family. For children's clothing: “Eared nannies for sensitive skin” or “Sodasan comfort-sensitive children's hypoallergenic.”

There are several more manufacturers of children's washing powder that definitely deserve attention:

  • Tobbi Kids
  • Our Mom children's soap BIO
  • Baby line concentrated for children based on natural soap

All of the above brands of washing powder are made on the basis of natural soap. And they are considered the safest to use. But they have one significant, as it seems to me, drawback: They are very poor at washing heavily soiled laundry and old stains. . And for children's clothing this is a very necessary property. Therefore, I am skeptical about the conclusions of experts that the “Eared Nanny” powder is very harmful; I simply rinse my children’s clothes not two or three, but six to eight times.

Regarding laundry detergent for adult clothes , then everything here is also very simple: after trying powders from various manufacturers, comparing quality, efficiency and cost, I chose, you won’t believe it, “Eared Nanny”. I am completely satisfied with the washing result. For me, an indicator of the effectiveness and quality of the powder is the result of washing kitchen towels, which are usually very difficult to wash without soaking and stain removers. Everything is fine with this powder. I am pleased.

If I had to choose another manufacturer, I would choose Ariel or Persil. I used to use Ariel and everything was fine, but lately it has been a little overpriced. But the quality of washing with Ariel powder is beyond praise, unlike Tide, which washes simply terribly.

A few words about washing gels . Regardless of the manufacturer, I think that using them is neither practical nor effective. Firstly, they are not cheap. Secondly, there is a very high consumption when washing. Well, the most important argument: heavily soiled laundry and old stains are washed very poorly.

In choosing fabric softener – I am old-fashioned and consistently prefer “Lenor”. This brand has a very large selection of scents to suit every taste. Therefore, my experiments with air conditioner are limited to changing the smell, but not the brand.

Advice : If you use a particular brand of conditioner that you are completely satisfied with, don’t take the risk and choose something else. Just choose a different scent!

House cleaning products

You will be surprised, but I do not use special chemicals to clean the apartment, which is what I wish for you.

Some important tips from my personal practice for cleaning an apartment:

  1. Dusting is very easy and effective using old woolen socks or a sweater. . The secret is that when rubbed, the wool becomes electrified and attracts dust.
  2. You can clean the sewer without buying toxic products in the store, but using boiling water and soda with vinegar . For example, every day at the end of the day I pour a small pan of boiling water down the drain. You can pour in half a glass of soda, and after 5 minutes pour in 100 ml of vinegar. Then rinse with strong pressure of cold water.
  3. To clean windows I use water and ammonia. . Dilute 50 ml of ammonia in 5 liters of water and wash the windows. After washing, rub the glass with newspaper. The result will pleasantly surprise you.
  4. The best way to clean a toilet is with vinegar. . Pour half a glass of vinegar into the toilet, then spray another half glass on the walls, sprinkle baking soda on top. After 15-20 minutes, scrub the contaminated areas with a brush, sprinkling with soda if necessary. For prevention, pour a glass of vinegar into the toilet once a month at night. This will prevent dark rings from appearing and dissolve salt deposits. Tested - it works!
  5. The safest way to clean the floor is with simple cleaning products. . For laminate flooring I use the following solution: for 1 liter of water – ¼ cup of vinegar. It is enough to wash the linoleum with hot water adding a small amount of dishwashing detergent.
  6. You can easily clean carpets without special shampoos. . You just need to sprinkle starch or baking soda on the carpet and then just vacuum them thoroughly. Baking soda will not only remove dirt, but also eliminate unpleasant odors, if any.

You should know it!

Naturally, we cannot do without household chemicals completely. But there are elements whose content in detergents or cosmetics can greatly harm health and pose a real danger. Especially children and pregnant women. Review the ingredients in all the products in your home and if you see any of the following items, throw them away immediately and never use them again. .

Harmful chemicals:

  • BBP - butyl phenyl phthalate, SodiumLaurylSulfate - sodium lauryl sulfate . Often used in perfumes and cosmetics. Particularly dangerous for children!!!
  • Sodium fluoride or fluoride . The most common use is in toothpastes. Children should absolutely not use toothpaste containing this component!
  • Triclosan – triclosanchlorophenol . Included in shaving cream, toothpastes, antibacterial soaps and many detergents. Destroys both harmful and beneficial bacteria.
  • Formaldehyde is very dangerous . Corrodes mucous membranes and affects the respiratory tract. Very dangerous. If used frequently, it can lead to asthma and cancer.
  • LauramideDea – loramideDea . Used in the production of dishwashing detergents. It has an extremely negative effect on the condition of hair and skin, can cause itching, allergic reactions, and anaphylactic shock.

And a few more words from myself. Avoid using concentrated detergents . I don’t know about you, but I personally don’t believe that a drop of a product that can clean half an apartment or wash a mountain of laundry can be safe. What amount of chemicals needs to be crammed into this drop so that it can wash, clean and wash much more than a “more harmful” non-concentrated product. And will you believe this advertising nonsense? Me not.

They do not buy furniture that can emit formaldehyde, do not use lead-containing paint during renovations, and often ventilate the room, knowing that plastic windows do not allow air to pass through.

Supporters of a healthy lifestyle exclude semi-finished and processed foods from their diet, try not to drink carbonated drinks, use organic cosmetics and lead an active lifestyle.

However, quite a few people still know that household chemicals can also be dangerous to our health. When we wash, wash and clean, products end up on mucous membranes, on the skin, in the respiratory tract, in the air and wastewater. To protect yourself from harmful substances, choose safe washing and cleaning products. Here are the basic rules that help me make the right choice.

Black list

Independent health project Environmental Working Group has developed instructions that help you choose safe household chemicals
They have compiled a list of substances that should not be in your products:

Triclosan (triclosan/triclosanum). At the moment, its antibacterial properties have not been scientifically confirmed, but the harm to health has been proven. In the United States, there is a ban on products containing triclosan.

Fragrances of unknown origin, which can often cause allergic reactions.

Dishwashing liquid from the brand Sodasan

Dishwashing liquid from the brand Attitude

Bathroom, toilet and pipe care

In a warm and humid environment, bacteria and fungi develop very actively, so regular cleaning is essential. At the same time, blockages, limescale and foreign odors complicate matters so much that we are accustomed to buying the most nuclear cleaning products. However, you can and should do without them.

Firstly, Avoid all products labeled “antibacterial”, since almost all of them contain the banned substance triclosan. You should also avoid air fresheners with strong fragrances, because manufacturers often use very harmful substances. Essential oils, which can be bought at the pharmacy, can easily cope with the task of a freshener. They not only scent the space, but also have natural antibacterial properties.

Universal cleaning products

(most problems can be solved using kitchen cleaning products):

An all-in-one organic grease and brand stain remover Fit Organic will help cope with limescale.

Cleanser in the form of a cream from the brand Ecodoo will remove soap scum on ceramics.

Organic disinfectant from the brand Pure Water

For cleaning the toilet, gel “Pine” from the brand is suitable Etamine

Plumbing and toilet cleaner from the brand Klar

How to clean pipes

Detergents for removing blockages are considered one of the most dangerous among household chemicals. The aggressive substances contained in them can cause burns and damage pipes. Instead of household chemicals, use a plunger or a special plumbing cable. Then the pipes will last longer, and you will not risk your health.

Detergents

When choosing laundry detergents, avoid those that contain phosphates and phosphonates. They harm not only us. Substances end up in wastewater and cause environmental damage. At the same time, safe products also wash well.

Detergents:

Organic washing gel from the brand Fit Organic

Universal washing powder ALMAWIN

Oxygen bleach from the brand ALMAWIN

Organic products are made from raw materials grown without the use of chemical fertilizers, they are not tested on animals and do not contain harmful components (petroleum products, chlorine, parabens, etc.). In addition, organic products often have eco-certificates (ECOCERT, ICEA EcoLogo, BDHI, etc.). The most important condition is complete biodegradability. Today we decided to raise a topic that everyone encounters all the time, but quite possibly does not pay attention to it. We will talk about ecology in your apartment or house.

For some reason, everyone is accustomed to talking about the ecology of the Planet, but for some reason the vast majority of people forget about the ecology in their own homes, where they spend their lives, where they sleep and relax. Although, if you look at it, this topic is extremely important and it is worth paying close attention to, since the well-being and physical health of you and your family directly depends on the ecology in your home. In addition, by using environmentally friendly and natural products for washing, washing dishes and cleaning the house, you stop polluting the earth, water and air with chemical compounds and their packaging, which leads to preserving the ecology of our Planet.

Below are videos about modern household chemicals, what they consist of and how they affect your health. Watch, if you haven’t already, 3 films “Habitat - Household Chemicals”:

10 tips for eco-living. Replacing household chemicals:

1. Few people know that you can wash dishes with mustard! Mustard can be used to remove grease from dishes. This is absolutely safe for health, unlike detergents, the residues of which remain on the dishes. Plus, it is environmentally friendly for our planet, since soapy water does not go to waste...

You can buy mustard powder at the market or in a store, sprinkle it on a plate (on fatty places), sprinkle water (a few drops), spread the powder, and wash it off. At the same time, the resulting water not only does not harm the Earth and your health, but can also be used as a fertilizer and as a remedy for plant pests.

Mustard powder is used as an excellent environmentally friendly product for washing and cleaning dishes, removing greasy stains, and washing wool and silk items.

It is also an excellent means of eliminating garden pests. Mustard powder has bactericidal properties; it has a disinfectant effect on the causative agents of certain plant diseases.

2. A universal cleaning product for the entire house - a mixture of half and half water with vinegar plus a few drops of lavender oil.

3. To wash windows, dilute vinegar and water 1:5, apply to glass and wipe with newspaper or soft cloth. Vinegar can be replaced with lemon juice.

5. You can bleach fabric like this: add 2 tablespoons per 10 liters of water. spoons of hydrogen peroxide and 1 table. a spoonful of ammonia.

6. Baking soda is an oven cleaner. To remove grease, leave a quarter cup of ammonia in the oven overnight and scrub with baking soda the next morning. Cleaning a still warm stove with salt is also effective.

7. Use salt to clean sewer pipes. It needs to be poured into the pipe and washed off with boiling water.

8. Glass can be polished with ammonia and soap.

9. And mirrors with a mixture of vinegar and water in equal proportions.

10. Cornstarch works surprisingly well for cleaning carpets. You need to scatter it and then vacuum the surface.

RECIPES OF NATURAL AND ECOLOGICAL SOAP

SOAP FROM ASH.

How we were all fooled by slipping chemicals 50 years ago instead of real soap, which we have been washing with since time immemorial. Soap made from ash perfectly and instantly washes the skin and hair; washing with it is a pleasure - a feeling of extraordinary cleanliness and freshness.

Ash soap is made like this: half a pan is collected from the stove. Add water almost to the top and boil for 30 minutes. The broth is filtered, the remaining ash is thrown into the garden. The resulting almost transparent gel is ash soap - it has cooled down and is ready for use.

It is clear why our ancestors did not have problems with hair until they were very old, but there is not a single mention of dandruff in the chronicles.

We must break out of the ambush of scientific absurdity forward into the freedom of an almost forgotten natural, clean and healthy life, created so wisely that improving it only spoils it. Step by step, breakthrough by breakthrough, correction by correction.
WASHING SOAP – WE COOK YOURSELF.

The best household chemical is laundry soap; it can wash, if not everything, then almost everything. To make 1 kg of soap, you need 450 g of coconut oil and 200 g of sunflower oil, as well as 250 g of water, 110 g of NaOH alkali (you can buy it in household chemical stores or on the Internet) and 20 g of regular salt. All this is mixed in a water bath, brought to a boil and poured into molds.
This soap turns out to be soft and white, and not yellow-brown like
store-bought, but it washes even better (due to the salt and alkali in the composition). And it also does not cause allergies.

SOAP CAN ALSO BE REPLACED WITH PLANTS:

1. Soapwort, or officinalis, is especially good as soap. This is a tall plant - from 50 cm to a meter, white or pink flowers are collected in bunches of 5-7 pieces. Lives in forests, meadows, along roads, on the banks of rivers and lakes. Dig up the soapwort roots, wash them and try them instead of soap: a lush foam is formed that easily washes away dirt.

Soapwort roots can be prepared for use: they are dried, ground into powder, and then diluted with water and washed in this solution. After such washing, things acquire a pleasant smell and moths do not appear in them.

2. The fruits of HORSE CHESTNUT can be used to wash your hands and feet; they wash stains on clothes well.

3. RED ELDERBERRIES remove any dirt from clothes without a trace.

4. The inner part of the MUSHROOM-SPANDER has the same properties.

5. In the forest you can still find one amazing plant - Bracken. Its rhizomes contain a lot of potassium, they lather well and are absolutely harmless. In Rus', bracken has long been used instead of soap.

ECOLOGICAL WASHING: ALTERNATIVE METHODS OF WASHING WITHOUT WASHING POWDER.

Washing without chemicals is possible!

Attention! Recipes are indicated that are also suitable for machine washing.

The question “what to replace washing powder with” is faced by conscious housewives more and more often. After all, no matter how much modern laundry detergents are advertised, phosphates, synthesized surfactants, optical brighteners and other overly active components of washing powder haunt you. I don’t want to experience the negative effects of these products on myself. Below you will find information and useful tips on how to wash and bleach clothes using safe natural products.

Mustard is a universal remedy. You can wash dishes and hair with it. You can wash silk and woolen items in mustard. Take 15 grams of mustard for 1 liter of water, stir well, leave for 2 - 3 hours. Then drain the liquid without sediment into a bowl of hot water. Pour hot water over the mustard remaining in the sediment, wait until it settles and drain the top again. Wash items 1 time (if heavily soiled - 2 times, each time pouring fresh “mustard” liquid). Then rinse thoroughly in clean water. During the last rinse, add a teaspoon of ammonia per 1 liter of water for woolen items, and 1 tbsp for silk. a spoonful of vinegar per 1 liter of water.

As a washing powder for an automatic machine:
About 50 grams per machine, everything washes perfectly, and after washing the clothes smell of freshness and not of washing powder. It needs to be poured into the “machine” (just not into the ditch, but directly into the laundry); the temperature should not be raised above 40 (the mustard is brewed). In case of heavy contamination, first apply mustard paste to the stains and then into the car.

Mustard does not take cotton.

Another method for woolen items: dilute mustard powder in warm water, soak the items and wash them after half an hour. You can wash them right away if they are not very dirty.

It is recommended to wash woolen and silk items with greasy stains in mustard infusion. At the same time, the fabric shrinks and sheds less than when washing with detergents. First, dry mustard (1 cup) is soaked in a small amount of water and ground until a liquid dough is obtained. It is rubbed through gauze into warm (40-45 C) water (10 liters) and allowed to brew for 2-3 hours. Wash without soap or detergents; The mustard infusion is changed 2-3 times.

SODA ASH

In general, different compositions are needed for washing different fabrics. Acidic and neutral environments are favorable for washing products made from animal fibers (wool, silk), alkaline environments are favorable for washing products made from plant fibers (cotton, linen); moderately alkaline environment - for washing fabrics made from artificial and synthetic fibers.

Therefore, products made from cotton and linen fibers can be washed with soda ash (these are alkaline salts). It washes perfectly, even thick linen sheets - they become snow-white! Especially in a washing machine (automatic). But the washing temperature must be 50-70° C.

But this is completely unsuitable for wool and silk fabrics - they become hard, brittle and quickly break down.

SALT

Surprisingly, table salt also washes things very well, especially calico and linen (both colored and white). Moreover, after washing, colored items do not lose their brightness at all, even after a large number of washes.

To wash with salt, items need to be placed in a basin and filled with water using a measuring cup (you need to accurately measure how many liters of water you pour in). Then thoroughly wring out the items and set them aside, and dilute salt in the water that remains in the basin (1 heaped tablespoon per 1 liter). After the salt has dissolved, put the items back and leave them soaked for an hour. After this time, we wring out and rinse the items. This option is suitable for lightly soiled clothes and will not help remove stains, even simple ones. But as you know, most summer clothes made of linen and chintz very quickly lose their attractive appearance due to frequent washing. And the method of washing with salt will help preserve the color of the fabric and its structure. Not to mention the savings on washing powder and respect for the environment.

SOAP ROOT (Soapwort)

It is good to wash silk and woolen items in a solution of soap root. You can buy it at a homeopathic pharmacy or at the market.

For 1 kg of dry things you need to take 50 grams of soap root, split it into small pieces, pour in 0.5 liters of boiling water and leave for a day. During these days, the solution must be stirred several times.

After 24 hours, the mixture should be boiled for an hour over low heat, removed, allowed to settle, and strained through cheesecloth. Pour boiling water over the remaining root on the gauze and leave for several hours. This way we will get another soap solution, albeit less concentrated, but still quite suitable for washing.

Pour the resulting soap into a bowl of warm water, whip up a fluffy foam, divide into 2 portions and wash the items 2 times (if the items are slightly soiled, once is enough). Then rinse with clean water at room temperature (to rinse white woolen fabric, add 2 teaspoons of ammonia to the last rinse).
The soap root solution must be used immediately. You cannot store it - it quickly deteriorates.

HORSE CHESTNUT

Another universal remedy for everything. One of its directions is natural washing.

These are really ordinary chestnuts, of which there are plenty everywhere. You need to collect the nuts, remove the brown peel (because it colors things!), dry the white kernel, grind it into flour (grind it in a coffee grinder). The powder is ready. When it’s time to wash, pour it into a basin and fill it with hot water. The foam is obtained like from ordinary washing powder. You can wash it directly with this water, both manually and in a machine. When washing by hand, to achieve the best result, you need to soak the clothes in this “chestnut” water for an hour (or better yet, longer), and then wash them here and rinse them in clean water.

Washing with BEANS is a somewhat unusual method, but for woolen items it’s just right. Woolen fabrics wash wonderfully in bean broth.
To prepare it, you need to take 200 grams of beans in 1 liter of water and cook in a sealed container until tender. After cooking, strain the broth through clean gauze, pour into a bowl of hot water, and whip up the foam. After washing things, you need to rinse them well several times in warm water, adding vinegar during the last rinse (1 tablespoon per 1 liter of water).

SOAP NUTS are the fruits of a plant that grows in the warm climate of eastern countries: India, Nepal, Pakistan. To wash 5 kg of laundry, 6-8 soap nut shells are enough, which are placed in a canvas bag (usually sold together with nuts) and placed in the drum of a washing machine or in a basin of hot water. You can use these shells repeatedly until they lose their bright color and stop releasing soapy water when soaked. If you wash at temperatures below 60 degrees, you can use a soap nut infusion. To obtain an infusion, you need to pour boiling water over 3-5 shells and let it brew, then, when the water has cooled, squeeze the nuts into the water and pour the resulting solution (without nuts) into a washing machine or into a basin with laundry.

You can use soap nuts to wash any fabric at any temperature. Soap nuts give things a soft feel. Since the product is completely natural and plant-based, the laundry has no odor after washing. Soap nuts perfectly dissolve fat and have bactericidal properties.
There are natural BLEACHERS that give laundry a snow-white appearance and can remove stubborn stains and dirt.

You can use ash for washing, as long as it is of plant origin. Try to avoid getting various chemical residues into the ash, for example, from various bags that do not burn, but melt. These can also be very bright modern wrapping materials, during the combustion of which various toxic odors and copious soot are released.

For those who have a house with a stove, the following method will do.

White clothes are washed with ash from burning wood. You wrap it in gauze, in several layers, tie this bag, place it in the laundry bin, which is on the stove. While the stove is heated (from an hour or more), the whole thing is boiling slowly. Then you wash the laundry lightly, take it out, caress it, hang it out in the summer, and in the winter you can put it in the snow (not in the city). Sun in summer and frost in winter complete the whole process. No powder can do this. The linen sparkles clean and smells fresh!

If you need to wash a few things, put a cotton cloth on top of the bucket, take the ash from the oven, pour it on this cloth and carefully pour boiling water into the bucket. After some time, the ash releases alkali into the water, all that remains is to remove the cloth with the ash and wash things in this water. Then rinse.

Lye ash: White ash from burnt wood is soaked in water. The alkali passes from the ashes into the water. After this, the ashes are used as a harmless (alkali-free) fertilizer in the ground. And use water for washing (this is how our ancestors did laundry).

Here is another washing recipe: place birch ash in a container, add water and leave until the water becomes soapy, then pour the water into another container so that the ash does not get in, you can strain through a fine sieve and boil the laundry in this water. Previously, this was the only way to wash it, it whitens very well. The ash of deciduous trees, especially aspen, is well suited for washing.

LAUNDRY SOAP

Laundry soap washes natural fabrics perfectly and at the same time significantly softens them (which is important, for example, for rompers or diapers).
Grated laundry soap + a teaspoon of baking soda washes well even in a machine.

For decades, our mothers and grandmothers washed with regular soap, and their clothes were still clean. The most suitable one is laundry soap. For washing you need to prepare the following solution: add 50 g of grated soap and 3 tbsp to a bucket of warm water. spoons of soda. Dark items with unstable colors are washed without adding soda.

LEMON JUICE and VINEGAR remove stains well. To do this, you need to soak the laundry in hot water, adding 3-4 tbsp. lemon juice or vinegar per 1 liter of water, for 15-20 minutes, then wash as usual. If the stains are on white clothes, you can apply lemon juice to the stain and leave it in the sun. Before washing, laundry should be rinsed thoroughly.

WHITENING

There are natural bleaches that give laundry a snow-white appearance and can remove stubborn stains and dirt.

One way to wash white laundry: boil two 7 liters of water in two containers. Dissolve several crystals of potassium permanganate in one container, 10 grams in another. laundry soap. Drain both solutions together and put 2-3 items overnight. Rinse in the morning. There are no stains and the linen is snow-white.

You can wash white linen with vegetable oil. Proportion: 100 grams of refined vegetable oil per 3 buckets of water. All this is stirred and white linen is laid for soaking. Then they rinse and that’s it. And those who have washing machines in their house simply spin it all through the machine, then rinse and dry.

You can bleach without chlorine. For 10 liters of hot water, you can add 2 tablespoons of hydrogen peroxide and 1 tablespoon of ammonia. This solution perfectly whitens any fabric.

White socks and knee socks wash better if they are pre-soaked for 1-2 hours in water to which 1-2 tablespoons of boric acid have been added. Boric acid whitens whites better than bleach.

White clay - kaolin - bleaches well; her grandmothers often mixed it with starch and washed white linen.

Blue clay bleaches cotton well!

Baking soda is also a bleaching agent.

ASH can also serve as a bleach; to do this, boil the laundry by adding a bag of ash. This creates a lye that you can use for further washing.

You can also prepare a bleaching SOLUTION: for 10 liters of water, take 2 tbsp. hydrogen peroxide and 1 tbsp. ammonia. This solution perfectly whitens any fabric.

Another recipe for eco-friendly washing powder:

The powder is based on grated soap and baking soda. It is recommended to pre-dry the soap by leaving it without paper or placing it on the radiator, then the soap will rub easily and finely. The volume of grated soap and the volume of soda are equal, that is, add a glass of soda to a glass of grated soap. This is the base of the powder and can be used in this form for washing. To enhance this, you can add a tablespoon of citric acid to this amount - this refreshes and softens the laundry and protects the washing machine from scale. You can also add a tablespoon of salt - this will fix the colors when washing colored items. In this form, the powder copes with ordinary dirt and fresh stains. If you need to wash something more difficult, add bleaches or powder enhancers to the recipe.
