What is the Professor Nicolas Show?

So, The Mad Professor Nichols Show is a science educational show that shows the basics of sciences such as physics and chemistry through fun and exciting demonstrations. The show program is intended for children from three to fifteen years old.

To date, more than forty thousand scientific shows have been held in different cities and countries - Crazy Professor Nicolas has become very popular thanks to the format in which the event takes place - it is called edutainment. This means that the show is performed simultaneously in three contexts:

• Educational (children are shown something new).
• Educational (kids learn new knowledge useful for their development).
• Game-based (learning takes place not at a desk, but during a fun game).

The Mad Professor Nicolas Show: Favorite Experiments

Amazing things are nearby! Exactly a year ago I met Crazy Professor V . And today Kolya invited me to his show, which he held at the Obidim boarding school near Tula.
Kolya and Olya (his assistant) presented a small but real holiday to the children and teachers who gathered in the school assembly hall.
They write about this often, but I’ll say it again: you rarely see such grateful eyes and such emotions as we saw today. All children, of course, enjoy the holidays. But children who are not spoiled by variety are doubly happy. Today they were happy. For that, thanks to Kolya and his team!
Thanks also to the school director Timur Nadarovich Tolordav, who decided to invite the Professor and make the children happy. Timur Nadarovich has been working in an orphanage for 19 years. I came to the Tula region from Abkhazia by assignment, and stayed there. The director talked a lot about the children, the life of the village and about himself. But I was struck to the core by one phrase: although I am an atheist, I believe in God!

As soon as we arrived in Obidimo and entered the hall, the guys began to prepare for the performance and collect props for experiments. Everything has been worked out. Therefore, literally in 15 minutes everything was ready. All that remains is to put on the “working clothes”.

In order to have time to prepare cotton wool for everyone (and there were about 80 people at today’s performance!), you have to work on two machines with four hands.

All children love to chemistry and experiment! This classic science show includes experiments with dry ice, where everything seethes, bubbles, rainbow glasses, experiments with polymers, musical experiments, children will create a whirlpool in a bottle with their own hands, be surprised by invisible ink, and also learn how to carry water in a sieve . And, of course, each of the show participants will take home with them a hand-made polymer worm!

Fire, earth, air and water - so many interesting experiments are dedicated to the four elements. The kids will see a real volcano, a hydrogen bomb explosion, a giant blower, learn how to control a water jellyfish, and make a bouncing ball with their own hands, which they will take home with them. That's great!

How can you place a balloon on a bed of nails without it bursting? Is it possible to draw using the heat of your hands or leave a bloody print on a piece of paper? How will the beads jump out of the jar on their own by inertia? How can you put out a candle from a distance of three meters and make a ball out of a pacifier, and is it possible to hypnotize the entire class? The guys will find answers to these and many other questions in the “Super Laboratory” show. And the preparation of polymer worms by each participant will be a worthy end to the program.

1 - Lava lamp

1. Surely many of you have seen a lamp with a liquid inside that imitates hot lava. Looks magical.

2. Water is poured into sunflower oil and food coloring (red or blue) is added.

3. After this, add effervescent aspirin to the vessel and observe an amazing effect.

4. During the reaction, the colored water rises and falls through the oil without mixing with it. And if you turn off the light and turn on the flashlight, the “real magic” will begin.

: “Water and oil have different densities, and they also have the property of not mixing, no matter how much we shake the bottle. When we add effervescent tablets inside the bottle, they dissolve in water and begin to release carbon dioxide and set the liquid in motion.”

2 - Soda experience

5. Surely there are several cans of soda at home or in a nearby store for the holiday. Before you drink them, ask the kids a question: “What happens if you immerse soda cans in water?”
Will they drown? Will they float? Depends on the soda.
Invite the children to guess in advance what will happen to a particular jar and conduct an experiment.

We continue to study the magical properties of water and surrounding objects. Ask someone present to pull the bandage and pour water through it. As we can see, it passes through the holes in the bandage without any difficulty.
Bet with those around you that you can make sure that water does not pass through the bandage without any additional techniques.

Professor Nicolas's comment: “Thanks to this property of water, surface tension, water molecules want to be together all the time and are not so easy to separate (they are such wonderful girlfriends!). And if the size of the holes is small (as in our case), then the film does not tear even under the weight of water!”

26. Fold the piece of paper and put it in the glass so that it rests against its walls and does not slide down. We immerse the leaf in an inverted glass to the bottom of the tank.

27. The paper remains dry - water cannot reach it! After you pull out the leaf, let the audience make sure that it is really dry.

Professor Nicolas's comment: “If you take a glass with a piece of paper inside and look at it carefully, it seems that there is nothing but paper, but this is not so, there is air in it.
When we turn the glass upside down and lower it into water, the air prevents the water from getting to the paper, which is why it remains dry.
