Sewing slide

The hill got its name in honor of the weavers (Shvets) who lived in this part of the city (on Tagansky Hill), so the tower with a vertical loom inside became the symbol of the place. Five looms with multi-colored threads fit into the five-pointed star base: on each side, you could create your own canvas with the help of a shuttle and an additional “right” rail. The image of the loom is emphasized by decorative threads stretched between the slats. photo Mitya Chebanenko

Ivanovskaya Gorka

The history of Ivanovskaya Gorka is connected with music. In 1837, the organ sounded here for the first time in cathedral Saints Peter and Paul. It was the image of the musical instrument that formed the basis of the installation. A series of vertical metal pipes of different scales - a giant organ - makes outlandish sounds: thanks to stereo effects, each cylinder personifies a certain musical instrument and creates its own acoustic environment. There is a xylophone, a harp, a bell, a metallophone, wind instruments, a music box, a disco trumpet, a speaking trumpet, and a silence trumpet. photo Mitya Chebanenko

Sretensky hill

Choosing from the important historical milestones of Pskovskaya Gorka - a large shopping area, a Jewish ghetto, an English courtyard - we settled on Soviet biography of this place: the construction of the 8th Stalin skyscraper was planned here, and then one of the largest hotels in the world, Rossiya, appeared on the foundation of an unfinished project. The landmark for the capital building was 250 meters long and 150 wide, and the height of the main block was 50 meters. The symbol of the Pskovskaya Gorka became a conditional "model" of the hotel on a scale of 1:10: a permeable wooden structure with a courtyard and high tower, which serves as a recreation area with hammocks and soft poufs. photo Mitya Chebanenko

Borovitsky Hill

The most prominent object gives a direct reference to the main Moscow sights standing on Borovitsky Hill: the red installation is built as a square behind an abstract fence resembling a forest or battlements. In the center there is a huge twelve-meter swing, which you can ride while standing. Photo by Mitya Chebanenko

Sparrow Hills

Reflections on Sparrow Hills refer to the construction and engineering achievements associated with the construction of the main building of Moscow State University, built in Soviet time. The cosmic scale of construction is demonstrated by a star on a spire, the size of which is 7.5 meters. It was this star that formed the basis of the installation: a tower of several tiers is formed by a seven-meter star, which is raised vertically several times with a turn. The resulting structure resembles the structure of DNA, referring to scientific activity University. Getting inside the object, you can see a real-sized star at the base of the tower, and when you raise your head, you can see its reduced copy. photo Mitya Chebanenko

Stretensky hill

Historically, Sretensky Hill was associated with water: there was a large drinking fountain. There was a large public samovar in the market nearby: tea drinking served as a rite to complete large transactions. Thus, a fountain made of interlacing colored pipes became a symbol of the place: illuminated water circulates throughout the object and is released with the help of taps into a reservoir, from which the pipes are then filled again. Since the townspeople bought food on Sretensky Hill, the proximity of the fountain to the park food court turned out to be very natural. photo Mitya Chebanenko

Passion Hill

Movement became an allegory of the hill on which Tverskaya Street originates: in 1820, the first stagecoaches went along Tverskaya, in 1872 the first horse-drawn tram was laid, which later turned into tram tracks, and in the 1930s, when the street was widened, several buildings were moved. The first film studio in the country was also located here. For the festival, all this has turned into a 25-metre-long journey: a platform with built-in rails allows you to move the seating boxes into the depths of the installation, which is completed by a projection with the perspective of Tverskaya Street. The backlight used in all objects here turned into artistic technique hinting at both the nature of cinema and street illumination. photo Mitya Chebanenko

Alas, this year the audience will not be able to enjoy the light show of the team of Russia and China. According to the organizers of the event, changes have been made this year, according to which the team that won first place at the previous fireworks festival will not be allowed to participate. In order to give other teams the opportunity to show all their skills in this art form, as well as to include teams from other countries wishing to take part in the players. And, since it was the Russian team that won the last year of fireworks and salutes in Maryino and Brateevo, its performance at the upcoming Rostec-2018 festival will not be seen by the audience. As for the team from China, the reasons are somewhat banal. Since the equipment for the show begins to be prepared at least six months in advance, they simply did not have time to physically prepare it and bring it to the festival site. And yet, as he said CEO company - the organizer of the festival "Pyrotechnic Technologies" Dolgov Oleg Anatolyevich, the presented teams will fully show their art, and the audience will be able to appreciate the European and American school holding such events.

The technical details of the performances will be monitored by a competent international-class jury. It included titled pyrotechnicians from Canada, Spain, USA, Romania, Portugal. The entertainment of the show will be assessed by the representatives of the amateur jury - composer and producer Igor Krutoy and film director Pavel Chukhrai. In addition, vote for best performance viewers can too. According to the results of SMS voting, the winner of the Audience Choice Award will be selected.

The main symbol of the festival was "Sunny Bunny". In 2018, the festival is dedicated to the theme of goodness and magic. Therefore, during the days of the festival, those who came to Brateevsky Park will be able not only to enjoy fire show but also to plunge into the atmosphere interactive museum under open sky with many art objects specially designed for this occasion by the artist and experimenter Andrey Bartenev. As the artist himself promises: “All presented art objects will be tactile, you can interact with each of them: hug, climb on it, take a picture.”

The Rostec Fireworks Festival is the largest international festival of pyrotechnic art, which takes place annually in the summer in Moscow. On August 18 and 19, leading pyrotechnicians from all over the world will gather in the Brateevsky Cascade Park to surprise the audience and compete for the title of the best.

A rich daily program is provided for guests: sports, creative activities, themed spaces, quests and games for the whole family, performance musical performers, food courts and much more! Don't miss the hottest event of the summer!

Day program in the park

Sports and creative activities, master classes, quests and games for the whole family, thematic zones, performances by musical performers and much more. In the Year of the Volunteer in Russia, the festival will become a territory of good deeds. In the park big the number of volunteer and charitable actions.

fireworks show

8 of the world's best teams are preparing pyrotechnic shows according to the competition task and compete with each other. Every day, four participating teams present their shows to the audience.

Most questions arise about the fireworks festival, which was held here for the third time.

And the most frequent questions: is it worth going to the festival and is it possible to see this beauty not from the park, but from somewhere nearby, that is, for free?

The questions, of course, are interesting, but my answers are not very unambiguous.

Of course, the spectacle is very beautiful, expensive and memorable. Therefore, most likely, I will answer: yes, this fireworks show is worth watching, especially when you live not very far away and you don’t have to drag yourself for three hours from the other end of Moscow or the region, and then push through the crowd and bypass the National Guard cordons. I mean that people (especially with kids) get very tired.

But I would advise you to buy a ticket to the park if:

1. There is an opportunity and means to get into the VIP zone in the stands. It is here that you can fully enjoy the beauty of the show and see not only the upper, but also the lower fireworks, lasers, fountains, and the reflection of these wonders in the water, and the sound design for the action.

2. But the holders of "Standard" tickets will have to look for seats.

However, I would recommend visitors to come early. Firstly, to be present at various festival activities (especially with children) and take pictures calmly without a crowd against the background of thematic festival objects (this year the theme of the show was "Magic and Goodness", and art objects - fabulous animals). Secondly, in order not to miss the concert of the declared group.

Thirdly, in order to spot and stake out more convenient places: subjectively, there are more people every year, trees and shrubs are getting higher and more magnificent, therefore, the view from some places is worse. Just keep in mind that you should take some food with you (you can’t stock up - they won’t let you in), because everything is expensive at the festival.

If you are driving from a distance directly to the fireworks scheduled for 9 pm, you should not expect that you will pass the control in seconds (there will be many such latecomers). Also, don't think that in a "nowhere to fall" state, the ranks of people will open up and provide you with the best red carpet "viewing" place. This will not happen - and you should not complain about the poor organization and regret the time and money spent!

Then, indeed, it is better to look for places outside the park.

Here it must be taken into account that every year the security agencies mark out the "dead" zone in different ways. For example, in 2018 it was not as big as in the past, 2017, and people behind the fences could well find good review, to see upper fireworks.

You can enjoy the "lower" beauties if you make acquaintances with local natives living on the top floors of houses overlooking the festival's water area. Ask to visit them or at least to the stairwell - and the freeloader will be pleased)

Many expect to watch the show from the Brateevsky Bridge - if not directly, not with a holistic, symmetrical picture, but as if in a "profile", from the side. Do not even hope! During the show, pedestrians are driven off the bridge (and this year there are also repair work go). So people outside the park had to look for convenient viewing points, for example, along Borisovskie Prudy Street.

Again, not everywhere the view was good, they were looking for where at least small bald spots were observed in green spaces.

Do not judge strictly by the quality of the photo, it is nothing, but only professional video shooting can convey the beauty of fireworks (you will find many reports and videos on the net), but I have the goal of showing how much of the fireworks can be seen outside Brateevsky Park.

This shot was taken on the second day of the festival from Borisovskie Prudy Street near the stop "Vodnomotorny club" from the side of the houses. As you can see, the left fireworks are hiding behind the tops of the trees.

The next frame is from the nearest stop to the bridge. Here the crown of trees is not so dense. The review is better, although more from the side.

Then I went around the fences and crossed the street to the side of the park to the same stop. You can see much better in the bald patches of trees because of the cordon mesh, and I liked this point the most. Music is almost inaudible anywhere - so, some fragments of melodies are heard.

Time to experiment and find a more comfortable place was in between the performances of the teams.

And so you can see from the window of the landing of the house already behind the Brateevsky bridge, that is, completely on the side.

Beautiful, of course. But, comrades, it's still better from the park - I recommend, "everyone to the park")

And one more thing: I read a lot of abusive reviews about the festival. Of course, everyone has their own opinion - from own experience. But I definitely want to answer: in order not to complain about a mediocre organization, be sure to visit the official websites before the event, there is a lot of necessary information; do not be late, come early and keep in mind that this is the largest mass event, where the main thing is the safety of people, hence the many restrictions. And this must be understood!
