Biography of the singer Yuta

Singer Yuta (Anna Semina) is another bright star of the Russian musical stage. She has authored many wonderful compositions, many of which were written for various films and television series. It was as a songwriter for films that Yuta became best known among listeners. But what other interesting facts can be found in the fate of this extraordinary singer? We will try to line up all the events in a logical series, as well as shed light on the main events in the life of our today's heroine, in the framework of our new article.

Childhood and the family of the singer Yuta

Anna Vladimirovna Semina was born in the city of Sverdlovsk (now Yekaterinburg) on June 20, 1979. Her mother was an opera singer, and therefore, from an early age, her parents paid great attention to her daughter's musical education. First, Anya took a flute course, and later she also began to sing. However, to her mother's terrible surprise, she sang not classical vocal parts, but mostly thieves' songs, which were so quoted in the working quarters of Yekaterinburg, where their family lived.

Singer Yuta is back at the peak of popularity

In addition, Yuta was also fond of sports - she went to swimming and rhythmic gymnastics. But she didn’t achieve any really bright victories in this area, and therefore she soon decided to focus all her attention on musical creativity.

Anna Semina's move to Moscow

At the age of eleven, the girl began to learn the piano, and a few years later she firmly decided to move to Moscow in order to continue her studies there at the piano department of the famous Gnesinka. As the artist herself admits, she made such a decision in defiance of all her relatives and friends. Nobody believed in her, but she proved with her colossal work that she could succeed. As a result, Anna Semina nevertheless entered the Gnessin School, but the price for this was the complete absence of personal life and youth as such.

As a result, Yuta studied at Gnesinka for several years and very soon successfully graduated from this educational institution. But almost immediately after that, her interest in piano music suddenly disappeared. Having made a sharp turn in her career, Anya decided to take up jazz vocals and, to the surprise of many, she succeeded quite well in this field.

UTAH "My Beloved"

But changes in creative predilections on this by no means exhausted their limit. In 1999, Yuta suddenly began to seriously get involved in heavy music. During this period, the musician Alexander Semenov became her friend and "comrade-in-arms". At first, the artists did not like each other very much, but later, surprisingly, they worked well together in a music studio. Other musicians soon joined them. So the Utah group appeared on the Russian stage.

Singer Yuta's Star Trek: The First Albums

In the early 2000s, the musical group played mostly "hard" compositions in the style of pop-grunge. However, subsequently the “heaviness” of the music somewhat diminished. The group began to work in a style similar to the musical role of Shirley Manson and the Garbage band. It was this genre that subsequently brought the team considerable success.

During the existence of the group, the composition of its members has changed several times. Invariable link remained, in fact, only Yuta herself. But for the success of the whole project, this seemed to be quite enough.

Utah - Hops and malt

Over the twelve years of its existence, the Utah group has released six studio albums, as well as a huge variety of different collections, "live" and remix records. One of the albums - "Easy and even elegant" - was published twice in 2001 and 2004.

Top Utah Songs

The records and concerts of our today's heroine have always been very popular among the audience. For a long time, the Uta group was in the TOP-10 of the most popular bands in Russia. However, the compositions written for various television series brought the greatest fame to this project.

The first swallows in this regard were the song "Youth in Boots", as well as some other compositions written for the TV series "Soldiers". These musical works became real hits, and therefore soon Anna Semina often began to write songs for television series and films.

So, the most famous were the compositions written for the projects "Students", "Lavrova's Method", "Men's Women's Game". Subsequently, many of these songs became major hits on Yuta's albums.

Singer Yuta currently

In 2012, after a long collaboration, our today's heroine announced that she was disbanding the group and starting to work as a solo artist. It is noteworthy that the artist began a new page in her work under the pseudonym Anna Herzen. This project, however, lasted less than a year. Recognizing the experience of solo work as unsuccessful, the singer re-assembled the Utah group, within which she still works today.

Singer Yuta with her husband and child

At the moment, our today's heroine is working on new musical compositions, which should be presented in the coming years.

Yuta's personal life

At the end of 2006, Anna Semina married film producer Oleg Osipov, an affair with whom had lasted about two years before. After registering the marriage, the girl changed her last name and began to appear everywhere under the name Anna Osipova.
The artist's first-born son Anatoly was born in 2007. After that, our today's heroine gave birth to more twin daughters, whom she named Ekaterina and Maria.

For a long time, the family of Anna and Oleg was absolutely happy, but in 2011, the singer's husband unexpectedly died of cardiosclerosis for everyone. After that, rumors began to appear in the press that Osipov's business partners could deprive the singer of the inheritance of her deceased spouse. However, in the end everything worked out well.
Yuta currently lives in Moscow with her three children.

Childhood and youth

Anna Vladimirovna Semina was born in Sverdlovsk (now Yekaterinburg) in the summer of 1979 in a creative family. The mother of the future performer Yuta is an opera singer, so classical music has become a kind of background for Anna's childhood and youth. Parents, noticing the musical abilities of their little daughter, sent her to learn to play the flute. The girl completed the course and at the age of 11 she began to master a new instrument - the piano. At the same age, Anya sang, shocking her mother: her daughter preferred not the classics, but the chanson, revered in the working quarter of Sverdlovsk, where the family lived.

Passion for music was not the only one: Utah visited the pool and rhythmic gymnastics. But the genes won: the daughter focused on musical creativity. The girl was so carried away by the piano that she continued to master the instrument in the capital's Gnesinka. Anna entered the school without a completed musical education in the piano class. Relatives did not believe that she would succeed in this field, but Anya demonstrated amazing determination and diligence: the piano department of the school named after. She graduated from the Gnesins with honors.

Anna Osipova (Semina) - the real name of the singer Utah

After graduating from music school, Yuta again surprised the family: she lost interest in the piano and took up jazz vocals. The girl took her first steps in this musical direction in her third year at Gnesinka. Tatyana Markovich gave lessons to the young singer, and Yuta studied composition and arrangement with the People's Artist of the RSFSR Yuri Saulsky.

Music

Anna's acquaintance with the musicians of the Sverdlovsk rock band "April March" influenced the further biography of the vocalist. The girl created her own team, for which she wrote songs and music, made arrangements. The creative pseudonym Yuta in translation from Japanese means a song, a melody. The group got the same name. Yuta made her debut with an album titled "Easy and Even Graceful" in 2001. Behind her was the image of a punk-grunge singer performing compositions to extreme music. Yuta has been called the pioneer of Russian punk grunge. Critics and music lovers have noted the similarity of Yuta's early work with.

But Utah's second compilation Hops and Malts, released in 2002, turned out to be less hard and more light and melodic. The songs “Fall” and the title song, which gave the name to the album, took places in the rotations of Russian radio stations. Yuta was noticed and invited to the Invasion rock music festival, which is held with the informational support of Nashe Radio. A clip was filmed for the composition "Hop and Malt" directed by Alexander Solokha.

The following year, Utah presented the disc "Rye and Clover", including songs to the verses of a fellow countryman and at that time a State Duma deputy Yevgeny Roizman. The most popular compositions of the new album were the songs "Name" and "Violet-Black", which got into radio rotation.

The fifth studio album (a collection of remixes was released in the same year) appeared in April 2004. It is called "Girl" and released by the company "Nikitin". The collection turned out to be more romantic and melodic than all the previous ones. Yuta's song "Waiting", performed in a duet with Vladimir Shakhrin, got into the rotation of "Our Radio", and the single "Heaven is Equal" in the Tophit music chart took 59th place.

2005 turned out to be a breakthrough year for Utah: the singer was recognized as a film composer. The first soundtrack that made Utah famous was "Youth in Boots" for the series "Soldiers". The first sign was followed by others: for the series, the composer wrote the soundtracks "Once Upon a Time" and "The Same Girl". The songs got into radio rotation. In the same year, the vocalist recorded the album Teleradiosny, in which she completely moved away from rock. The compositions included in the collection reminded many of the Soviet pop songs that were performed by and.

In the spring of 2007, Utah presented the sixth album, called "After". The name was dictated by the song of the same name, written for the film "After Life". The composition was awarded a special prize at the fourth international film festival in Sevastopol. A clip appeared for the song, edited from the frames of the film. Two more songs of the album - "Name" and "Jealousy" - became the soundtracks for the films "Soldiers" and "Ensign". Yuta sang the song "Name" with.

In 2008, the premiere of the album "On the Edge" took place. Yuta shared that the album was a turning point for her, pushing her to search for new forms. It combines cold compositions in the style of rhythm and blues with warm and romantic songs. The title track became the soundtrack of the comedy "If only yes, if only", and the song "About him" sounded in the TV series "Provincial".

In 2009, Utah announced that the band of the same name no longer exists. In 2012, after a long intermission, the vocalist announced the start of a solo career, taking the creative pseudonym Anna Herzen. But the new name did not take root, and Anna again returned to her usual one. Yuta continued to write soundtracks for films, and soon there were songs for the Lavrova Method and Men's Women's Game projects. The composer wrote the music for the circus show program of the Safronov brothers and the soundtrack "My Beloved" for the melodrama "While the village sleeps." The song became the winner of the Golden Gramophone.

In 2014, Yuta's 8th album "By the Way" was released on vinyl. Critic Denis Stupnikov noted that in the songs included in the album, there is a lot of hidden pain after the experience. But Yuta “does not speculate on this pain, but speaks about it implicitly, allegorically.” In the same year, the songs "Once Upon a Time" and "Hop and Malt" were included in the list of the 500 best compositions of Our Radio.

In 2015, Utah presented the fans with the collection “My Beloved. The Best Songs”, she wrote music for the serial melodrama “Family Treasures” and participated in concerts in Donetsk and Lugansk, supporting the residents of the unrecognized republics. Fans follow the news in the singer's creative biography on her official website, where there is a schedule of Yuta's concerts, as well as music and poetry.

Personal life

An affair with film producer Oleg Osipov began in 2004. After two years of dating, Yuta and Osipov got married, Anna took her husband's surname, which she still bears today. In 2007, Yuta gave birth to her husband's first child, whom the couple named Anatoly. Three years later, twin girls Katya and Masha appeared. Grief came to the family when the little ones were one year old. Oleg Osipov died suddenly: the cause of death was cardiosclerosis. Previously, the producer was diagnosed with a heart attack.

Utah recovered from the blow and returned to creativity. Mom helped her survive the tragedy, without which, according to the singer, she could not cope with grief. Son Anatoly at the age of 7 sat down at the piano and composed his first music. Yuta claims that the boy has a mathematical mindset and is a copy of his dad. And Katya and Masha draw beautifully. In the personal life of the singer - calm. According to Yuta, there are many talented and bright men next to her, but "none of them are drawn to a life partner."

The 36-year-old Ural singer broke into the charts on the radio in January with the new song "First Date". And at the end of last year, her composition “My Beloved” became really popular. Yuta told Woman's Day why she returned to the stage after several years of silence.

“I didn’t think about love to the grave ...”

Yuta, what have you had to endure over the years?

From 2009 to 2012 there was a period when I did not give concerts. During this time, I managed to endure and give birth to twins Katya and Masha. The eldest Tolik at that time was 3 years old. By the way, Masha is named after my grandmother Masha, with whom I spent my childhood in the Vtorchermet area in Yekaterinburg. And during this break, I continued to work as a composer and songwriter. She managed to write music for the film "Lavrova Method - 2", for two children's performances, for the show of the Safronov brothers, for a feature film and ... to bury her husband.

I am older, stronger, more resilient. I am a mother of three children - it changes the worldview a lot. Responsibility from now on is not just words, but my style of existence. Decisiveness is still lacking, but fears have diminished.

A new period has begun in my life. One morning I woke up and realized that it was time for a change. The songs "My Beloved" and "First Date" are a step on this path.

Your husband Oleg Osipov was only 42 years old when he died in 2011 (he had heart disease, suffered a heart attack. - Approx. WD). Who helped you get through this tragedy?

My mother helped me survive Oleg's death: she took care of the children, supported me with everything possible. I wouldn't have made it without her. Mom is a very strong woman herself, and this strength was transferred to me from her.

With Oleg - was it love at first sight? Do you think you can love as much a second time?

It wasn't love at first sight. In 2004, Oleg invited me to work on the series "Soldiers" as a composer. I started writing music. Nothing foreshadowed when suddenly, about six months later, something happened between us - I looked at him with different eyes. And he began to pay attention to me. And very zealously - he made gifts, looked after, invited him on trips. The novel developed very rapidly, but I didn’t even think about love to the grave ... But at some point it clicked - this is my dear person, I want to be with him, give birth to children for him and take care of him. In 2006 we got married.

Oleg gave me the feeling that I am a princess. My husband has not been around for 4 years, but the feeling remains. And it still gives me drive and strength. To fall in love again... Now my heart is free, let's wait and see.

Utah with her husband Oleg Osipov

I know that after the death of Oleg, the division of his property began (Oleg Osipov was a successful producer, director. - Approx. WD). Were you able to defend yourself and your children?

I do not know who is the true initiator of all the disgrace that was going on. A lot of people fought around his property. As a result, we, the heirs, have achieved nothing. Honestly, I did not want to get involved in these games. I had three kids in my arms, and life was much more precious to me than millions.

“I was afraid of my father, but he made me an artist”

With children: "They are amazing kids - free, powerful and talented"

Tell us about your children: what do they do? Someone is fond of music, singing?

The eldest son Tolik is in the second grade and is engaged in judo and chess. I can't say that he likes studying. No, rather, he is engaged under duress, like a normal boy. It is much more important for me to raise a normal living guy than a nerd. He does not show much interest in music, but he knows almost all of my songs by heart. Tolik is trying to marry me off to all the men I know - the guy needs a father ... I understand everything, but I say: they say, you understand, Tolyan, that you will have to live with him all your life? Tolyan nods thoughtfully...

And the twin girls, they are now five years old, dance, are engaged in all sorts of developmental programs. And they want to marry me too!

They are amazing kids - free, powerful and talented. I learn from them love of life and perseverance!

Your relationship with your father was not easy. Have they changed now - dad began to understand you?

Dad... I owe him everything I can. It was my father who strictly controlled my piano lessons in childhood. It was he who gave me a start in the development of my own career. Yes, I was afraid of him. But it developed as an artist and personality largely thanks to him.

He almost never praised me. And often criticized, and not embarrassed in expressions. Our relationship can be called just that: difficult. And show me - who has a simple relationship with whom? My father is everything to me. Unfortunately, I've only recently begun to fully understand this.

A separate word about mom. She perfectly understood how difficult it was for me and my father. And she made titanic efforts so that there was peace in the house. She is a saint - my mother. Now, being a parent myself, I understand how hard it is.

And now - everything is the same. Dad doesn’t like my song “First Date”, which now sounds on all radio stations, but mom likes it. That's how we live.

“Only time will help to survive the crisis”

Yuta performs again, but continues to write songs for the series

What films, series are you currently working on music for?

How often do you come to your native Yekaterinburg? Are you bored?

I don't come as often as I would like. The last time was two years ago. This year I will arrive a few days before my concert, which will take place on March 17 at the Ben Hall pub. My grandmother, brothers and sisters live here. Here are friends whom I may not see for years, but I am always sure of them. I miss my hometown, of course. In Moscow, when I stumble upon a photo of Yekaterinburg, I freeze. I can hang over a photo for hours, examine and catch goosebumps. And the meeting of fellow countrymen in Moscow is another story! (Laughs.)
