In the mid-90s, the Stavropol guys and Ruslan Tagiyev came to conquer Moscow. Before plunging into the world of music, where only friends have not worked. The biography of the group, which initially called itself “Degree 100,” started in 2008. Soon it was renamed “Degrees”.

Subsequently, Bakhtinov and Golovanov left the group, and new musicians took their places. Kirill Dzhalalov is responsible for the bass, Anton Grebenkin is in charge of the drums, and Alexander Kosilov, who goes by the nickname Sasha-Trubasha, plays the trumpet.

The work, loved by millions of music lovers, represents a mixture of music genres. This is a mix of pop, disco, pop rock and even R&B. From the pen of the authors and performers of songs Roman and Ruslan came the first compositions “My Time”, “Radio Rain”, “Tramp” and, of course, the famous “Director”. In the spring of 2008, the completed group began to rehearse tirelessly. The participants did an excellent job, so much so that after just a month and a half of “training” they were ready to travel around the country with concerts.

The debut performance took place at the end of May in one of the Moscow clubs. The guys made a broad gesture to promote the group - everyone was allowed into the concert for free, but they paid for the rent themselves.

A year later, the single “Director” recorded at the studio literally blew up the charts of Russian radio stations. The song was played on Russian Radio, Hit FM, and Europe Plus. She occupied good places in the charts, and also ranked sixth in popularity on the Internet. As a result, “Director” soared to the first line of the radio chart, and the colorful video filmed was evaluated in the “Russian Ten” program.

The next two songs, “I Never Again” and “Who Are You,” which were released in 2010, turned out to be no less successful. The first took ninth place on the Russian digital singles chart, and “Who are you” immediately settled in second place. Listeners enthusiastically accepted the song “Naked,” which was later continued in the video.

Recognition and awards were not long in coming. "Degrees" became welcome guests at music awards. In 2010, the team became a nominee for Muz-TV and won the Golden Gramophone for the song “Director.”

In interviews with journalists, members of the group revealed the secrets of the tracks' success and told how they were born. In addition to “Naked,” the discs “Sense of Dexterity” (2014) and “Degree 100” (2016) were released.

In 2015, the Pashkov-Tagiyev duo broke up. Roman presented to fans solo project Pa-Shock, and Ruslan created the group “Karabass”. However, the soloists could not live without each other and reunited a year later. The young people returned to the stage with a new hit called “Degree 100”.

Ruslan Tagiev grew up in a simple Stavropol family, where every penny counted. In addition, he had serious health problems since infancy.

Ruslanchik was very difficult for me,” sighs the artist’s mother Nadezhda Dmitrievna. “I had difficulty carrying him to term, and during childbirth the doctors decided to use a vacuum to help the baby be born. From the shoe machine future star quickly moved to the bakery conveyor. In conditions of terrible shortages - when stores had empty shelves - it was possible to get hold of milk, flour and eggs at the bakery.

“It was I who got Ruslan into the bakery,” says Tagiyev’s Stavropol friend Denis Sharykin. “We worked fun, the boss loved us and allowed us to eat as many buns as we could fit.” We ate them instead of breakfast, lunch and dinner. True, they ruined their stomachs.

“I wanted Ruslanchik to become a baker,” his mother admits. – I always said that bread is the head of everything! But the son chose a different profession - he became a DJ nicknamed Baks. Of course, I was worried that the nocturnal lifestyle and constant parties would not lead to good things, but Ruslan promised to always have a head on his shoulders. Sometimes the son, of course, behaved like a hooligan. I remember how before the New Year, he and a neighbor’s boy cut down a Christmas tree in the local botanical garden. Then all the district police officers in the city turned against the children: they were forced to pay a huge fine, and their parents were told to go to work. And grandfather forced Ruslan to plow the garden as punishment!

All night long, DJ Baks turned people on at the central Stavropol disco "Provocation", but, returning to the old nine-story panel building, he immediately descended from the starry Olympus: his stepfather, a drug addict, and his mother, exhausted, were waiting for him at home.

Fights and drinking

The second member of the group, vocalist Roman Pashkov, grew up in more favorable conditions: full family in a spacious private house, little sister Vika. But you can’t call Roma a good boy either.

At school I was a complete slob,” Pashkov laughs. – I studied with C grades, and occasionally B grades appeared in my diary. In high school I stopped trying altogether. But I have been involved in sports since childhood. One day I went to a disco with some handball players - I liked it so much that I quit sports school and joined the ensemble to play the guitar.

At one time Romka worked on our local television - he hosted music program, says a close friend of the artist Svetlana Marchenko. “I even tried to study to become a radio and television director, but in the end I was expelled from the institute for absences and hooliganism.

Handball player Pashkov’s hands often itched: with or without reason. Once on the main square of Stavropol, where young people usually gathered in the evenings to skateboard and drink beer, Roman saw a dressed-up dude and, out of habit, rolled up his sleeves. By the will of fate, Tagiyev turned out to be the “victim” of the hooligan.

Fights and drinking were commonplace for me! – Pashkov admits. - There was no need for a reason for this. At that time it was just fun: to get it yourself and break someone else in the same way! Ruslan appeared on the square in a white shirt tied in a knot and in funny shoes with decent heels. He danced so funny, clicking them! I looked at him and thought: “What kind of idiot?!”

Despite Pashkov’s cool disposition, the story of his acquaintance with Tagiyev followed a different scenario: instead of hand-to-hand combat, the guys started breakdancing.

The first years in the capital seemed like real hell to the kids: there was barely enough money for food, and they had to live in a real brothel - side by side with alcoholics and drug addicts.

It was like this bad apartment“Every evening there is a drunken stupor,” Pashkov confesses. – It was there that the first hits of “Degrees” were born. But I began to understand: a little more, and we won’t get out of there. I decided to take a vacation and go home. But in Stavropol I suddenly clearly understood that I had no desire to return to Moscow. It’s good that my mother quietly bought a ticket and almost pushed me back to the capital. True, we never returned to this terrible apartment.

“I was very worried about my son, and so was his girl,” Tagiyev’s mother continues. - Vika lived in the next entrance and was, it seems to me, Ruslanchik’s first love. I wanted them to be together, but the guys grew up and scattered in all directions: my son moved to Moscow, Victoria moved to Rostov. At one time, Ruslan wandered around to see her, but then he plunged headlong into work.

Tagiyev is a real Don Juan,” laughs Sharykin. “The girls went crazy about him.” I once met with one beauty - Kristina Chernyavskaya, so she ran away from me to Ruslan! I even wanted to go to Moscow for him. Now all his ex-girlfriends are biting their elbows: they missed such an enviable bachelor!

This year “Degrees” celebrates its anniversary – the 10th anniversary of the group. In the mid-90s, two guys from Stavropol came to Moscow - they dreamed of concerts, albums and popular recognition. And quite reasonably: in their hometown they were stars - Roma (41) was already writing songs, and Ruslan (41) was a fairly popular DJ. In Moscow they worked in whatever way they could: builders, couriers, salesmen. And in free time were creative. This is how the history of the Degrees group began in 2008. Soon they released the songs “My Time”, “Tramps” and “Director”. The latter made Pashkov and Tagiyev stars - everyone sang it.

Over these 10 years, Roma and Ruslan have not changed at all. Just like their songs, they have remained vital, soulful and light. But “Degrees” do not consider their work frivolous: “In general, we always write serious songs. Even if they don't seem like that at first glance. Just try to put any of our songs on some lyrical guitar, and it will immediately turn from cheerful to sad,” says Roman. They clarify: “These are not scenarios from our lives, but the basis comes from the depths. It’s just that if you start making things up from the beginning, no one will believe you.”

Without difficult situations the life of “Degrees” is not complete. In June, for example, Roman had an accident. “I was taking a taxi to the airport - we were supposed to fly out on tour to Turkey. The driver fell asleep at the wheel and crashed into a truck standing on the emergency lights.” Pashkov then escaped with a broken finger, bruises and minor abrasions, and after a few weeks he returned to work. Every month “Degrees” give an average of 10–15 concerts (and sometimes 20). “In June and July we had about 22 concerts,” Ruslan boasts.

There were, however, months of stagnation. Two years ago, for example: “For three or four months we sat completely idle, gave one concert a month and no longer knew what to do. And neither we nor the guys we worked with knew.” They say that this partly influenced their decision to leave their previous team for Yana Rudkovskaya (43). “Maybe there are people who don’t need a producer,” says Roma. “But we talked and thought we needed him.” Ruslan adds - we chose very important criterion: “We agreed that we need a handsome producer. And they looked at Yana for a long time. She's real beautiful woman" And when asked how to work with it, he answers accordingly: “It works beautifully. Top. In all aspects."

I only see myself writing songs, performing, having ideas.” Although Rudkovskaya’s ideas, says Ruslan, are also okay. “She gushes with them.”
