Turtles are one of the most common reptiles on our planet. Children are familiar with them from numerous cartoons and fairy tales. And surely your child would like to know how to draw a turtle pencil. And this is not at all difficult to do thanks to our step by step lesson, with which you will learn how to draw a turtle in a matter of minutes.

STEP #1

First of all we will draw the base for the turtle. To do this, draw a circle for the head, and add basic facial lines in it. Then we draw an oval for the body and connect it to the head in the neck area. Make small base lines for the paws.

STEP #2

At this point you need to start drawing out the shape of the head. Pay attention to our drawing, how the turtle has a nose and mouth. Then we draw occipital part neck.

STEP #3

Now you need to draw lower lip and the front of the neck. Note the small protrusion on the neck. Once you have done this, start drawing the front legs.

STEP #4

Draw the paws and fingers of our turtle. Then, using the facial base lines, we draw the eyes and eyebrows, as shown in our picture. All you have left to do in this step is draw a small rim for the shell.

STEP #5

On final stage remains to be drawn hind legs and tail, and then make patterns on the shell. When everything is ready, erase all the extra elements and base lines that we made in the first step.

How to draw a turtle with a pencil step by step lesson– diagram, picture and video:

So, let's learn to draw a turtle. Look carefully at the diagram-drawing, and then watch the video, and you will understand and remember everything yourself, repeating the same thing with your own hand on a piece of paper, easily and simply.
Here is a diagram step by step drawing turtles. Let's take a closer look and repeat each point of drawing a turtle. Namely:

Draw a figure that looks like a mushroom cap. This will be our shell. Below we add a line - the front border of the shell.
Let's outline the head and neck of the turtle. While the head will look just like a ball, later we will add details and it will look more like a turtle's head. Next we outline the paws. At this stage we draw only 2 legs located closer to us.
Let's finish drawing the front part of the muzzle and the eyes located closer to us. Then draw the tail.

In the next step we will continue the most interesting and important, adding more details.

Draw the second eye. It is almost invisible; now our turtle is looking not at us, but to the side. Draw the eyes and mouth. Draw by adding two more legs, give them outlines. Draw the edges of the shell and the pattern on it. At this stage it will be easy to get confused in the lines, but a little later we will fix all this.

Now we get rid of the auxiliary, unnecessary lines - we simply remove them.
Take a careful look at your drawing and determine which lines you have turned out to be superfluous - remove them with a “washer”.

Turtle coloring with colored pencils

Here is one of the coloring options. Colors may vary. Pay attention to light and shadows. If the child is already old enough, then it is worth explaining to him what light and shadows are. Because light and shadow will create a more voluminous and expressive turtle. In the picture, light and shadow have already been added.

By repeating drawing a turtle one or two more times, the child will completely remember and master this method of drawing and will do it easily and simply on his own, and will also teach others)

Drawing lesson materials

Let's start drawing our colored turtle from the shell. Take a simple pencil and draw a curved line (the base of the shell). We cover it on top with an arc, like a rainbow.

We have a shell for which we will come up with an interesting pattern of circles and polygons. Using a simple pencil, we will start our pattern from the top. Due to the fact that we look at the turtle from the side, we do not fully see the side patterns. Watch the animation below, which shows the order in which they are drawn. geometric figures on the shell.

The next step is to draw the head with a muzzle and flippers. We will have a sea turtle.

We color the entire turtle with colored pencils. And we tint the sheet with a blue pencil.

You can also decorate the turtle wax crayons, and use watercolor for tinting. Then it will be possible, without being afraid to go to the site, and remove the excess with a napkin.

Today I did homework with my granddaughter. They have an item " The world" A couple of days ago I was given the task to draw the Wise Turtle and the Question Ant. Then I was puzzled, what kind of characters are these? It turns out that there are two teaching aids. I find it difficult to indicate their exact name. Either this is a textbook or a notebook.

It is large in size, soft cover and with color pictures. So in the second part we found these characters. Ant Questioner will study together with first-graders and ask different questions, and Wise Turtle will help you study.

At first, the granddaughter was capricious and said that she couldn’t draw them. I persuaded her to try it. And everything worked out! The proportions are correct, the characters are similar. But our Angelica is in a hurry. He is in a hurry and does everything carelessly. He is already receiving comments for this from the teacher.

Maybe over time you will develop the habit of doing tasks carefully, or maybe it will stay that way. Here, admire our creativity.

Angelica's cheek and forehead were scratched and they were smeared with iodine. She was the one playing with the cat.

Sea turtles have a very unusual shape compared to other inhabitants of the seas, so draw a turtle very exciting, but not the easiest task. The difficulty is that the turtle has a very unusual shape shell, and it is difficult to draw its relief pattern. In addition, the turtle’s skin has a lot of folds and wrinkles that also need to be drawn. Drawn pictures of turtles are most often found using the pencil technique, because with a simple pencil It is easier to create shadows of the shell pattern and deep wrinkles of the turtle's skin. In this lesson you will be able to draw a turtle with a pencil, step by step.

1. Draw the outline of the turtle shell

Let's start the drawing with the outline of the shell. To do this, draw an oval stretched from left to right, and in the center of the oval draw a line dividing the turtle's shell in half. Any picture will correctly display the proportions of the drawing object in subsequent steps if the primary proportions of the drawing are made as accurately as possible.

2. Contours of the head and paws

At this stage of the drawing, mark the outlines of the turtle's paws. The turtle's legs also serve as its fins, so draw them in the shape of triangles. The midline will divide the turtle's body and will serve as a boundary mirror reflection details of the drawing and only there will be one head, although it happens that turtles are born with two heads.

3. How to draw the shell and head

Inside the outline of the turtle's shell, draw an oval of slightly smaller diameter. At the very bottom of the shell, remember to draw a small triangular tail and start drawing the head. First draw the neck with two lines, and then the eyes.

4. Detailing the drawing of the turtle

At this stage, drawing a turtle is not difficult, but you will need to do a lot small parts. First of all, correct the contours of the fins.

5. The drawing of the turtle is almost finished

The shell must be drawn so that all segments of the shell are symmetrical, relative to the line dividing the shell in half. You can choose the sizes of the shell segments at your discretion, as well as their number. To draw a turtle more realistically, you need to pay attention to the little things. For example, you can make small specks on the head and fins, since its skin is rough, with “pimples.” Then work on the shell, and lastly draw the turtle's head in detail.

6. Final stage

At this stage, the drawing of the turtle is already completed, you just need to check if there are any missing details and start applying shadows. The relief pattern of a turtle shell can be depicted with the shadows of a simple pencil, darkening the boundaries of this pattern, and, on the contrary, make the “paths” between parts of the shell lighter. Paint turtle drawing It's not worth using paints. In reality, she is not a very beautiful color; her skin and shell are the usual earth color. Therefore, drawing a turtle with a simple pencil will be even more beautiful.

Turtles, like dolphins, live in the sea and they are called sea turtles. But unlike the dolphin, turtles can also live on land. Your drawings, whether of a turtle or a dolphin, will definitely turn out to be accurate if you draw them step by step, first with a simple pencil, and then color them with paints or colored pencils.

Many children keep turtles at home. If you have a turtle at home, then you can draw it “from life”. Drawing a turtle is much easier than drawing a kitten, because it is very slow.

Pictures of dragons are definitely difficult to draw. In fact, a dragon is a symbiosis of a lizard and a bird, and in the drawing of a dragon it is necessary to reflect the plasticity of these two creatures.

Kangaroos, like turtles, are unique. Firstly, kangaroos live only in Australia, and secondly, the kangaroo mother carries the baby in a “bag” on her stomach, in which it sits until it grows up. Therefore, such animals are called marsupials.

Anyone who loves turtles probably also loves frogs. And sometimes you just want to draw a picture of the characters from a book you read about a frog traveler or how a frog turned into a princess. Drawing for children with a simple pencil is best done in stages, first outlining only general outlines frogs. And then, step by step, draw the whole picture.
