Nevertheless, the desire to become a journalist in 1997 still leads her to television. Perhaps the “journalistic gene” began to speak in her, because Avtandil Isabalievich at one time mastered this profession himself. The only thing that kept Irada from television before was the fear that such titanic work would be beyond her capabilities. But these fears turned out to be in vain.

Irada Zeynalova - famous TV presenter, reporter, talented journalist, born 02/20/1972 in Moscow.

Childhood

Irada has Azerbaijani roots, which could not but affect her very conservative upbringing. Together with their sister Svetlana, they revered their parents, and their father’s authority was simply indisputable. By the way, he was a journalist by training, but by the time his daughters were born he was already working in the ministry and was a major official.

Irada in childhood

Since childhood, Irada has been a purposeful and diligent child with a very strong character and clear-headed personality beyond her years. life position, which she was never afraid to defend. She inherited these qualities from her father. And her sister was always more like her mother - cheerful, cheerful, easily gliding through life.

Irada always liked the profession of a reporter. Her childhood imagination imagined her conducting sharp reports from the most distant points of the planet and telling people details about interesting and significant events.

But, not being confident that she could cope with all the difficulties of a profession that she knew firsthand, Irada, after graduating from school, entered the Moscow Aviation Institute, greatly delighting her father with such a serious choice.

Carier start

Irada successfully graduated from MAI in 1995 and even managed to do a little work in her specialty. She chose a specialization that was unladylike, complex and at that time completely unclaimed (that’s what it means to be ahead of your time with your thoughts!) - nanotechnology. Disappointed that her knowledge is not being put to good use, Irada again thinks about a journalistic career.

And, as often happens, chance decides everything. In 1997, her friend said that a position as an assistant editor had become available in the Vremya program. Irada decides to use this chance and immediately goes for an interview. Largely thanks to the patronage of a friend, she is hired. Here, too, the girl’s determination and broad outlook came in handy.

Three years later, she begins to independently film topical reports for presenters. Russian TV channels and quickly becomes recognizable. And somehow it happened by itself that her childhood dream began to come true. From reporting on exhibitions and concerts, she gradually moved to covering emergencies, tragic events and military operations.

Fame

Already in 2000, she became one of the permanent presenters of the country’s main news program “Vesti”. A few years later he received a prestigious award as the best Russian reporter, and in 2007 he became the head of the program’s news bureau in London. After 4 years, she was transferred to Tel Aviv, and since 2012 she has become the boss of the entire Middle East bureau.

But despite her duties as a leading manager, she does not forget that her main job and vocation is a reporter. She, as before, is ready at any moment to go to the scene of tragic events in response to an alarm call in order to objectively assess them and tell people the truth. This is precisely what Irada considers her primary duty.

She herself said in an interview that, no matter where she is, in the trunk of the car there is always an alarming suitcase with essentials, clothes and a set of cosmetics for filming. After all, the work of a journalist means an irregular schedule and a readiness to be in the thick of any events at any moment.

Today she again works in London, being the head of the official representative office of Channel One in the UK. Now she has more organizational work to do, which she considers no less difficult and responsible, but sometimes she still misses the times when news from hot spots was filmed.

She considers the modern style of presenting news a bit dry and does not hesitate to defend her opinion. She strives to make the presentation of information more lively, to move away from pre-prepared cliches, and not to be afraid of human emotions on the screens. Irada dreams of making the viewer think and independently draw conclusions and evaluate important events, what is happening in the country and in the world, and does a lot for this.

Personal life

Irada Zeynalova has been married for many years to her colleague, also an employee of the Vesti program, Alexey Samoletov. Raised on traditional Eastern family values, Irada was able to become an exemplary wife and mother even despite everything life's vicissitudes, with which the fate of the journalist is connected. The couple has two beautiful sons.

With husband and son

Irada is a very versatile person. And although she has practically no free time for hobbies and entertainment, and the hours that she does have, she tries to spend with her family, she still loves to read. Another secret passion of hers is collecting clown figurines, which she brings back from every trip. Friends and acquaintances also give them as gifts, so the collection is growing quickly.

Channel One has selected a replacement for the host of the weekly analytical program Vremya, aired on Sundays (formerly Sunday Time). Instead of Irada Zeynalova, the host of the new season will be the general director of the Expert media holding, Valery Fadeev, two channel employees told RBC and a friend of Fadeev confirmed. Fadeev himself refused to comment to RBC.

Now Fadeev is testing in the studio of the “Time” program, another employee of “First” added.

Oksana Rostovtseva, editor-in-chief of Voskresnoye Vremya, told RBC that the program has not been broadcast since mid-July. “The season will start on September 4, we are all on vacation now, we don’t know anything,” she said. The press service of Channel One did not respond to RBC’s request.

Zeynalova will most likely remain on the channel, her colleague said, she may be offered to host some kind of talk show. The last issue of “Sunday Time” with Zeynalova was released on July 10, 2016. Starting from July 17, the weekly information and analytical program of Channel One is called “Time”, and its presenters change.

Irada Zeynalova has been leading “Voskresnoe Vremya” since 2012; her predecessor in this post was Pyotr Tolstoy, who is now running for the State Duma from “ United Russia" Every year Zeynalova took part in the program “Conversation with Dmitry Medvedev.”

In 2014, a scandal erupted around one of the stories shown in the Sunday program. The journalist interviewed a refugee from Slavyansk, who talked about how Ukrainian troops, having entered the city, allegedly staged a public execution of a three-year-old boy. Ukrainian and Russian media discovered factual inconsistencies in the story, and also drew attention to the fact that similar story was previously published on the blog of pro-Kremlin political scientist Alexander Dugin. Zeynalova later commented on the scandal surrounding the story, saying that the journalists had no evidence of the veracity of the story, but “this real story a real woman." In 2014, the TV presenter was included in the Ukrainian sanctions list.

One of the reasons for replacing the presenter is due to fierce competition with Dmitry Kiselev’s Vesti Nedeli, says Zeinalova’s colleague. Sunday “Vremya” was one of the most popular information and analytical programs in the country, along with “News of the Week” (aired on Sunday on channel “Russia 1”), according to data from TNS Russia. Rating latest issue Sunday's Vremya was 4.7%, and Vesti Nedeli was slightly behind - 4.4%. Prior to this, Kiselyov’s program managed to maintain its leadership position for three weeks in a row, but with a minimal advantage - 0.1-0.3 percentage points.

An acquaintance of Fadeev gives two reasons why the choice fell on him: according to him, on the eve of the presidential elections, they want to select a new person on television who will inspire more confidence among the conservative electorate. The second reason is the Kremlin’s desire to compensate Fadeev for his loss in the United Russia primaries. Fadeev was promised a passing place on the Moscow lists of United Russia, but at the last moment, due to the reluctance of the capital authorities, he had to run in the primaries in Komi, which was unfamiliar to him, his acquaintance claims. He lost the primaries and ultimately did not make it onto the list of candidates.

Fadeev has been the editor-in-chief of Expert magazine since 1998, and in 2006 he also became general director media holding of the same name. He was a member of the Public Chamber and is still a member High Council"United Russia". Together with deputy Vladimir Pligin, he leads the Liberal Platform of United Russia. He was confidant Putin in the presidential elections, entered the central headquarters of the All-Russian Popular Front (ONF).

He already has experience as a TV presenter: since 2014, he has been hosting the “Structure of the Moment” program on Channel One.

The host of an evening program on the main TV channel should be a person of an emotional and heartfelt nature, while Fadeev claims to be intellectual, says Evgeniy Minchenko, head of the Minchenko Consulting holding. "If we're talking about about generating trust among the population, then it must be a different type of person. This is not Fadeev’s role,” says the political scientist.
