How to draw a house with a pencil. Traditional Chinese house Siheyuan: glorious past and foggy future Chinese houses drawings of children

Everyone wants to have their own shelter in order to hide there from this world. I'll tell you how to draw a house with a pencil. Perhaps in the future you will be able to build your own cozy shelter. The house is the permanent abode of people and all the goods they have acquired in the form of a TV, unlimited Internet and a cat. It is carefully taken care of by the owner, insulated for the winter and serves as a venue for cultural events. In the territory of Rashka, it is most often a communal apartment in a Khrushchev-era building, less often an apartment in the center of Moscow or Bobruisk. In places remote from civilization, this could be a two-story barn with a leaking roof. Brings a loss in the form of constant European-quality repairs and communal tribute, needs expensive armored doors to protect property and add beauty to the appearance. Grants protection from acid rain and hurricanes of minor brawls, as well as from gypsies, Avon agents, and Jehovah's Witnesses. Specific type of houses:

  • Madhouse (synonyms: psychiatric hospital, psychiatric hospital, Kashchenko) - A habitat for creative and talented people. Equipped with equipment for conducting experiments on people healing and healing of the soul. Accommodation by special invitation.
  • The White house . A pumped-up version of the usual madhouse for the elite of this world. Led by the Black Lord, it spreads democracy throughout the world, absolutely free of charge, preference is given to countries with oil and dangerous terrorists.
  • House-2 is almost the same as a madhouse, only there patients are also paid money.

Now let's create a project for your home.

How to draw a house with a pencil step by step

Step one. We draw a small standard house, as it looks in the village, with a triangular roof.
Step two. Let's straighten out the structure a bit, add some formal bushes around it and adjust the edges of the roof.
Step three. Let's add design to this hut, a beautiful porch and facade ornament.
Step four. Now let’s draw several windows in the front on both floors, as well as a few from the side. You also need some trees in the background and a path to the entrance.
This is what my house will look like, what kind of house would you like to build? Draw and attach your work below this article. It will be useful for you to find out more.

A house is an architectural structure, so when drawing it step by step, you first need to build a general drawing of the house, and only then start “building” and adding other parts of the house to the picture. When drawing a house, you can’t do without a ruler, and, of course, a pencil. The house should look symmetrical, so you need to accurately mark the dimensions of height, width, etc. using a ruler.
The house can be depicted in different ways, for example, by making a roof out of tiles, drawing double doors, or adding a fireplace chimney lined with bricks. Draw these “little things” according to your wishes, but any house must have a foundation, walls, a roof and doors with windows. If you follow these rules, then the lesson how to draw a house it will be very easy for you.

1. General drawing of the house

To create a house drawing, first draw a rectangle. Measure out more than half the space inside it and draw a vertical line at this point. It will divide the house into two parts, an entrance hall and a living room. The purpose of this lesson is to learn to see the proportions of the house, you don’t have to copy my drawing, you can choose a different house layout for your drawing.

2. Contours of roof and doors

Inside the left half of the house, draw, in the middle of the roof line, the point of its apex. From the end of the right line, draw a horizontal line all the way to the end of the house itself, it will separate the roof from the walls. On the right side of the picture, draw a rectangle for the future door.

3. How to draw windows

You see that when drawing a house step by step, using a ruler, everything turns out quickly and smoothly. And as soon as you draw the windows and foundation, the picture of the house will be almost ready. At the bottom of the picture, draw a line for the foundation; any house must have one. Outline the contours of the roof with additional parallel lines. In the living room, draw two rectangles for the windows.

4. Add more details to the house drawing

Now you need to slightly “cut” the roof on both sides, making a slight slope for it. Rarely are the roofs of houses straight; builders always try to give them an interesting, unusual shape. “Cut” the roof with diagonal lines in two places. Outline the windows and door with additional contour lines. At the bottom of the house, add another plane for its bottom. Near the vertical dividing line, draw a rectangle with a small other rectangle on top, this shape will serve as a chimney. Draw a line connecting the roof and the wall on the left side under the roof.

5. How to draw a house. The final stage

Use a pencil to draw parallel lines to the front of the roof to create the effect of laid out boards. Draw lintels in the windows. Draw the doorway from two halves. Draw a threshold at the bottom of the entrance. “Make” the foundation out of brick, dividing the general contour into cells. The roof also needs to be decorated. The best way to do this is to draw the details of the tiles. You'll have to work a little harder, but house drawing it will be more beautiful. The chimney will also be made of brick.

6. Color picture of the house

When drawing a house, you can’t do without the surrounding landscape, consisting of trees, grass, blue sky, bright yellow sun, pets, people, etc. Be sure to color the picture of the house at your discretion with colored pencils or paints.

Drawing a house or a castle is a good lesson for learning to draw. Using an ordinary pencil, you will gradually learn to draw the proportions of a building, create a perspective for the landscape surrounding the house, and learn to add volume to the walls using shadows and lines.

Trees quite often become the subject of children's drawings. After all, what would a drawing of a house be without trees? But a tree is not as easy to draw as it seems, so it is better for novice artists to draw a tree in stages and first with a simple pencil.

It’s beautiful when trees grow near the house and flower beds are laid out. When drawing a house, be sure to draw flowers nearby.

First of all, some tips on drawing techniques. Some people have a habit of drawing with broken lines and sometimes tracing them. Try to learn how to draw lines in one motion, don't be afraid to make mistakes.

A favorite cat at home on the sofa, a cat in boots from a favorite fairy tale or a favorite cat often become characters in children's drawings. In addition, such pictures can be a good decoration for a child’s room. But in order to draw a cat correctly, let's learn a little.

Saint Bernard is a bad guard at home, but a reliable friend. He will not bark assiduously at a stranger who comes into the house, but he will save a person covered by an avalanche. In this lesson we will learn how to draw a St. Bernard dog with a pencil step by step.

Beijing's siheyuan houses are considered classic examples. In other regions of China, depending on climatic conditions, available building materials, and local traditions, there were their own types of houses, usually variations of siheyuan.

Classic Chinese Siheyuan House Structure with Three Courtyards

The outer walls of traditional Chinese houses have either small or no windows. When you walk, for example, through the hutongs of Beijing, you often see only walls with elegant gates to the courtyard. The imagination pictures a cozy Chinese house with a garden. The reality sometimes turns out to be much more prosaic.

A beautiful courtyard is not always hidden behind elegant gates

In the old days, as a rule, the entire siheyuan house was occupied by one large family consisting of several generations. It symbolized her wealth and prosperity. In simpler families, each building in the siheyuan consisted of one room. In a wealthy family, each building might have several rooms. This is reflected in the language: the word 房子 fanzi means both house and room.

If the size of the plot allowed, then over time the internal structure of the siheyuan house could become significantly more complex. However, the courtyard system with four main buildings remains unchanged

The entrance to a Chinese siheyuan house is usually located on the southeast side of the building, which is considered an auspicious sign. It's called 大门 damenbig, or main gate. Another name for them is 宅门 zhaimen(gate to the residence). In the palaces of the princes, they consisted of five openings, from which three central ones opened. Often, figures of lions or their likeness were installed in front of the main gate, serving as guards. Near rich houses, special stands were placed to make it convenient to sit in the saddle. In addition, good wishes were written above the doors: hieroglyphs for “longevity”, “happiness”, “fulfillment of desires”, etc.

The entrance to this siheyuan, where at least four families live, is decorated with inscriptions wishing for happiness and fulfillment of desires.

The main gate leads into a small square courtyard, which in turn leads into a narrow outer courtyard 外院 waiyuan. In the center of the northern wall there are elegantly decorated second gate 二门 ermen, passing through which you can get to courtyard 内院 Neyuan.

In small estates there may have been no outer courtyard; the main gate immediately led through a small courtyard into the inner courtyard.

In addition, there could be other outbuildings in the estate, which were called 群房 qunfang. They were usually built on the western or eastern side of the siheyuan. There were kitchens and servants lived there.

However, if we take a closer look, we will see that the structure of the Chinese siheyuan house served important protective functions. The life of the family took place inside a closed space, hidden from prying eyes. The northern and western walls, as a rule, were blank and higher, protecting the house from cold winds and dust storms, especially frequent in the north of the country. Curved top eaves drained rainwater from the foundation (although it was believed that they, first of all, prevented evil spirits from entering the house, throwing them away, as if on a springboard). Thick tiled roofs kept people warm in winter and cool in summer.

In different provinces of China, siheyuan houses had their own characteristics. For example, in the northwestern provinces, such as Gansu or Qinghai, walls were built much higher than, for example, in Beijing, and houses were more elongated along a north-south line in order to protect living quarters from cold winds and dust storms that came from the deserts of the northwest. In Sichuan province and further south, on the contrary, houses are more elongated from east to west so that the bright sun does not warm the yard so much. In northeast China, where there is plenty of land and a fairly cold climate, courtyards are large to receive more sunlight.

Traditional Chinese Siheyuan house today

After the formation of the People's Republic of China, many ancient siheyuan houses turned into so-called 大杂院 Dazayuan, (literally “a courtyard with great crowding”, slum siheyuan) in which several families live, one in each house-room. It turns out to be a kind of commune. To increase living space, courtyards are densely built up. A serious problem of old siheyuan is that, as a rule, they lack modern household amenities, including toilets. However, residents are in no hurry to leave their cramped homes. What's the matter?

Many siheyuan houses are located in the central historical areas of the city. This makes it easy to open your own business and earn very good money. People don’t want to leave the bread-producing place. Many of these estates are converted into hotels and restaurants, or simply rent out rooms.

Now we will draw a simple house, it is not necessary to detail it so much, you can only draw the main lines. We definitely need a ruler to make the house level.

Step 1. Draw two rectangles, the top one is slightly lower than the bottom one.

Step 2. Draw the bevel of the sides of the roof and additional decorative lines.

Step 3. Erase the horizontal side lines from the rectangle, then draw the door and windows.

Step 4. We draw bars on the windows; we will have an attic on top.

Step 5. We draw a window in the attic and we can finish here, but if you want to draw the whole house, let’s continue. Draw parallel lines on the roofs.

Step 6. Draw the tiles. Let's start with the bottom row. We mark the middle of the house and draw a horizontal line in the very first bottom row. Then we draw to the left, and each time we make a greater slope of the straight line to the right, then we draw to the right, the further we go, the greater the slope of the line to the left. Now let's move on to the second row from the bottom. Each straight line we draw is drawn in the middle between each tile of the first row, do not forget, the closer to the side, the more the line should be inclined in the other direction. We continue to do this up to the very top row inclusive. Then we draw patterns on the sides and roof of the attic. I drew wavy lines with circles, you can come up with your own pattern, it doesn’t matter.

So, let's begin the creative process. First of all, draw a rectangle. Measure it with a ruler. You need to divide the house into two parts, so that they are not even, but there is more space on one side than on the other. Draw a dividing line. Perhaps now you are wondering what kind of division of the house it was. We just got two rooms. One of them will be the hallway, and the other will be the living room.

You need to learn to imagine the proportions of the house with the naked eye. When you draw, you don’t have to focus on my drawing; if you want, look for a different house layout.

2. Create the main onesroof contours

On the left half of the building you need to determine the top of the roof and mark it with a dot. Now we separate the walls from the roof; for this we will draw a horizontal line (it can be pulled to the end of the building). Let's draw a rectangle on the right; in the future it will become the front door.

Now you don't wonder why you needed a ruler, because you realized that using it is very easy to draw a house. By doing a task step by step, everything comes out smoothly and the work moves quickly.

To make our house look like a real one, we next need to draw the windows, and then proceed to the foundation. Soon the picture will be almost ready.

You should draw a line at the bottom of the image. It will serve as the foundation. Now you need to outline the contours of the roof. This must be done by drawing additional lines. We need to draw two rectangles, they will be in the living room and are intended for windows.

4. Beforedraw somedetailAnd

We have to trim the roof a little. We do this on both sides. As we know, the roof should be depicted at a slight slope. Of course, the roof can be made straight, but I think if we give it a slope, it will turn out interesting and unusual. Now “cut” our roof with oblique lines. This must be done in two designated places. Then we outline the windows using additional lines. We do the same with the door.

To make the lower part of the building beautiful, we should draw an additional plane at the bottom. Now all that remains is to add a chimney, because there is no way to do without it. We will depict the chimney in the form of two rectangles and they must be drawn near the dividing line. Then we should make a line under the roof that will connect the roof to the wall.

5. Final stage

By following my instructions, you have drawn the house step by step, but we have not yet done the roof façade. We do it with a pencil, drawing parallel lines. We should get the appearance of laid out boards. Don't forget that the windows have lintels, so let's draw them.

Now let's start drawing the doorway. We make it from two even halves. Of course, you should draw a threshold below; we depict it at the entrance.

Now it's time to draw the foundation. It will be made of brick, so we divide the general outline into even cells. I propose to decorate our roof, so it will look like a real one. So, we depict the details of the tiles. When completing this task, you need to work a little. We make the chimney out of brick. It should turn out to be a beautiful house.

6. Let's do itpictureat tsVetnOuch

I think our drawing will not look beautiful without the landscape around the house. Therefore, we need to add several trees, pets, green grass, sky, sun, people. If you wish, you can come up with your own landscape.

Now be sure to start painting our house. Do this with colored pencils. Whoever has the skills, let him take up the paints.
