“Other Rules” (group): history of creation, participants and their biography

"Other Rules" is a group that was incredibly popular in the early 2000s. Do you know the first and last names of the team members? Or maybe you are interested in their biography? The necessary information is in the article. We wish you pleasant reading!

    History of creation

In September 2002, the Rossiya TV channel launched music project“Be a Star”, an analogue of the world famous show PopStars. Thousands of ordinary girls and boys who came from different corners our country. In the end, only three dozen participants were selected. They had to live under the guns of cameras for several months, attend classes with choreographers and vocal masters, and also perform at reporting concerts.

“Other Rules” is a group created as part of the “Become a Star” project. It united 5 young, talented and ambitious performers (three girls and two boys). It's time to name them. The group featured: Roma Beresnev, Zhannette Kavesa, Alexey Ignatov, Alena Selezneva and Karina Akhmetzaripova.

The team reached the final and was declared the winner of the show. Song “Fly! Run!” appealed to millions of Russian listeners. The guys left the “star house”. But their career did not end there; on the contrary, it continued.

The names and surnames of the “Other Rules” team were announced above. Now let's take a quick look at their biography.

    Jeannette Kawesa

The attractive mulatto was born in 1981 in Moscow. From the age of 5 I participated in music competitions and festivals. She never studied vocals. I just loved to sing. And here music school Jeannette graduated. For several years the mulatto studied piano. The teachers praised her. The girl also graduated from the academic school at the Moscow Conservatory.

Jeannette's main calling is music. “Other Rules” is the project that allowed her to show her abilities and realize herself in creatively. But in 2003, she left the team to pursue a solo career.

    Alena Selezneva

She was born in 1985 in the town of Tosno, in the Leningrad region. I have been studying since childhood ballroom dancing and visited music studio. Alena participated in various competitions and programs, including the famous “Morning Star”.

    Roman Beresnev

This fashionable and smiling guy was born in Dresden (Germany). A few months later his family returned to Russia. At the age of 9, Roman was accepted into the troupe children's theater, to the vocal department. After some time, he began to participate in local and regional competitions amateur performances. Often the boy took prizes.

    Karina Akhmetzaripova

A native of Ufa, since childhood she dreamed of becoming famous singer. Her parents (musicians) fully supported their daughter. From the age of 5, Karina attended a vocal studio. Thanks to perseverance and great talent, she managed to get first into the “Become a Star” project, and then into the “Other Rules” team. The group turned out to be bright and united.

    Alexey Ignatov

Born in 1976 in Moscow. WITH early years the boy was engaged in dancing and music. He mastered instruments such as the balalaika and guitar. In April 2016, Alexey left this world. The circumstances of his death have not been disclosed. Ignatov left behind a son and wife.

    Performances

In 2003, the guys released debut album“Fly! Run! The entire circulation was sold out in a matter of days by fans of the “Other Rules” group. The band members gave several concerts in Moscow and St. Petersburg.

But I had to wait a while with touring activities. What is this connected with? Have people really stopped buying tickets to concerts of the group “Other Rules”? The composition of the group changed in 2003. This did not happen in one day. First, Jeannette announced her resignation. Then Karina followed her example. The remaining guys had to urgently look for a replacement. In the end, they took only one girl - Sofia Ignatova, former soloist Party groups. With her appearance, the team received a second wind. Together with Alena, the team recorded the album “Let’s Push – Let’s Attract.” It turned out to be quite successful.

    Finally

“Other Rules” is a group that has made a certain contribution to the development of Russian pop music. All the guys who performed as part of this group are talented performers and comprehensively developed personalities. We wish them further success and happiness in their personal lives!

    Composition of the group:
    Alexey Ignatov (vocals)
    Alena Selezneva (vocals)
    Roman Beresnev (vocals)
    Sofia Ignatova (vocals)

The television project “Become a Star” (known throughout the world as PopStars), launched on the Rossiya TV channel in September 2002, clearly demonstrated that ordinary boys and girls from various cities in Russia can become real stars - they are talented, purposeful and worthy of standing on the same stage with recognized luminaries of our stage.

In 2002, the group “Other Rules” left the television project “Become a Star” and became an independent group. The guys passed all the tests: a casting of 8 thousand people, life under the surveillance of television cameras, a huge amount of work.

The group was created as a broad brand that unites the image of young, talented, energetic, successful boys and girls; the brand’s motto was the phrase from the first song “Simple boys, simple girls are flying towards life!”

Following unprecedentedly idealistic principles from the point of view of cynical show business, this project attracted the attention of millions of Russians. In front of the whole country, ordinary guys were step by step approaching fame, making their incredible dream come true.

The winners were Roman Beresnev from Kemerovo, Karina Akhmetzaripova from Ufa, Zhannette Kawesa from Moscow, Alena Selezneva from St. Petersburg and Alexey Ignatov from Moscow.

The quintet released its debut album, took part in more than 30 television programs, released three video clips, appeared on 14 charts in a variety of media, and conquered two hundred cities in Russia and other regions with its performances. Rapid popularity, close public attention, as well as grueling tour schedule— the guys lived with all this for several months.

In 2003, the guys released the album “Fly!”, and then disappeared from the press for a long time.

Break in creative activity"Different Rules" was caused by changes in the composition of the group. The group has changed – both internally and externally! Karina and Zhannette left “Other Rules”, and Sofya Ignatova joined the remaining members of the group, throughout recent years, soloist in the group “Party”. The girl brought a fresh note to the group. “Different Rules” have really matured and their voices have taken on a new coloration.

The result creative searches The group’s long-awaited album “Push-Pull-Attract” was radically different from the previous record.

IN currently The group “Other Rules” is working on new material, preparing to shoot a new video, and new photo shoot.

The image of the “Other Rules” group is young, energetic, talented, successful girls and boys, open to experimentation.

    Winners! Young stars!

But at the same time, “simple boys, simple girls,” guys from our yard, who achieved everything on their own in fair struggle and open competition. They have become an example and hope for those who dream of achieving success in life, and not only in the field of music.

    Group Other Rules

The five winners of the television project “Become a Star!”, the group “Other Rules”, attacked the music broadcasts of radio stations on December 12. From the quintet “Other Rules” they transformed first into a quartet, then into a trio, and then again your FAVORITE in the group “Other Rules”? Thank God that A. Panayotov did not end up in this group. It’s just that the Other Rules project was relevant in 2002 - 2003, well now. Group Other Rules is the official website of the concert organizer. Group Other Rules - ordering concerts. Regarding the organization of concerts.

The five winners of the television project “Become a Star!”, the group “Other Rules”, attacked the music broadcasts of radio stations on December 12 with debut single“Fly! Run! Recently, the first video of the “star five” was shot for the composition of the same name. The video was directed by Hindrek Maasik, known to viewers of music channels from the videos of the group “Disco Accident”. The first video for “Other Rules” is designed in the spirit of 80s pop minimalism.

Russian musical group“Other Rules” was formed in 2002. The TV project of the RTR channel “Become” brought together talented guys.

This is exactly what, according to the group’s producer Alexander Shulgin and Maasik, it should look like business card groups. “Hindrek Maasik was invited to direct because his ideas were closest to mine. - says Shulgin. – The video has no plot as such – the guys are simply dancing against the backdrop of five burning stars. The main thing in this work is not the screenwriter’s sophistication. The guys show themselves: they convince the viewer that they can sing, dance, and feel like a group. Song “Fly! Run!” – about them, about ordinary girls and boys who are moving towards their goal.

In one of the episodes, each of them is wearing T-shirts with the image of another member of the group: the song has the line “...a face on a T-shirt...”. IN Lately They don’t come out of these T-shirts.”

Today, the permanent choreographer of the group is the eminent Kevin Allen, who choreographed dances for such mega-stars as Elton John, Kylie Minogue, and worked on the choreography of the English project Popstars. Masha Katz is responsible for the vocal part of the composition - she, under the pseudonym “Judith”, represented Russia at the Eurovision Song Contest in 1996. Propaganda group then and now

Dear Gossip Girls, hello everyone! I’ve been on Gossipnik for a long time and closely)) But I still didn’t dare to write my first post, and then the idea came up after watching an old video of the group “Propaganda - Chalk” on the music channel. I remember how, as a child, I found in this song deep meaning)) I really liked this group, I knew, naturally, I knew all the words by heart)) Then I was still a ten-year-old girl and in children's summer camps we just listened to their songs.

A little history. The Propaganda group was founded in 2001. The first lineup, which will be discussed in this post, consisted of soloist Victoria Voronova, Victoria Petrenko and Yulia Garanina. They were the authors of all the first songs. But then there was a rift between the girls and the producer, and Victoria Petrenko left the group, followed by Yulia Garanina. Then there were other girls, but I won’t write about them, because... I'm interested in this one, the first and most famous composition this group. Well, let's remember our youth?)

We haven’t heard anything about the group for a long time, they don’t appear anywhere former members this trio. But after rummaging through the Internet, I finally found them. And I’m sharing with you, I think many of you also listened to them as children.

Of the trio, I liked the soloist Victoria Voronina, who is also a songwriter, the most. This is what she looked like during her popularity

I considered her an incredible beauty, so lively, with big eyes, with good voice(yes, I sincerely thought so). BUT, what happened to her next is, excuse me, a complete joke. In general, judge for yourself.

Now Victoria, already an ex-soloist of Propaganda, is engaged in solo work, as her VK page tells us, writes songs for other authors and appears in videos. But for some reason no one sees them.

She was not spared the fate of duck lips and tuning, which makes everyone look the same. Now let's see what Vika looks like now.

Now Vika is 32 years old, Karl is thirty-two!

You know, girls, but I still like it, even now. She’s kind of cute, well, I don’t see any malice in her, even though she’s not popular now, she still continues to do something, which is commendable.

Two other girls, Victoria Petrenko and Yulia Garanina, created their own group with the simple name “Petra and Yukka”

This is what the girls look like now

Sorry that the pictures are like this different sizes, and the text is lame. This is my first post, so I’m very worried and still don’t know how to do everything correctly here. Please understand and forgive) Beaver to everyone! 🙂

  • The finalists of the reality show “Become a Star” criticize “People’s Artist” and are preparing for a second breakthrough. On the eve of Student Day, the first graduates of the first in history visited Kuzbass Russian television project for sculpting stars in real time - the group “Other Rules”, especially loved by our fellow countrymen thanks to Roman Beresnev, a student in the department of pop directing at KemGUKI.

Roma is a diligent student and, despite permanent job in the capital, regularly appears at his native university. Whatever you say, no one has canceled the session yet. So this time, after a performance at the Volna cultural and entertainment complex, student Beresnev sat down with his books and actively prepared for the exams for a whole week. Which, however, did not stop the MK correspondent from meeting with the four “others” and finding out from them last news. And, in particular, ask the question that worries everyone: “Where did Zhannette and Karina go? And why did the new soloist Sonya Ignatova join the already familiar Alena Selezneva, Alexei Ignatov and Roma Beresnev?”
Novel: There is an explanation for everything. The fact is that after parting with our first producer Alexander Shulgin, we had a change in composition. This happened almost a year ago, I just came new producer Egor Negin, who decided to change the composition, brought new material, made stylistic adjustments, etc. This is how it appeared new girl Sonya. We grow, we change. And so then they perceived what was happening quite adequately.
“MK”: Weren’t you worried? After all, you were together from the first day and always the five of you...
    Novel:
We've calmed down a little now. But the sediment still remained. Yes, it's a little disappointing. But, thank God, we survived this period.
“MK”: Do you know what the ex-“others” are doing now?
    Alexei:
We still have friendly relations. We meet often and talk on the phone. Zhanna auditioned for New Wave 2004 in Jurmala. But, unfortunately, it didn’t work out. And Karina is happy with this moment his personal life (and also, as far as MK has learned, he is participating in the new project “Diva” - author).
“MK”: Why did you break up with Shulgin? There are still a lot of rumors about this...
    Novel:
Initially, we had an agreement with him to release one album and one video. And so it happened in the end: the album “Fly!” was released, which Shulgin and composer Evgeny Kuritsyn wrote for us, and two videos - “Fly! Run!” and "Opera". When the contract ended, we went our separate ways mutual consent. Still in good relations. In general, Shulgin is very interesting and cool. A man with a very clear own opinion, which is almost impossible to challenge. And if you try, you will fail.
“MK”: Who determines the musical policy of the group today?
    Alexei:
We ourselves! We are currently in a transition period, because, naturally, it is not easy to change the composition and image. Yes, we had a seasonal producer, but on our own initiative we parted ways with him ( we're talking about about Mr. Negin - author).
Alyona: We work according to the Western principle - there the artists themselves choose with whom to work. Same Madonna - she changes producers according to her mood.
    "MK": Not a bad comparison...
    Alexei:
Well, you need to strive for the best! It’s more interesting to work with people who invest something new in you...
Alyona: At the moment, we have already recorded and are ready to release our second album. And for now everything depends on our record company (today “Other Rules” is bound by obligations with “www.records” - author). When she decides to launch a new PR campaign, then you will see our new disc. We hope that this will happen in the spring. In the meantime, we are actively giving concerts.
"MK": I would like to know more about your new soloist
    Sonya:
I was born in Moscow, sang in the choir since childhood, participated in various projects, three years before “Other Rules” I was a member of the girl group “Party”. So I’ve been on stage for a very long time. Previously, she combined singing with modeling. But now I’ve definitely decided.
Novel: In fact, Sonya is very good girl. Charismatic is very important. Beauty, talent, voice - she has it all. The four of us worked very well together. Today we have the same strong family as before. Remember Japanese transforming toys? Which are going to form one big giant? It’s the same with “Other Rules”: when we are together, we are a giant!
“MK”: I wonder how you evaluate the latest “star” projects of Russian television?
    Alexei:
Both “People’s Artists” were made by the same team as our own project “Become a Star”. But, compared to what we had, “People’s Artist” is much angrier. In my opinion. First of all, this concerns the statements of the jury towards the contestants. There was a pleasant, friendly atmosphere at Become a Star. Of course, there was nervousness and emotional tension, but I don’t like that now, on “People’s Artist,” this tension is achieved by some not very pure methods.
Alyona: We know the behind the scenes of this project, and we know why the jury members speak as they do. Yes, of course, we need to create a show, but still not so cruel.
Alexei: And also, you know, we are against any competition between “Become a Star”, “Star Factory”, “People’s Artist” and so on. This is absolutely different ways revealing talents, despite the fact that this is all a reality show. Although now, it seems to me, the audience is already fed up with them, the ratings are falling. Naturally, what we have seen lately is already too much.
“MK”: At the end of the interview, a logical question for Roma: has Kemerovo changed while you were away?
    Novel:
I don't know if it's for the better or for the worse, but he's definitely changed. Not even the city itself, but the setting. Maybe this is a view from the outside, from a person who has lived in Moscow, at a different pace, with different faces. Kemerovo is a nice, cozy city, very green in summer. For me, Kemerovo is home! It's always very good here.

    Rules

Before the start of the project, three months of auditions were held over two days, during which the jury reviewed several thousand applicants in the cities of Nizhny Novgorod, Saratov, Kazan, Novosibirsk, Ufa, Rostov-on-Don, Krasnodar, Yekaterinburg, St. Petersburg, Moscow. Even older people came to the casting. In total, 8,000 people took part in the project.

On the first day, 2 songs were listened to without musical accompaniment. Those who were accepted to Day 2 had to prepare several of the 10 proposed songs and demonstrate their ability to dance.

The selection was made by three judges:

    • DJ of the BBC Russian Service Seva Novgorodtsev
    • producer Alexey Makarevich
    • famous journalist, director and TV presenter Fyokla Tolstaya

100 people were invited to the 2nd round in Moscow. All qualifying rounds were filmed and shown on the Rossiya channel.

    Participants

    • "Other rules":
      • Roman Beresnev
      • Alena Selezneva
      • Alexey Ignatov (December 3 - April 7)
      • Karina Akhmetzaripova
      • Jeannette Kawesa
    • Maxim Sharafutdinov (Kazan). Finalist (now the famous presenter of “News” on Channel One).
    • Alexander Panayotov. I was among the top ten finalists for the project. Subsequently, he participated in the “People’s Artist” project of the Rossiya channel, where he took second place.
    • Kirill Sharafutdinov (Kazan). Brother of Maxim Sharafutdinov, who went through several stages of casting, but was eliminated before reaching the top fifty. One of the founder and artistic directors popular band Jukebox Trio .
    • Katya Ryabina (Moscow). Finalist. At the very end, the judges did not choose her among the top five, considering her an artist created exclusively for a solo career.
    • Kamilla Tutaeva (Kazan). A very unusual participant with characteristic appearance. During the project I tried to stay with the “Kazan crowd”. She was among the lucky ones invited to Moscow, where she went through several stages of the competition in a country hotel and reached fifty. Left the project along with another bright participant from Kazan by Kirill Sharafutdinov.
    • Ksenia Bykova (Rostov). One of the brightest and scandalous participants project. Reached the top thirty. I remember her open negative statements regarding other contestants. She sang in the same group with another participant and semi-finalist of the project, Elmira Gubaidulina.
    • Igor Shiyanov (Stavropol). Reached the semi-finals, but did not make it to the top ten finalists.
    • Rezeda Marselevna Akhmedova (Kazan). A girl with a “flowery” name, as one of the judges called her. Rezeda successfully passed the casting in Kazan and already at the preliminary stages of the competition she sang not in a duet, but in a quartet. She was invited to a country hotel along with hundreds of lucky people from all over the country, but after the first test (performing the hit “Paint Fair” in the top five), she got lost in the crowd and was expelled.
    • Agnia Pasechnik (Kazan). Subsequently she worked as a VJ on the Muz-TV channel. I reached twenty in the project.
    • Pynina Dina ( Nizhny Novgorod). The “biggest” participant in the project. After successfully passing the casting in her city, she was invited to the next stage of the project in Moscow with the condition that she would try to lose as much weight as possible. However, the jury considered that not only did she not lose weight, but on the contrary, she gained more weight and after the next dance stage of the competition, she left the project.
    • Sokolov Oleg (Moscow). Reached the top fifty. Received the nickname “Yampolsky’s shadow” from the film crew of the project, as he always followed the “shadow” of another prominent participant in the project, Anton Yampolsky.
    • Platonova Zhanna (Moscow). She successfully passed the Moscow casting and was among hundreds of lucky people from all over the country who got to the next stage of casting at a country hotel. However, then her nerves began to fail her and after the next stage Zhanna fell ill in her room and was almost taken away by an ambulance, but Zhanna still decided to continue the fight. She made it to thirty and was expelled after an interview test, where she answered a journalist’s question that giving up smoking was a heroic feat for her.
    • Anastasia Donets ( Rostov region, Novopoltavsky village). Despite the fact that Anastasia did not even make it to the top twenty semi-finalists, she was certainly remembered by all viewers of the project without exception, and at the final gala concert she received a trip to Paris as the audience choice prize.
    • Andrey Lysyakov (Kazan). I got into the project on my second try. Having not passed the casting in his city, he followed the film crew further. As a result, the jury members recognized him and allowed him into the competition. Andrey was one of the hundred participants invited to Moscow. He constantly communicated and stayed with the so-called “Kazan crowd” of the project (the Sharafutdinov brothers, Kamilla Tutaeva, Elmira Gubaidulina, Ksenia Bykova). The author of the words of a kind of anthem for the project, created in collaboration with Kirill Sharafutdinov, which the participants performed at the final stage of the competition, when twenty applicants remained for a place in the group. He was invited to Moscow, where, like the band members, he signed a contract with a record company as the author of the song “Sing like the last time.”
    • Robert Pertaya (St. Petersburg). Made it to the top thirty. He stood out from all the other participants with his small stature and fatness, but despite this he moved well and stayed in the project longer than all the overweight people.
    • Elmira Gubaidulina (Rostov)
    • Dmitry Deryabin (Moscow). He received the nickname “bright red Dmitry.” Just like another participant in the project, Roman Beresnev (who eventually ended up in the group), Dmitry has bright red hair. He successfully passed the selection in Moscow and was invited to the next stage of the show in a country hotel. Having successfully completed several stages already there, Dmitry found himself in the top five together with Roman during one of the competition tasks, where the comparison turned out to be not in Deryabin’s favor and as a result he had to leave the project. Made it to the top thirty.
    • Sergey Obosyan (Moscow). On the project he received the nickname “the eternally dissatisfied Sergei.” He actively commented on all the shortcomings of the project organization and the inconveniences of being in isolation. He was one of the lucky one hundred invited to the next stage of selection at a hotel near Moscow, but dropped out after a dance competition. After the project, he continued to actively conquer domestic show business. Was involved in organizing concerts for a long time collaborated with Laima Vaikule as a backing vocalist in her show.
    • Vladislav Oganov (Moscow). In the project I made it into the top 100, but then was eliminated in the first selection. Just like Panayotov and Chernyshova on next year I went to conquer the “People’s Artist” project, but there I could only get into the top thirty.
    • Anton Yampolsky (later participated in the fourth season of the TV project “Star Factory”). I was among the top ten finalists for the project.
    • Olga Makovetskaya. Subsequently she became a famous singer with solo program. She was among the top ten finalists for the project.
    • Pavel Isaev. The only participant who managed to outwit all the organizers of the project without exception and get into the hundred finalists while being seventeen years old. Pavel in three different on the forms indicated a date of birth different from the passport. Despite this, he was one of the hundred lucky ones invited to Moscow and managed to “survive” several stages already there. "Other Rules" is a group that was incredibly popular in the early 2000s. Do you know the first and last names of the team members? Or maybe you are interested in their biography? The necessary information is in the article. We wish you pleasant reading!

    History of creation

In September 2002, the “Be a Star” musical project, an analogue of the world-famous PopStars show, was launched on the Rossiya TV channel. Thousands of ordinary girls and boys came to the casting, coming from different parts of our country.

From the age of 5 she participated in music competitions and festivals. She never studied vocals. I just loved to sing. But Jeannette graduated from music school. For several years the mulatto studied piano. The teachers praised her. The girl also graduated from the academic school at the Moscow Conservatory.

Jeannette's main calling is music. “Other Rules” is the project that allowed her to show her abilities and realize herself creatively. But in 2003, she left the team to pursue a solo career.

    Alena Selezneva

She was born in 1985 in the town of Tosno, in the Leningrad region. Since childhood, I studied ballroom dancing and attended a music studio. Alena participated in various competitions and programs, including the famous “Morning Star”.

    Roman Beresnev

This fashionable and smiling guy was born in Dresden (Germany). A few months later his family returned to Russia. At the age of 9, Roman was accepted into the children's theater troupe, in the vocal department. After some time, he began to participate in local and regional amateur competitions. Often the boy took prizes.

    Karina Akhmetzaripova

A native of Ufa, she dreamed of becoming a famous singer since childhood.

From an early age the boy studied dancing and music. He mastered instruments such as the balalaika and guitar. In April 2016, Alexey left this world. The circumstances of his death have not been disclosed. Ignatov left behind a son and wife.

    Performances

In 2003, the guys released their debut album “Fly!

In the end, they took only one girl - Sofia Ignatova, the former lead singer of the Party group. With her appearance, the team received a second wind. Together with Alena, the team recorded the album “Push Off - We Attract.” It turned out to be quite successful.

    Finally

“Other Rules” is a group that has made a certain contribution to the development of Russian pop music. All the guys who performed as part of this group are talented performers and comprehensively developed personalities. We wish them further success and happiness in their personal lives!

Rapid popularity, close public attention, as well as a grueling tour schedule - the guys lived with all this for several months.

In 2003, the guys released the album “Fly!”, and then disappeared from the press for a long time.

The break in the creative activity of “Other Rules” was caused by changes in the composition of the group. The group has changed – both internally and externally! Karina and Zhannette left “Other Rules”, and the remaining members of the group were joined by Sofya Ignatova, who has been a soloist in the “Party” group for the past few years. The girl brought a fresh note to the group. “Different Rules” have really matured and their voices have taken on a new coloration.

The result of the group’s creative search was the long-awaited album “Push-Push-Attract”, which is radically different from the previous record.

Currently, the group “Other Rules” is working on new material, preparing for the filming of a new video, and for a new photo shoot.
