Ukrainian Post is a state operator whose specialty is domestic and international delivery of postal items of various formats, weights and delivery addresses. Due to computerization of mail, the client knows where the package is.

Each shipment, incl. registered letters are assigned a unique track code. Issued to the sender after complete packaging and payment for all services. This number is sent to the recipient to track the location of the order.

The dispatch of goods is traced in a similar way, i.e. via the number on the receipt. The recipient or sender just needs to enter it into the form and click the “track” button. To obtain information about the status of the parcel by full name, this will be available only after the item is delivered to the post office.

Short system response codes

Delivery conditions are agreed upon, the supplier sends the ordered products to the client. The customer is recommended to request the track code included in the receipt issued by the postal operator. Aliexpress, EBAY, Rozetka, Molly companies provide the code without reminders. Types of codes for tracking postal items

Ukrposhta tracking - two types of formats:

Important: To receive a parcel or letter of notification, you must have your passport with you. If an official representative acts on behalf of the recipient, then a passport and the corresponding power of attorney are presented.

If there is no parcel at the recipient's address, the citizen has the right to file a complaint. The deadline for accepting a claim is six months from the date of sending the letter. To carry out search activities, 60 days are allotted from the date of registration of the application. After this period, an official letter of the results is sent to the consignee.

Types of statuses and explanation

Ukrainian Post is a computerized system. Thanks to the timely entry of information by the operator, the recipient of the parcel always knows where the order is. In view of this, there are several status options:

  • « Exit with index No.***» outside Ukraine. The format indicates that the item has left the state and is headed to another country. You can track your shipment through the UGPPS “UkrPost” if the letter is still on Ukrainian territory. You can obtain detailed information about delivery through the postal operator in the country of destination;
  • « Handed personally to the addressee" This status means that the parcel is moving from one region of Ukraine to another. After 12-24 hours, you can repeat the request and receive reliable information about the location of the shipment;
  • « Parcel No.*** was transferred (date***) to post office No.***" This information indicates the receipt by the post office of a parcel, letter or other type of item. At this time, orders cannot be delivered in person. For the recipient, this is a signal to visit the post office and pick up the package;
  • « There is no information about shipping using track code No. ***" This can be explained by several situations. First, you need to check the correctness of the information entered. There may have been an error when entering the track number. If the code is entered correctly, the status says that the parcel has not yet been registered in the database. You can receive detailed information within one business day. When sending internationally to the consignee, the status informs that the parcel has not yet crossed the country's borders.

Attention: the rules of UkrPoshta indicate that the procedure for registering a shipment within 24 hours from the moment of arrival at the warehouse.

To receive a parcel, parcel, registered letter or other shipment, the client must provide identification documents:

  • Ukrainian passport;
  • international passport;
  • military ID;
  • certificate of release;
  • driver license;
  • another document temporarily replacing a citizen’s passport.

It is allowed to receive postal items with a photocopy of a passport certified by a notary office. Relatives, friends or other trusted persons can receive the parcel for the consignee. To do this, it is necessary to issue a power of attorney in accordance with the current legislation of Ukraine.

How to track by parcel number?

It is very simple to track the transportation and delivery of a parcel by Ukrposhta: to do this, you need to enter the barcode identifier in the “#Tracking Number” box. It contains 13 characters, including letters and numbers. You can find this identifier or alphanumeric number of the postal item on your payment document. When introducing, pay attention to the fact that capital letters must be used. After entering it, click on the “Track” button or the “Enter” key.

What are the tracking numbers?

In order to track the parcel by number, you need to know the track number. This number is assigned to each parcel in accordance with the S10 standard of the Universal Postal Union. It may contain only numbers if the shipment is carried out within Ukraine, or contain alphanumeric characters when the shipment is international. The track number consists of 13 characters. The first are the letters R and C. The Latin letter R is used to mark small packages, and the Latin letter C is used to mark parcels. The second character will be any letter of the Latin alphabet, ensuring the uniqueness of the number. The next nine characters are numbers. The last two characters are Latin letters indicating the country code in S10 format, for example, for Ukraine these are the letters UA.

Payment option

Payment for the transportation and delivery of a package, letter or parcel by Ukrposhta is made in cash upon dispatch. It is also possible to pay for delivery by the recipient.

C.O.D

When sending a parcel, you can order cash on delivery. This means that the recipient, in order to pick up the parcel, will have to pay its cost. The cost of the package indicated by the sender when sending the package or parcel, after payment by the recipient, will be returned to the sender.

Amount to be paid

Upon receipt of the parcel or package, an employee of the Ukrainian postal operator will tell you the amount to pay. It includes the amount of cash on delivery (if specified), as well as the cost of delivery of the package or parcel by Ukrposhta. The amount to be paid will be calculated in hryvnias.

Deciphering the tracking status of parcels and letters

When tracking a shipment by the Ukrainian postal operator, the following status options are possible:

  1. The parcel with the index *** leaves the territory of Ukraine. This status means that the wanted shipment has left the territory of Ukraine for another state. Please note that tracking shipments through UGPPS “Ukrposhta” is possible only when the parcel is located on the territory of Ukraine. To find out information about sending a parcel outside of Ukraine, you need to contact the postal operator of the destination country.
  2. Delivered to the addressee (recipient) in person. This status means that the parcel or package was delivered to the recipient, he signed for its receipt, and also paid its cost and delivery costs.
  3. It is in the process of being processed. This status indicates that the shipment is moving across the territory of Ukraine. After a short period of time, for example, after 12 hours or a day, it will be possible to check its location.
  4. The shipment *** was transferred *** to the postal facility ***. Not currently served. This status means that the parcel or package has already arrived at the warehouse of the specified post office, but has not yet been delivered to the recipient. This status is a signal that the recipient needs to come to the post office and pick up his parcel or package.
  5. Data on shipment to number *** is currently not available, as it is not registered in the system. A similar status can exist in several situations. To begin, carefully check the track number you entered in the “# Tracking Number” box. Perhaps you made a mistake and the track number you entered does not exist. If you entered everything correctly, then it is possible that the parcel has not yet been registered in the Ukrposhta database. According to the rules of the Ukrainian postal operator, the parcel is registered within 24 hours from the moment of its arrival at the department’s warehouse. How can I track it by number in this case? To do this, repeat the procedure for tracking the parcel by number after 1 business day. If the parcel or package was sent from abroad, then most likely it has not yet crossed the border of Ukraine and you should wait a little.

How to receive a parcel or package?

In order to receive a parcel or postal item, you need to come to the Ukrposhta branch indicated in the destination and present a document proving your identity. This may be a passport of a citizen of Ukraine, a foreign passport, a military ID, a certificate of release or another identity document that temporarily replaces a passport. Your relatives and friends can receive the parcel for you if you issue a power of attorney to receive mail in accordance with the procedure established by law.

    1. The parcel number was entered incorrectly or with errors. We recommend that you carefully check the entered number and try to track it again.

    2. For parcels sent within Ukraine - your parcel was sent less than 2 days ago. On average, postal items are registered within 2-3 days after dispatch, so we recommend tracking your parcel a little later.

    3. For international parcels heading to Ukraine - your parcel either has not yet arrived in Ukraine or has not passed customs inspection, so the carrier does not have any data about it. Before importing to Ukraine, we recommend tracking the parcel on the website of the sending country. Upon arrival in the destination country, it will become available for tracking by Ukrposhta.
