Introduction

Since the 60s of the last century, a scientific and technical breakthrough in science and technology began. It was at that time that the first computers and radiotelephones were invented, and the first satellite communications were developed and launched. In parallel with these innovations, the number of sources of electromagnetic radiation common at that time increased: radar stations; radio relay stations; television towers. Around the same time, advanced industrial countries began to become interested in the effects of electromagnetic radiation on human health.

The greatest danger to humans is the influence of electromagnetic radiation with a frequency of 40 - 70 GHz, which is due to the commensurability of the length of electromagnetic waves with the size of human cells.

Over the past 20 years, the number of devices and devices using electricity in the world has increased a thousand times. Now electronics, which we can no longer do without, accompany us around the clock both at work and at leisure. Televisions, microwave ovens, mobile phones, computers, on the one hand, help us, but on the other hand, they pose an invisible but sure threat to our health - electromagnetic smog - a set of EM radiation from man-made instruments and devices. Most people are exposed to EMFs of varying levels and frequencies every day at work and at home.

As a result of experiments, scientists have established that electromagnetic waves are capable of interacting with living organisms and transferring their energy to them. Now it’s no secret to anyone that a person is capable of absorbing the energy of electromagnetic waves of a wide range of frequencies, which subsequently leads to heating of living structures and cell death. Scientists propose recognizing the impact of the electromagnetic field on human health as one of the most dangerous factors and taking strict measures to protect the world's population.

That is why the problem of the impact of electromagnetic fields on the human body is very relevant to date.

Purpose of the research work is to attract public attention to the problem of the influence of electromagnetic radiation on human health.

Objectives of the research work:

1. Study the influence of the electromagnetic field on the human body.

2. Identify the main harmful factors of the influence of a computer and mobile phone on the human body.

3. Conduct your own research.

4. Based on the results of the study, develop important recommendations for eliminating or reducing the impact of electromagnetic fields on human health.

5. Use the received material for events to promote a healthy lifestyle as part of the college-wide project “Young Doctor”.

  1. Mechanism of influence of electromagnetic radiation

Experimental data from both domestic and foreign researchers indicate high biological activity of electromagnetic fields in all frequency ranges. At relatively high levels of the irradiating electromagnetic field, modern theory recognizes a thermal mechanism of action. At a relatively low level, it is customary to talk about the non-thermal or informational nature of the impact on the body. The mechanisms of action of EMF in this case are still poorly understood.

The biological response is influenced by the following parameters of the electromagnetic field: intensity of the electromagnetic field; radiation frequency; duration of irradiation; signal modulation; combination of frequencies of electromagnetic fields; frequency of action.

The combination of the above parameters can give significantly different consequences for the reaction of the irradiated biological object. Electromagnetic radiation can be especially dangerous for children, pregnant women, people with diseases of the central nervous, hormonal, cardiovascular systems, allergy sufferers, and people with weakened immune systems. Persons who have been in the area of EM radiation for a long time complain of weakness, irritability, fatigue, weakened memory, and sleep disturbances.

At the moment, science has proven the connection: in places where people are exposed to electromagnetic radiation, cancer and disorders of the cardiovascular and autonomic nervous systems are more often detected.

It is clear to everyone that electromagnetic radiation poses a real threat to human health. It turns out that electromagnetic and radiation fields are close in some of their parameters. This has been proven by both Russian and foreign scientists. Research conducted in these areas is very promising; their results are now even difficult to imagine and evaluate.

As for EM radiation, it has the greatest impact on the immune, nervous, endocrine and reproductive systems.

Numerous studies in the field of the biological effects of electromagnetic fields have identified the most sensitive systems of the body: nervous, immune, endocrine, and reproductive. The biological effect of electromagnetic fields under conditions of long-term exposure accumulates, as a result of which the development of long-term consequences is possible - degenerative processes in the central nervous system, neoplasms, hormonal diseases. Children, pregnant women, and people with disorders in the cardiovascular, hormonal, nervous, and immune systems are especially sensitive to electromagnetic fields.

Effect on the nervous system. The transmission of nerve impulses is disrupted. As a result, autonomic dysfunctions (neurasthenic and asthenic syndrome), complaints of weakness, irritability, fatigue, and sleep disturbances appear; Higher nervous activity is disrupted - memory loss, tendency to develop stress reactions.

Effect on the cardiovascular system. Disturbances in the activity of this system are manifested, as a rule, by lability of pulse and blood pressure, a tendency to hypotension, and pain in the heart area. In the blood there is a moderate decrease in the number of leukocytes and erythrocytes.

Effect on the immune and endocrine systems. It has been established that when exposed to EMF, immunogenesis is disrupted, often in the direction of inhibition. In animal organisms irradiated with EMF, the course of the infectious process is aggravated. The influence of high-intensity electromagnetic fields is manifested in a suppressive effect on the T-system of cellular immunity. Under the influence of electromagnetic fields, the production of adrenaline increases, blood clotting is activated, and the activity of the pituitary gland decreases.

Effect on the reproductive system. Many scientists classify electromagnetic fields as teratogenic factors. The most vulnerable periods are usually the early stages of embryonic development. A woman's exposure to electromagnetic radiation can lead to premature birth, affect the development of the fetus and, finally, increase the risk of congenital deformities.

These are the consequences of exposure to EM radiation. Protective measures include regular walks in the fresh air, ventilating the room, playing sports, following basic work rules, and working with good equipment that meets all safety and sanitary standards.

2. The influence of electromagnetic rays emanating from cell phones on the human body

Research by Swedish scientists has shown that cell phone users (especially owners of older analog models) are at risk of developing brain tumors.

The tumor most often appears on the side of the head where the speaker places the pipe. It is this part that is most exposed to telephone microwaves. This conclusion is contained in a study, the results of which were published in an online review of the popular medical journal MedGenMed.

13 patients studied, suffering from malignant or benign brain tumors (with the exception of one), were exposed to microwaves emitted by phones for a long time. Moreover, they all used old analog mobile devices, which have a more powerful output signal compared to new models.

“As cell phones become more widespread—and many older, high-signal devices continue to be used—larger-scale studies are needed to identify causes and assess the likelihood of disease,” said MedGenMed editor-in-chief Dr. George Lundberg.

The report, “Study of work activity in conditions of electromagnetic radiation, the influence of medical X-rays and the use of cell phones on the occurrence of brain tumors,” was based on a two-year study of 233 patients with tumors in the brain. For the analysis, people of the same sex and age living in the same area were selected in two regions of Sweden. Based on the results of the analysis, the main risk factors for cancer were identified.

Compared to any other household or office equipment, a mobile phone is more harmful because... creates at the moment of conversation a powerful stream of electromagnetic radiation directed directly to the head. Electromagnetic radiation of the radio frequency range generated by the tube is absorbed by the tissues of the head, in particular, by the tissues of the brain, the retina of the eye, the structures of the visual, vestibular and auditory analyzers, and the radiation acts both directly on individual organs and structures, and indirectly, through a conductor, on the nervous system . Scientists have proven that when electromagnetic waves penetrate tissues, they cause heating. Over time, this adversely affects the functioning of the entire body, in particular, the functioning of the nervous, cardiovascular, and endocrine systems; electromagnetic waves have a detrimental effect on vision. Studies conducted in Russia have shown the negative impact of the electromagnetic fields of a working mobile phone on the lens of the eye, blood composition and sexual function of mice and rats. Moreover, these changes were irreversible even after exposure to them for more than 2 weeks. If you use your mobile phone as a regular home phone, that is, indefinitely, your immunity is at serious risk.

Scientists warn that children who use mobile phones are at increased risk of memory and sleep disorders.

The effect of harmful electromagnetic radiation is similar to radio interference, the radiation disrupts the stability of body cells, disrupts the functioning of the nervous system, causing headaches, memory loss and sleep disorders. Even the most ordinary non-working mobile phone, if it is just lying next to your bed, can prevent you from getting enough sleep. The fact is that electromagnetic radiation from a mobile phone, even in standby mode, negatively affects the central nervous system, disrupting the normal alternation of sleep phases. As it turns out, it’s not just electromagnetic radiation from a phone that can pose a danger to human health. More recently, a new round of debate on this topic was caused by events in China, where several people were injured by a lightning strike on a cell phone. In France, the meteorological service also warned all residents of the country that it is dangerous to use mobile phones during a thunderstorm, since “they are conductors of electrical discharge and can cause lightning to strike a person.” At the same time, you don’t have to call on it; it is enough that it is turned on. In Sweden, they officially recognized the existence of allergies to mobile phones and took an unprecedented step: all mobile allergy sufferers can receive a substantial amount from the budget (about 250 thousand dollars) and move to remote areas of the country where there is no cellular communication or television. In Russia, a national program to study the harmful effects of mobile phones on human health should be adopted in the near future. However, “one must understand that the study of long-term consequences will take more than one year. We will be able to put an end to the discussion about the degree of harmful effects of cellular communications only in a couple of decades.” Indeed, in the immediate vicinity of the most important human organs, when talking on a mobile phone, electromagnetic energy is emitted, the power of which is greatest in the near zone. The same energy is emitted that rotates electric motors and cooks chicken in the microwave. Naturally, this energy penetrates the head and affects the brain and other human organs. Therefore, we should expect some kind of response from them to this impact. Moreover, this reaction can be either immediate, simultaneous with the impact, or delayed and appear later, perhaps after hours, days and years. In this case, it is necessary to take into account many factors: a person’s age, the presence of pathologies, his heredity, physiological state in general and, especially when using a mobile phone, time of day, seasonal phenomena, temperature, atmospheric pressure, phase of the moon, the presence of drugs and alcohol in blood, type and brand of mobile phone, cellular standard, call duration, frequency of calls, number of calls per day, per month, etc., etc. It is also necessary to add: the size and shape of the ears, the shape and material of the earrings, the presence and composition of dust on the ears and behind the ears, etc.

Today, mobile phone manufacturers warn users on the devices themselves or in passports about possible harmful effects (they were finally forced!) and always indicate the relative power level of electromagnetic radiation SAR (Specific Absorption Rate) measured in watts per kilogram of human brain mass. In most countries, the maximum permissible level is 1.6 W/kg. And now you won’t find cell phones with SAR levels greater than 2 W/kg. About 5 years ago, the first cell phones of the old standards had more powerful transmitters and significantly exceeded these levels, but now these values are usually less than 1.5 W/kg, and the most advanced ones have this value below 0.5 W/kg. An expert of the Ecology Committee of the State Duma of the Russian Federation, candidate of physical and mathematical sciences A.Yu. Somov scientifically proved that of the 32 cell phones he tested, not a single one meets the stated safety criteria.

Due to the widespread use of cellular communications, the problem of the influence of the electromagnetic field (EMF) of a cell phone on the human body is currently relevant. The largest group of cell phone users are children and adolescents, whose bodies are most sensitive to various adverse environmental factors.

It is known that a cell phone at rest periodically emits short bursts of radiation to communicate with the base station. Scientists have suggested that this EMF also affects the physiological and biochemical parameters of the human body.

We can conclude that electromagnetic radiation from a mobile phone has such a strong effect on the human body that even healthy cells die.

3. The influence of the computer on the health of a teenager

Microwave ovens operate mainly for a short time (on average from 1 to 7 minutes), televisions cause significant harm only when located at a close distance from viewers. Against this background, the problem of electromagnetic radiation from a PC, that is, the influence of computers on the human body, becomes quite acute due to several reasons. The computer has two sources of electromagnetic radiation (monitor and system unit).

The duration of work at a computer for modern users can be more than 12 hours, with official regulations prohibiting working on a computer for more than 6 hours a day (after all, in addition to the working day, a person often sits at a computer in the evenings).

In addition, there are several secondary factors that aggravate the situation, these include working in a cramped, unventilated room and the concentration of many PCs in one place. The monitor, especially its side and rear walls, is a very powerful source of EMR. And although every year more and more stringent standards are adopted to limit the radiation power of the monitor, this only leads to the application of a better protective coating on the front part of the screen, and the side and back panels still remain powerful sources of radiation. According to recent studies, the human body is most sensitive to the electromagnetic field located at frequencies of 40 - 70 GHz, since the wavelengths at these frequencies are comparable to the size of cells and a small level of the electromagnetic field is enough to cause significant damage to human health. A distinctive feature of modern computers is an increase in the operating frequencies of the central processor and peripheral devices, as well as an increase in power consumption to 400 - 500 W. As a result, the level of radiation from the system unit at frequencies of 40 - 70 GHz has increased thousands of times over the past 2 - 3 years and has become a much more serious problem than radiation from the monitor.

Increased electromagnetic background largely ensures the impact of PC on human health. As a result of prolonged work at the computer for several days, a person feels tired, becomes extremely irritable, often answers questions with unambiguous answers, and wants to lie down. This phenomenon in modern society is called chronic fatigue syndrome and, according to official medicine, cannot be treated.

Today, at least 3 main types of influence of a computer on a person are known.

First view

Second type

Third type

consists of disruption of the functioning of certain body systems due to sedentary work. This significantly affected the musculoskeletal, muscular, and circulatory systems.

consists in concentrating the user’s attention on the monitor screen for a long period of time, that is, harm to the computer can manifest itself in various problems with the visual system.

consists of harmful electromagnetic radiation, which, according to recent research in this area, may be one of the most dangerous factors for human health

And although over the past 10 years, manufacturers have significantly reduced the level of radiation from the front of the monitor, there are still side and rear panels, as well as the system unit, the power and operating frequencies of which are constantly increasing, and, consequently, the level of dangerous high-frequency electromagnetic radiation is also increasing .

Electromagnetic radiation has the greatest impact on the immune, nervous, endocrine and reproductive systems. No scientist or doctor is now able to name all the consequences and symptoms. At the moment, this threat is considered much more dangerous than the effects of half-life products and heavy metals after the Chernobyl accident.

Under the influence of radiation coming from the monitor, the graininess of the image and the convexity of the monitor screen, computer scientists experience irreversible changes in the cornea of the eye. Visually, a person observes a change in the shape of objects, blurred edges, doubling of small images. This disease is not curable, since all currently performed operations correct the imperfections of the optical system of the eye by affecting the cornea, while this disease affects the cornea. Ultimately, this disease leads to blindness. Research has shown that 75% of operators suffer from one or more permanent visual impairments or eye diseases.

The main problems associated with protecting the health of people using computer-based automated information systems in their work arise from displays (monitors), especially with cathode ray tubes. They are sources of the most harmful radiation that adversely affect the health of operators.

Special measurements have shown that the monitors actually emit magnetic waves, the intensity of which is not inferior to the levels of magnetic fields that can cause tumors in humans.

Even more serious results were obtained when examining pregnant women. Those who spent at least 20 hours a week on computer screens were 80% more likely to have a premature pregnancy loss (miscarriage) than those who performed similar work without using a computer.

Technical characteristics of displays (resolution, brightness, contrast, refresh rate or flickering), if they are not paid attention to when choosing a device or are installed incorrectly, can have an extremely negative impact on vision.

Protective measures include regular walks in the fresh air, ventilating the room, playing sports, exercising your eyes, following the rules of working at the computer, working with good equipment that meets existing safety and sanitary standards. It is important to know the rules of working on a computer.

    Materials and results of our own research.

To obtain data on the impact of using a mobile phone and working on a PC on human health, a study was conducted, the main methods of which were questionnaires and measurement of physiological parameters of a person’s condition (pulse and blood pressure). The study involved 1-2 year students of Borisoglebsk Medical College - 158 people. Of the respondents, 88 people were in the 1st year (55.7%) and 70 people were in the 2nd year (44.3%). Based on the results of the study, a conclusion was made about the impact of mobile phones and computers on health. (Appendix 2, Appendix 3)

All participants in the experiment were preliminarily surveyed, as a result of which they found out their age, frequency and duration of cell phone use.

Students were asked to answer the following questions:

1) how often during the day you talking By mobile phone?

2) how for a long time during the day you talking By mobile phone?

3) how often You exchanges By SMS messages?

Based on the results of the study, it is important to develop the necessary recommendations for eliminating or reducing the impact of electromagnetic fields on human health.

It was found that 41% of respondents talk on the phone very often (more than 4 times a day), 26% - often (3-4 times a day), 15% - 1-2 times a day, 18% - rarely .

According to the results of the study, it was also found that 44.4% talk on a mobile phone for more than 10 minutes, 40.8% - 5-10 minutes and 14.8% - 1-3 minutes. At the same time, 64% of respondents are convinced of the negative impact of mobile phones on human health. The indicator of students' correspondence with SMS messages was also identified. As a result, it was found that 89.0% exchange SMS messages very often during the day (constant communication in chats, VKontakte), 10% often, 1% rarely (1-2 times a day).

A survey conducted before the start of the experiment with all participants showed that the subjects had approximately the same level of health and physical fitness. The average duration of cell phone conversations among participants in the experiment was about 20 minutes per day.

At the beginning of the experiment, subjects measured their heart rate and blood pressure. After talking on the phone, the same actions were performed. (Appendix 3)

A significant increase in heart rate by 9% was revealed and a significant difference in systolic pressure after 5 minutes of telephone conversation was found by 7-8%.

A change in pulse rate is a universal operational neurohumoral response of the entire organism to any influences from the external and internal environment. The pulse rate can increase under stress, nervous excitement, increased emotional and physical stress, increased temperature, and various heart diseases.

An increase in heart rate indicates the greatest vulnerability of the cardiovascular system of the subjects in relation to EMF of mobile communications. This indicates the adverse effects of EMR (electromagnetic radiation) from mobile communications.

In general, having analyzed the changes in the studied physiological indicators, we can say that the young body is most susceptible to the adverse effects of EMR from cell phones, and therefore the duration of mobile phone conversations of children and adolescents should be limited and the cell phone should be used only in cases of urgent need.

The studies showed:

Especially often, when working at a computer, respondents noted headaches, pain in the lumbar spine, pain in the neck and shoulder girdle, pain in the thoracic spine, in the hand, in the elbow joint, sleep disturbances and dizziness;

- almost half of the students working on PCs, regardless of age group, reported problems with vision.

When using the phone, headaches, increased temperature in the ear area, vision problems (especially at night with constant communication on VKontakte)

All indicators indicating discomfort of the central nervous system (sleep disturbances, dizziness, headaches) tend to increase as the time spent on the PC increases. A similar trend is observed with signs of visual impairment.

Research findings

Based on the results of the study, we offer the following recommendations:

To eliminate or reduce the levels of exposure to EMFs on the human body, it is important to follow a number of important recommendations:

    do not use a cell phone unless necessary and talk continuously for no more than 3-4 minutes;

    When purchasing, choose a cell phone with a lower maximum radiation power.

    avoid long stays in places with high levels of industrial frequency magnetic fields;

    correctly place lounge furniture at a distance of 2-3 meters from electrical distribution boards, power cables, and electrical appliances;

    When purchasing household appliances, pay attention to information about the device’s compliance with sanitary standards;

    use devices of lower electrical power;

    follow sanitary and hygienic standards and rules when working with a PC;

Electromagnetic radiation (EMR) accompanies modern man everywhere. Any technique whose action is based on electricity emits waves of energy. Some types of such radiation are constantly talked about - radiation, ultraviolet and radiation, the danger of which has long been known to everyone. But people try not to think about the impact of electromagnetic fields on the human body, if it occurs due to a working TV or smartphone.

Types of electromagnetic radiation

Before describing the danger of this or that type of radiation, it is necessary to understand what we are talking about. A school physics course teaches that energy travels in the form of waves. Depending on their frequency and length, a large number of types of radiation are distinguished. So electromagnetic waves include:

  1. High frequency radiation. It includes X-rays and gamma rays. They are also known as ionizing radiation.
  2. Mid-frequency radiation. This is the visible spectrum, which people perceive as light. In the upper and lower frequency scales there are ultraviolet and infrared radiation.
  3. Low frequency radiation. This includes radio and microwaves.

To explain the effect of electromagnetic radiation on the human body, all these types are divided into 2 large categories - ionizing and non-ionizing radiation. The difference between them is quite simple:

  • Ionizing radiation affects the atomic structure of matter. Because of this, the cell structure of biological organisms is disrupted, DNA is modified, and tumors appear.
  • Non-ionizing radiation has long been considered harmless. But recent research by scientists demonstrates that with high power and prolonged exposure, it is no less dangerous to health.

EMR sources

Non-ionizing electromagnetic fields and radiation surround humans everywhere. They are emitted by any electronic equipment. In addition, we must not forget about power lines through which powerful charges of electricity pass. EMR is also emitted by transformers, elevators and other technical devices that provide comfortable living conditions.

Thus, it is enough to turn on the TV or talk on the phone for sources of electromagnetic radiation to begin to affect the body. Even something as seemingly safe as an electronic alarm clock can affect your health over time.

Devices measuring EMR

To determine how strongly a particular source of EMR affects the body, instruments are used to measure electromagnetic fields. The simplest and most widely known is the indicator screwdriver. The LED at its end burns brighter with a powerful radiation source.

There are also professional devices - flux meters. Such an electromagnetic radiation detector is able to determine the power of the source and provide its numerical characteristics. They can then be recorded on a computer and processed using various examples of measured quantities and frequencies.

For humans, according to Russian Federation standards, an EMR dose of 0.2 µT is considered safe.

More accurate and detailed tables are presented in GOSTs and SanPiNs. In them you can find formulas with which you can calculate how dangerous the EMR source is and how to measure electromagnetic radiation depending on the location of the equipment and the size of the room.

If radiation is measured in R/h (the number of roentgens per hour), then EMR is measured in V/m2 (volts per square meter of area). The following indicators are considered a safe norm for humans, depending on the wave frequency, measured in hertz:

  • up to 300 kHz – 25 V/m2;
  • 3 MHz – 15 V/m2;
  • 30 MHz – 10 V/m2;
  • 300 MHz – 3 V/m2;
  • Above 0.3 GHz – 10 µV/cm2.

It is thanks to the measurements of these indicators that the safety of a particular EMR source for humans is determined.

How does electromagnetic radiation affect humans?

Considering that many people have been in constant contact with electrical devices since childhood, a logical question arises: is EMR really that dangerous? Unlike radiation, it does not lead to radiation sickness and its effect is invisible. And is it worth complying with electromagnetic radiation standards?

Scientists also asked this question back in the 60s of the 20th century. More than 50 years of research have shown that the human electromagnetic field is modified by other radiation. This leads to the development of the so-called “radio wave disease”.

Extraneous electromagnetic radiation and interference disrupt the functioning of many organ systems. But the nervous and cardiovascular systems are the most sensitive to their effects.

According to statistics from recent years, about a third of the population is susceptible to radio wave sickness. It manifests itself through symptoms familiar to many:

  • depression;
  • chronic fatigue;
  • insomnia;
  • headache;
  • disturbances in concentration;
  • dizziness.

At the same time, the negative impact of electromagnetic radiation on human health is most dangerous because doctors still cannot diagnose it. After examination and tests, the patient goes home with the diagnosis: “Healthy!” At the same time, if nothing is done, the disease will develop and enter the chronic stage.

Each organ system will respond to electromagnetic stimulation differently. The central nervous system is most sensitive to the effects of electromagnetic fields on humans.

EMR impairs the passage of the signal through the neurons of the brain. As a result, this affects the functioning of the body as a whole.

Also, over time, negative consequences for the psyche appear - attention and memory are impaired, and in the worst cases, problems transform into delusions, hallucinations and suicidal tendencies.

The influence of electromagnetic waves on living organisms also has a large-scale effect through the circulatory system.

Red blood cells, platelets and other bodies have their own potentials. Under the influence of electromagnetic radiation on a person, they can stick together. As a result, blockage of blood vessels occurs and the transport function of blood deteriorates.

EMR also reduces the permeability of cell membranes. As a result, all tissues exposed to radiation do not receive the necessary oxygen and nutrients. In addition, the efficiency of hematopoietic functions decreases. The heart, in turn, reacts to this problem with arrhythmia and a drop in myocardial conductivity.

The influence of electromagnetic waves on the human body destroys the immune system. Due to the clumping of blood cells, lymphocytes and leukocytes become blocked. Accordingly, the infection simply does not meet resistance from defense systems. As a result, not only does the frequency of colds increase, but also an exacerbation of chronic ailments occurs.

Another consequence of harm from electromagnetic radiation is disruption of hormone production. The effect on the brain and circulatory system stimulates the work of the pituitary gland, adrenal glands and other glands.

The reproductive system is also sensitive to electromagnetic radiation, the effect on a person can be catastrophic. Given the disturbances in the production of hormones, potency in men decreases. But for women, the consequences are more serious - during the first trimester of pregnancy, a strong dose of radiation can lead to miscarriage. And if this does not happen, then a disturbance in the electromagnetic field can disrupt the normal process of cell division, damaging DNA. The result is pathologies of child development.

The effect of electromagnetic fields on the human body is destructive, which has been confirmed by numerous studies.

Considering that modern medicine can do practically nothing against radio wave disease, you must try to protect yourself on your own.

EMI protection

Taking into account all the possible harm that the influence of the electromagnetic field brings on living organisms, simple and reliable safety rules have been developed. In enterprises where people are constantly exposed to high levels of EMF, special protective shields and equipment are provided for workers.

But at home, sources of electromagnetic fields cannot be shielded in this way. At the very least it will be inconvenient. Therefore, you should understand how to protect yourself in other ways. There are only 3 rules that must be followed constantly in order to reduce the impact of the electromagnetic field on human health:

  1. Stay as far away from EMR sources as possible. For power lines, 25 meters is enough. And the screen of a monitor or TV is dangerous if it is located closer than 30 cm. It is enough to carry smartphones and tablets not in pockets, but in handbags or purses 3 cm from the body.
  2. Reduce the time of contact with EMR. This means that you do not need to stand for a long time near working sources of electromagnetic fields. Even if you want to supervise the cooking on an electric stove or warm up by the heater.
  3. Turn off electrical appliances that are not in use. This will not only reduce the level of electromagnetic radiation, but also help you save money on your energy bills.

You can also carry out a set of preventive measures to ensure that the impact of electromagnetic waves is minimal. For example, having measured the radiation power of various devices using a dosimeter, you need to record the EMF readings. The emitters can then be distributed throughout the room to reduce the load on certain areas of the area. It is also important to consider that the steel case shields EMI well.

Do not forget that electromagnetic radiation in the radio frequency range from communications equipment constantly affects human fields while these devices are turned on. Therefore, before going to bed and during work, it is better to put them away.

There are many ways to classify the health effects of electromagnetic radiation.

Here it is necessary to distinguish between biological changes (which are proven by experimental observations at the cellular level) and pathological effects (the generation or aggravation of diseases) proven by epidemiological studies.

The list of health effects of EMR presented here is actually only a small sampling of the large-scale studies currently reported in the scientific literature.

Biological Effects of Electromagnetic Radiation

Here are some of the biological changes studies have found to be caused by electromagnetic radiation (most recent data first):

Protein changes in the skin.

Ten women were asked to voluntarily participate in a study in which they were exposed to EMR (900 millihenry) via GSM cell phones for one hour. After the experiment, Scientists removed their skin cells for study in order to find any stress reactions. They examined 580 different proteins and found two that were significantly affected. (It was increased by 89%, while the other was decreased by 32%). Source - NewScientist Magazine, February 23, 2008.

How does EMR work?

Some scientists previously believed that the only way radiation could produce harmful effects was if it was intense enough to cause a heating effect on tissue. (It was previously reported that talking on a cell phone for half an hour can raise the temperature of the brain in the part of the head where the device was in contact with it).

Subsequently, this theory was sharply condemned by many studies, which proved that the intensity of EMR is not enough to cause harmful effects.

The mechanisms by which electromagnetic radiation can trigger diseases are not yet fully understood, but experiments on this issue are being actively conducted.

DNA damage.

Our cells have mechanisms that allow limited repair of damage caused to DNA, but it appears that EMR can disrupt these mechanisms. Damaged DNA is implicated in the development of several diseases, including various types of cancer.

Host cell protective antiviral mechanism (interference) with Melatonin production.

Electromagnetic radiation is introduced into the production of melatonin, a hormone produced in the human body. Low levels of melatonin have already been shown to be associated with several diseases, including cancer. (Recent research indicates that seratonin production may also be affected by EMR).

Influence on intercellular communications.

Our somatic cells communicate internally and externally through electrical signals. These signals can be altered by electromagnetic radiation through the production of electrical currents within the body, causing changes in both cellular activity and cellular structures.

The harmful effects of electromagnetic radiation on health may depend on...

We don't have all the answers at this stage, but clues from various studies indicate that the health effects of EDS may depend on:

EMR intensity.

Exposure to strong electromagnetic waves can cause harm, even for a short period of time.

In one study, pregnant volunteers were asked to wear a device that measured the highest intensity (peak) EMR over a 24-hour period. The results indicated that higher peak EMR levels were correlated with higher rates of health damage (miscarriage).

Cumulative effect of EMR.

During the day, a person is exposed to electromagnetic radiation of various frequencies. For example, they can come from electric shavers and hair dryers, from car, bus or train equipment, household items such as heaters, ovens and microwaves, neon lights, home wiring, power lines, and the carrying and use of a cell phone. These are the most common sources.

The combination of these effects can overwhelm the body's defenses and defense mechanisms.

Duration of EMP action.

Numerous studies indicate that health damage begins to be noticeable only after many years of exposure to EMR, such as from high voltage power lines or cell phones.

Transience of EMF.

The body experiences greater biological stress from exposure to EMR from devices with changeable, fluctuating work cycles (photocopier, printer, etc.) than from constant work.

EMF frequency.

It is still not known for certain which types of electromagnetic waves cause negative health effects, but it appears that different frequencies cause different negative effects.

Signal overlay.

To produce an analog or digital signal, an electromagnetic wave can be modulated in various ways. Where the wave is used for communications (for example, radio, television, mobile telephony, etc.), the signal is superimposed on the frequency of the carrier. There is evidence that, in some cases, the signal component may be more harmful than the carrier's EMR.

The medical dangers of EMR are real.

The danger to our health caused by high levels of man-made electromagnetic fields is real. This is the general conclusion reached by many of a growing number of responsible scientists and health care professionals.

Luckily, there are many ways to protect ourselves and our loved ones before our health is affected.

It is now absolutely known that electromagnetic fields can and do have a negative impact on your health.

If you are still skeptical, please study this article (Effects of EM Radiation on Human Health).

Aware means armed. If you are aware of the risks of EMR and protection strategies, then you can make the best choices to keep you and your loved ones healthy.

If you cannot follow all the recommendations below, at least do what you can.

In this case, everything helps.

General EMP Protection Rule #1

Reduce your exposure to EMR by increasing your distance from the radiation.

This is the most important rule for EMI protection, and often the easiest to apply.

How far you should move away from the source of radiation depends on its intensity. For example, to reduce the field intensity, you may have to move a distance:

25 meters for power lines and cell towers.

30 cm from your computer monitor

5 cm from the electric clock next to your pillow

2.5 cm from cell phone

Many people understand that they can increase their level of safety from EMR by moving a hundred meters further from power lines or cell towers, but few people think that at home they can protect themselves even more by placing a computer on the floor or moving the TV further away. further away from yourself and your children.

To understand what distance is safe for different types of devices, study here is this document, but keep in mind that the EMR of your devices may differ significantly from those shown in this list. If you have the opportunity to use a flux meter, it is better to take advantage of this opportunity.

General EMP Protection Rule No. 2

If you cannot avoid exposure to EMR, try to limit it as much as possible.

For many, it may have long become commonplace to see the working equipment at work, walk past and chat with colleagues near the office printers and copiers, or stand next to the oven while preparing lunch.

In all of these cases, as in many others, it would be better for your health to apply Rule #2.

General EMP Protection Rule #3

If there is no real need to turn on the device, turn it off (or do not turn it on).

EMI comes from many devices that people unwisely leave running, such as chargers (batteries, cell phones, laptops, etc.), as well as computers running in sleep mode and printers.

Turning off appliances also helps the planet and your wallet.

You should also be aware and aware of all sources of EMR in your environment, home or office. This may sound unusual compared to everyone's behavior, but this is the only responsible approach of a mature and knowledgeable person.

Also examine all the main sources of EMR in your home or apartment.

Pay attention to the location of the building in which you live. Power lines at a distance exceeding 400 meters are unlikely to have a serious impact on your health. If this distance is less, we recommend using a flux meter.

Local power lines (which supply electricity to your home) can also cause significant electromagnetic exposure.

Pay attention to the distance from your home to transformer buildings or technical substations. Electromagnetic radiation from local substations can radiate up to 5-10 meters. Do not allow children to play in this area.

400 meters is also the optimal distance to be safe from cell towers that you know are in your area.

While you are exploring the area, pay attention to how far you are from television and radio antennas. They can have much stronger radiation than cell towers.

Several studies have linked increased rates of cancer and leukemia to proximity to television antennas, especially very large and powerful ones, which increase cancer rates when located 3 to 5 kilometers away.

Unfortunately, there is no more effective defense than applying Rule #1

Protecting your home from EMP

In a house/apartment, sources of EMR are internal electrical wiring and from electrical appliances of all types.

Internal electrical wiring is significant and one of the main sources of EMI, but rarely does anyone think about it. Some companies offer examination for the presence of EMR in apartments.

Radiation protection for household appliances

When it comes to electrical appliances, some very common types of household appliances have quite high levels of EMI. Place them at a further distance from people, and remember that your communication with them should not be long.

If you use a device frequently or for a long time, it may make sense to find an alternative with a lower EMR level (for example, a laptop or phone).

For example, portable hair dryers often have high levels of EMR, but if you use it for just 1 minute a day, you are unlikely to suffer any serious effects.

However, if you are a hairdresser who uses a portable hair dryer for a total of approximately 60 minutes a day, then you should consider purchasing a low EMR hair dryer. The same applies to sewing machines.

Technology in the bedroom - or EMP protection in the bedroom

Try to identify your personal exposure to electromagnetic radiation. Pay special attention to those devices and equipment that you encounter most often during the day. Start with your bedroom, because this is where you spend approximately 8 hours a day, so even a small level of EMR in your bedroom can significantly harm your health.

Turn off electric blankets when not needed, or use the lowest setting. Keep electric clock/radio as far as possible from the sleeping person, preferably 60cm or more for networked devices. Even battery-operated clocks and radios with timers should not be near your head.

Pay attention to where electricity enters your home and the position of the main distribution box.

If it is in a bedroom, place the beds at least 1.5 meters away from it. The magnetic part of EMR will easily penetrate walls, so also think about what's on the other side of the wall.

Protection from cell phone radiation.

Cell phones are becoming a major biohazard, almost a weapon, perhaps as destructive as smoking. In order to reduce their negative impact, use alternative methods of communication (land lines) whenever possible.

Don't use cell phones for long conversations and think about others - don't keep them on the phone any longer than necessary.

Children, for the sake of their health, should be completely protected from cell phone use because their developing brains are especially vulnerable to cell phone EMR and their skulls are thinner.

EMP protection in the workplace.

If you spend a lot of time working in an office or manufacturing environment, try to stay at least 1.5 meters away from any electrical equipment, such as heaters and air conditioners, file servers or printers. Maintain the same distance from neon lamps or electrical wiring connections.

If you work at a computer for a long time, place it as far as possible from yourself (especially from your head), if cables allow. If possible, choose an LCD monitor over a ray tube monitor. Also stay as far away from it as possible, and at a distance that the length of the cables allows.

If you have uninterruptible power supplies installed, remember that electromagnetic radiation from them is much higher than from the computer itself. Try to place these devices 1.5 meters away from you and other people.

It's worth making some effort once to optimize your living space if you spend many hours every day in such an environment.

Try to avoid being in or working in environments where wireless devices such as networks, Wi-Fi, modems, and cordless phones are used. Don’t be fooled by their supposed “safety.” Radio and microwave radiation are even more dangerous than low-frequency radiation.

Calculate your personal exposure to low frequency waves.

Once you have implemented the above recommendations, it is worth checking the level of daily low-frequency radiation to which you are exposed. This will help you understand where most of the EMR comes from.

The permissible limit for EMF, in our opinion, applies only to low frequency radiation, and not to Radio and Microwave EMF (which are probably dangerous at much lower levels).

Constant exposure to ELF (ultra-low frequency, i.e.<100 Гц) и ОНЧ (очень низкочастотными, т.е. 100 Гц- 10 кГц) волнами в 1.0 миллигаус считается безопасным. Это было бы эквивалентно 24 миллигаус/час (1.0×24) в день.

To make this calculation correctly, you must add all EMR level calculations from all sources.

For example, if you use a hair dryer (EMR strength of 100 milligausses at a distance of 30 cm to the object of radiation) for 1 minute every morning, that is 100 milligausses/minute, or 1.67 milligausses/hour (100/60).

If you sleep for 8 hours next to an electric clock with a force of 4 milligaus of EMR applied to your head, then you have accumulated 32 milligaus per hour (4x8) and have exhausted your EMR limit before you even get out of bed!

To calculate the EMR exposure in milligauses per hour (mg/Hours):

Make a list of all the devices you use every day, along with the duration of exposure (in minutes).

Then calculate the value for each of these points according to our table, choosing the appropriate distance for each device.

Multiply the value in milligauss by the number of minutes for each item. Sum mg/minutes for all items. Then divide the total by 60 to get the milligaus/hour value.

Adapt your overall result to common factors such as proximity to power lines (see table), travel time, and any other known VLF/VLF sources.

This method is a somewhat crude tool for fully and correctly determining your level of exposure to low frequency waves. But it helps you see where most of the electromagnetic radiation is coming from, and the resulting figure helps you assess your risks.

Once you have calculated your total daily dose, try to make lifestyle adjustments that may help minimize your exposure. Start simple. (Keep the electric clock away from your pillow!)

In short, set a limit for the amount of radiation you receive that is directly achievable for you, say 30 milligaus per hour. When you achieve this, aim to halve your exposure level. Then you can understand what else can be done to further reduce this level.

Table of influence of EMR of household appliances

This table shows only approximate values for very low frequency waves and ultra low frequency radiation. Devices such as mobile phones and microwave ovens are included in this table only because they produce significant low-frequency radiation, as do radio and microwave radiation (the latter are not included in the table). These are approximate values. Your equipment may have slightly different meanings.

With the constant development of high technology, an increasing number of sources of harmful rays appear, surrounding humans and nature from all sides. Issues of electromagnetic radiation and its effect on the human body are today being discussed by world-class scientists.

It is not possible to completely limit yourself from exposure to harmful radiation, but it is possible and necessary to prevent their excess, just understand what it is.

One of the proven facts of the impact of the electromagnetic field is its negative impact not only on human health, but also on his thoughts, behavior and even the psychological component. Scientists came to this conclusion after studying the long-term interaction of waves with the human body. The sources of these waves are all kinds of electronic devices, computers, WI-FI, power lines and much more.

Thus, based on research, experts have identified the theory that developing diseases and pathologies in the human body occur due to exposure to rays from the outside. Moreover, decay products can even cause poisoning of body cells. Fortunately, a person can protect himself and his loved ones from harmful waves by knowing basic ways to protect against electromagnetic radiation.

Types of electromagnetic radiation are divided into radio waves, infrared (thermal) radiation, visible (optical) radiation, ultraviolet and hard radiation. IMPORTANT: in this case, the answer to the question “does visible light belong to electromagnetic radiation” is positive.

Radio wave disease

By the beginning of the 60s, specialists managed to discover a new trend in medicine - radio wave disease. The spread of this disease is very wide - 1/3 of the population. It must be said that in most cases a person is exposed to waves against his own will. However, radio wave disease is already indicated by a number of symptoms, including:

  • headache;
  • dizziness;
  • increased fatigue;
  • sleep disturbance;
  • depression;
  • absent-mindedness.

Since such symptoms relate to many types of diseases, diagnosing the above becomes extremely problematic. But, like any disease, radio wave disease is capable of developing and progressing.

As a result of its spread throughout the body, a person risks developing cardiac arrhythmia, chronic respiratory diseases, and even fluctuations in blood sugar levels. This happens through the destruction of a person’s electromagnetic field, affecting even the cells of his body.

This disease manifests itself differently depending on the organ or system it affects:

  1. Nervous system - we are talking about the deterioration of the conductivity of neurons - nerve cells of the brain that are susceptible to the influence of electromagnetic radiation that affects humans. Thus, deformation occurs in their work, which leads to disruption of conditioned and unconditioned reflexes, deterioration in the functioning of the limbs, the appearance of hallucinations, and irritability. There are known cases of suicide attempts against the background of a developing disease.
  2. Immune system – in this case, the immune system is suppressed. And the cells responsible for its protection are themselves influenced by electromagnetic waves, thus creating additional negative influence from all sides.
  3. Blood – electric frequencies provoke adhesion of blood cells to each other, contributing to the deterioration of blood outflow and the formation of blood clots. This can result in an excess release of adrenaline into the body, which in itself is detrimental to health. There is no need to talk about disruption of the cardiovascular system - obvious arrhythmia, the development of plaques in the heart muscle and other types of heart failure, as a negative effect of electromagnetic waves on the human body.
  4. Endocrine system – Since this system is responsible for controlling the functioning of hormones in the body, the influence of electromagnetic fields speaks for itself. The result of this effect is liver destruction.
  5. Reproductive system - women are often more susceptible to electromagnetic radiation than men. Having increased sensitivity to external influences, the female body is able to literally “suck in” harmful radiation. This effect is especially dangerous during pregnancy. In the first weeks, the fetus is not firmly attached to the placenta, so there is a high probability of losing contact with the mother during a sudden release of radiation. Regarding later dates, the statistics are that electromagnetic radiation affects changes in the child’s genetic code, DNA deformation.

Consequences of EMP

Radio wave disease takes on new forms every year, expanding and progressing, depending on the number and level of radiation sources. Experts have identified a number of consequences not only individually, but also in a large-scale sense:

  • Cancer - it is no secret that oncological diseases manifest themselves under completely different conditions. However, scientists have proven the increased negative impact of electromagnetic radiation on cancer cells. Thus, studies in Japan have confirmed the presence of an increased risk of childhood leukemia in people whose bedrooms literally “glow” from the presence of electrical appliances and their components.
  • Mental disorders - in recent years, cases of deterioration in the perception of the surrounding world in those exposed to excessive levels of electromagnetic radiation have become more frequent. We are talking not only about the so-called classic symptoms, but also about the developing fear of EMR. Such fear often develops into a phobia; a person begins to panic at the thought that any emission of radiation can provoke painful sensations in one or another organ or part of the body.
  • Stillbirth - according to official data, today the risk of fetal death increases by 15%, provided that the mother is in constant contact with sources of electromagnetic radiation. In addition to stillbirth, the likelihood of developing pathologies in the unborn child, slowdown in development, premature birth, and miscarriage increases. This is the impact of electromagnetic radiation on human health and the health of future generations.

In addition to the enormous negative effect of electromagnetic radiation on the human body, these waves can poison the environment. The most susceptible areas include areas with a large concentration of high-frequency power lines. They are often located far from residential buildings, but in individual cases there are such power transmission lines near populated areas.

The flora and fauna are also exposed to the negative effects of harmful rays. In turn, a person eats irradiated animals and food products and, as a result, receives an additional dose of radiation-contaminated particles into his body. Such a process is extremely difficult to control due to factors beyond human control, but it is still possible to influence it.

Data

To understand what the effect of electromagnetic fields on the human body is, it is enough to familiarize yourself with the following facts:

  1. Changes in the blood and urine of a 9-year-old child 15 minutes after sitting at the computer coincide with changes in the tests of a cancer patient. Teenagers are susceptible to a similar influence after half an hour of being near the computer. And an adult undergoes changes in tests after 2 hours.
  2. The signal coming from a portable radiotelephone can penetrate the brain at a distance of up to 37.5 mm.
  3. Electricians are 13 times more likely to develop brain cancer compared to other professions. The level of the magnetic field in such workers is practically destroyed.
  4. A 13-year-old child who talks on the phone for about 2 minutes undergoes a bioelectrical change in the brain, which takes place several hours after the conversation.
  5. Animals, even slightly irradiated with a dose of electromagnetic radiation, began to lag behind in development and acquired pathologies in the body, as with radiation.

Electromagnetic radiation limits have the following meanings:

  • Radio waves - ultrashort (0.1mm-1m/30MHz-300GHz), short (10-100m/3MHz-30MHz), medium (100m-1km/300kHz-3MHz), long (1km-10km/30kHz-300kHz), ultra-long (more than 10 km/less than 30 kHz).
  • Optical radiation - ultraviolet (380-10nm/7.5*10 at 14st Hz-3*10 at 16st Hz), visible radiation (780-380nm/429THz-750THz), infrared radiation (1mm-780nm/300GHz-429THz) .
  • Ionizing electromagnetic radiation - x-rays, gamma. A more detailed table for calculating EMR standards includes additional sources of propagation of harmful waves.

It is not possible to completely protect yourself from the effects of harmful waves. However, today there are a number of factors that can prevent the excessive influence of electromagnetic radiation on the human body:

  1. Purchasing a special dosimeter. Such a detector will help to identify the most dangerous sources of radiation by calculating the frequency of their waves and, as a result, reduce the time spent near such sources or eliminate them completely. Instruments for measuring electromagnetic fields are available at any hardware store.
  2. Separation of radiation sources by area. It is not recommended to operate electromagnetic devices within a close radius of each other, otherwise their negative impact on the environment and the human body increases, causing maximum harm.
  3. Isolation of radiation sources. We are talking, for example, about a refrigerator. It is advisable to use it at a distance from the dining table. The situation is similar with a computer or laptop: the distance to the location (sofa, bed) should be at least one and a half meters.
  4. Exclusion of toys with EMP. The electromagnetic effects of radio-controlled and electrical accessories for a children's room pose a serious threat to the health of an adult, and are extremely destructive for children. It is recommended to rid the room of toys emitted by EMR.
  5. Radiotelephone isolation. This technique is capable of emitting harmful waves over a radius of up to 10 meters. It is extremely important to remove such electronics as far as possible. This method of protection will protect you from the main source of harmful radiation, since the radiotelephone operates 24 hours a day.
  6. Eliminate the purchase of counterfeit phones. The low price of such products is primarily due to the harmful radiation of electromagnetic waves on humans.
  7. Careful selection of household appliances. In this case we are talking directly about devices with a steel body.

In addition to the above factors, there are well-known simple ways to protect against electromagnetic radiation, the observance of which will also allow you to protect yourself from EMR, reducing the risk of exposure to the lowest level:

  • It is not recommended to stay near a working microwave oven, since its waves have an extremely negative impact on the environment, if we compare household appliances.
  • It is undesirable to be too close to the monitor.
  • Avoid being near high-frequency power lines.
  • It is recommended to avoid an increased amount of jewelry on the body, which should be removed before going to bed.
  • The presence of electrical appliances, analogue household appliances, equipment and wiring at a distance of 2 meters from the bed is approved.
  • A minimum amount of time near operating electrical appliances and similar equipment is recommended.
  • It is undesirable for non-working devices to be switched on.

Often people do not pay much attention to the harm that electromagnetic radiation can cause from the most common household appliances and other factors surrounding them, since they are not able to see their waves. This feature makes EMR extremely dangerous for the life of all living things.

Having the ability to accumulate in the body, harmful rays affect vital systems, manifesting themselves in a variety of diseases and ailments. Humanity will be able to see the full scale of this problem a generation later - only then will the specific impact on the health of those who happen to live their lives surrounded by EMR sources be identified.

Abstract
This article is devoted to questions of influence of electromagnetic fields on a human body. The invention all of the new household items working from a network in many respects help people, but, at the same time, not in the best degree influence a human body. This problem is very actual today.

With the beginning of the scientific and technological revolution, new inventions were introduced into people's lives: computers, satellite communications. radiotelephones. This increased the number of sources of electromagnetic radiation - radio relay and radar stations, and television towers appeared. People have increasingly become interested in the influence of electromagnetic waves on the human body. Electromagnetic radiation with a frequency of 40 - 70 GHz poses a huge danger to humans, since the wavelength here is comparable to the size of human cells.

At the beginning of the 21st century, communication with satellites was the highest frequency - 11 GHz. But only microwatts reached the earth's surface, despite the fact that the power of the transmitted signal was high. In 2009, mobile operators increased the communication frequency between base stations to 25 GHz. This provided better mobile communications and increased the amount of data transferred. The influence of electromagnetic radiation on the human body at frequencies of 40 – 70 GHz has sharply increased.

Electromagnetic devices have been and are widely used in everyday life. Some time later, after the start of the scientific and technological revolution, people began to worry about the influence of electromagnetic waves on the human body. All devices that are plugged into an outlet and conduct current are sources of electromagnetic radiation, which has a detrimental effect on the human body. Today, the number of such devices has increased significantly. Almost everyone has televisions, computers, telephones, microwave ovens - on the one hand, they make our lives easier, but on the other, they have a negative impact on the human body.

Modern people are very often under the influence of electromagnetic fields (EMF): at work - at frequencies of 10 - 70 GHz, computers irradiate you, at home - the same computers and household appliances that create EMFs do not affect the body in the best way. Electromagnetic waves carry a certain energy, which, when interacting with matter, turns into heat. The conversion of heat is one of the important conditions for the life of living beings, but in small doses. Waves with any frequencies with a power density greater than 10 W/cm have a negative effect on the body. Various reactions to electromagnetic waves can occur at different structural levels (from molecular to cellular).

The interaction of an electromagnetic wave with a living organism is determined by:

  • characteristics of the radiation itself– frequency or wavelength, phase velocity of propagation, wave polarization, etc.;
  • physical properties of a given biological object as a medium in which the wave propagates– dielectric constant, electrical conductivity, wave penetration depth, etc.

Let's consider the mechanism of influence of electromagnetic radiation.

Electromagnetic waves saturate the air with positive charges, which is harmful to humans. Therefore, it is necessary to ventilate the room as often as possible.

The following EMF parameters influence the biological response:

  • EMF intensity;
  • radiation frequency;
  • duration of irradiation;
  • combination of frequencies of electromagnetic fields;
  • frequency of action.

The combination of these parameters can be dangerous for children and pregnant women, as well as people with diseases of the cardiovascular system, central nervous and hormonal systems, people with weakened immune systems, and allergy sufferers. People who spend a long time in the radiation zone often complain of irritability, fatigue, weakened thought processes, and sleep disturbances. Frequent exposure to the body can lead to cancer and disorders of the nervous and cardiovascular systems.

For example, a cell phone is a very convenient device that allows you to always be in touch and up to date with all the news. It is constantly near a person and irradiates his body - affecting the physiological state and health of the person.

When working with a mobile phone, first of all, the brain and peripheral receptors of the vestibular, visual and auditory analyzers are exposed to irradiation. When using cell phones with a carrier frequency of 450-900 MHz, the wavelength slightly exceeds the linear dimensions of the human head. In this case, the radiation is absorbed unevenly and so-called hot spots can form, especially in the center of the head. Long-term exposure to maximum permissible doses of radiation can lead to significant changes in the bioelectrical activity of various brain structures and disorders of its functions (for example, short-term and long-term memory).

Another example: a microwave oven. They occupy a fairly strong position in most people's kitchens. Such ovens are very convenient for quickly heating food, preparing some dishes, defrosting food, etc. But, in addition to the beneficial aspects, microwave ovens also have negative ones.

Research has revealed reasons that indicate the harm of microwave ovens on the human body:

  • Electromagnetic radiation (torsion fields)– it is the content of the torsion component that is the main factor in the negative effect of microwaves on the human body. Very often, a person may experience insomnia, frequent headaches and increased excitability.
  • Temperature– with constant and long-term use of microwave ovens, high-frequency radiation begins to heat the human body. This thermal interaction can lead to clouding and destruction of the eye's lens.
  • Impact of radiation on food– when processing food in microwave ovens, ionization of molecules can occur. This entails changes in the structure of the substance. Microwave
    is capable of creating compounds that do not exist in nature - radiolytic changes - they contribute to the destruction and change in the structure of substances. Microwave rays destroy vitamins D, C, E and reduce the nutritional value of food by 60%.
  • Radiation from the body– Microwave ovens also have a destructive effect on the body’s cells. This is fraught with the fact that the body will no longer prevent the penetration of various fungi and viruses into the body. Cell regeneration processes are suppressed by food irradiated in microwave ovens

can cause malignant neoplasms in the human digestive system.

Thus, the electromagnetic fields with which a person surrounds himself pose a serious danger to his health. Experience shows that you have to pay for various conveniences, and at the same time with your own health. It is necessary to try to use various devices that emit electromagnetic fields as little as possible.
