Every rapper should have a muse. His muse, and at the same time the love of his life, the artist of the label Black Star Mot, aka Matvey Melnikov, has already found it. He found him three years ago and did everything so that their love story not only formed the basis of his songs, but also became the leitmotif of his life. Last weekend, April 23, Matvey and his beloved Maria Melnikova (before marriage - Gural) got married and had a magnificent wedding in Moscow, after which they flew away for a short Honeymoon to Greece. When Mot first arrived in Moscow from Krasnodar, he had one goal - to conquer the capital. He had to move sharply and rapidly, and the lyrics of his first songs sounded just as impetuously. The ice has broken, the goal has succumbed: a contract with label Black Star, duets with famous artists, tours and thousands of fans... And in 2016, the rapper released a new, unexpected-sounding album, as he calls it - chamber, about love. “That’s all I could think about then,” the musician admitted, and then presented the very one that occupied his thoughts. The artist’s beloved Maria Gural starred in the “Trap” video.

In the first two days alone, the video collected a million views, and now there are more than fifty million. A year has passed, but the plot of the song has not lost its relevance. On the contrary, it acquired new meanings. On the eve of the release of the video, in January 2016, Mot proposed to Masha, in August they signed at the registry office - wearing sneakers and jeans, and in April 2017, on the anniversary of their acquaintance, they decided to get married, organizing a big celebration.

The history of their relationship did not develop rapidly, but naturally. How it all began, Maria told HELLO.RU:

We met on Instagram, I was then living in Kyiv, where I had moved from Lvov to study. Matvey followed me, “liked” my photos along, across, horizontally and sideways (laughs), then we began to correspond. We decided to see each other for the first time when I arrived in Moscow to visit my friend. I was scared to go on a date - after all, alone, in a strange city. I took my girlfriend with me. Everything happened quickly, and now we are already building a long-distance relationship. After I graduated from the university, Matvey moved me to Moscow. And then - on Old New Year - he proposed. It was in Thailand, during an excursion to Tachai Island. We walked for a long time, swam, and when we had to leave, my beloved suddenly asked me to dive. I obeyed, and when I surfaced, I saw a worried Matvey holding a ring in his hand.

At first, Mot and Maria wanted to get married in Greece, on the island of Santorini. They had already carefully planned everything, but as they themselves note, they did not take into account “some points”, and the celebration had to be reformatted - moved to Russia. Here, in Moscow's Yelokhovsky Cathedral, the couple decided to get married.

The desire to get married came to us mutually, we understood the seriousness of this sacrament and prepared for it with all responsibility,” Maria tells HELLO.RU.

It was on the occasion of the wedding that the lovers decided to organize a big celebration, to which they invited their relatives, friends and Mota’s colleagues in show business - Yegor Creed, Kristina Si, Misha Marvin, T-Killah and others. Preparations were carried out on all fronts: the elaboration of the concept was entrusted to the organizer of the celebrations, Anna Gorodzhaya, the decor and design - to Yulia Shakirova, and the spouses themselves, leaving the logistics and calculations to the professionals, indulged in creative thoughts: what song to perform the first dance to, what outfits to appear in front of the guests.

They resolved these pleasant issues during a romantic weekend in the Maldives - in a relaxed atmosphere, to the sound of the ocean.

While on vacation in the Maldives, I scrolled through what seemed like a million pictures looking for inspiration for my next outfit. Thoughts swirled, there were a lot of options, but in the end I decided to come up with own design, which was brought to life by masters from the Minsk salon "Courage". And the second dress that I wore for the wedding was created by the Dubai brand Humariff. Matvey's tuxedo was made in the classic tailoring workshop Master Suit. There, in the Maldives, Matvey and I chose a song - we decided to perform a dance to Anthony Hamilton called Dear Life. I took upon myself the staging of the act.

Immediately after the celebration, which, according to all the rules of show business, was celebrated for a long time, loudly and almost until the morning, Mot and Masha went on a trip. The next day after the wedding, the couple went to Greece, where... no, not quite a full-fledged Honeymoon, but definitely a few days of complete relaxation.

We stayed at the beautiful Miraggio Thermal Spa Resort. Due to dense tour schedule Matvey could only afford 4 days, but I’m sure they will be enough to reboot. And in August we will continue our journey. We haven’t decided where to go yet, but it will definitely be a calm place. Rest, rest and more rest. Relaxing as much as possible, eating up, getting enough sleep - this is what we now dream of more than anything else.

I was born in Ukraine, in Lviv. I spent my entire childhood there, and I moved to Kyiv to study. In general, initially my father had the idea to send me to Canada, but since my mother was afraid to let me go so far, Canada was replaced with Kyiv.

I moved to Moscow at the beginning of this summer, in June, and moved directly to Matvey, who, as a real man, just kidnapped me from Kyiv. (Laughs.)

The first time in Moscow was difficult for me, most likely out of habit. It was difficult to get used to the climate, because in Ukraine there is much more sun than here. Moscow is cold, mostly grey, but everything has back side. I like the scale of Moscow, it motivates, and I think it is a suitable city for young people. Here I want to move forward.

I was a very calm child. WITH early years went to ballroom dancing and was always busy with something: school - dancing - ballet hall. On weekends I went to competitions or seminars. Since my mother is a philologist, special attention was paid to my studies, so I graduated from school with two B's.

My mother and I have a very close relationship. Even when I went to live in Kyiv, I tried to come to her as often as possible. Despite the fact that my parents are divorced, I never felt deprived of love and care. I always had enough attention from my mother and father. Therefore, I can say with confidence that my childhood was bright and happy.

My mother is Ukrainian, and on my father’s side I have Jewish blood. By the way, we celebrated our first New Year together with Matvey in Israel. It was a very unexpected trip for me. Matvey is an artist, and he has a very busy concert schedule, so I didn’t make any plans. But at the end of November he wrote to me: “Well, have you already decided what dress you will wear to celebrate the New Year in Israel?” (Smiles.)

Our story of meeting Matvey is not what many people want it to be. I was not one of those fans who write to their idol. (Laughs.) Matvey found me himself through photos on a social network, through our mutual friend. I remember I received a notification that he added me to Instagram, but, to be honest, I knew nothing about him then. When I went to his page in response, I saw that the guy was handsome and, as it turned out, a member of the Black Star Inc. label. I added it to the answer, and commenting on the photos began. (Laughs.) Then we began to correspond, and after some time we met in Moscow. I came on a date with a friend. We were sitting with her, and suddenly Matvey flies in with the phrase: “I’m just back from tour!” At first I didn't like it, but after 10 minutes everything changed. It's difficult to convey those feelings. His insanely glowing eyes and meter-long eyelashes captivated me instantly. I really love Matvey’s eyes, they are kind, pure, and, probably, it was with them that I immediately fell in love.

A spiritual kinship was immediately established between us, and it felt like we had known each other for 100 years. After this meeting, he again invited me on a date, where our first kiss took place. From now on, Matvey and I are always together. Everything started spinning and spinning, and now I’m already with a ring on my finger. (Smiles.)

The offer from Matvey was very unexpected for me. Although, I won’t hide it, I was expecting this, and it seems to me that he suspected it. We flew to Thailand, wanted to take a break from the hustle and bustle of Moscow and just enjoy communicating with each other. We had such a wonderful hotel room that I didn’t want to leave it, but Matvey insisted that we go on an excursion. We went to an island that, according to locals, is one of the most beautiful in Thailand. When there were 30 minutes left before heading back, Matvey for some reason decided that he needed to dive into the water. At first I didn’t want to, but he insisted so much that I decided not to contradict and dived, and when I surfaced, I saw Matvey in front of me with burning eyes, who began to confess his love and handed over a ring. Now I can say that I am ready for a family. If earlier I had difficulty answering this question, now I don’t doubt it for a second. It seems to me that a woman can give such a decisive answer when she is 100% confident in her man.

When you love a person, it is difficult to say why exactly, because even his shortcomings become loved. Probably, most of all I love Matvey for how I feel next to him. My eyes glow every day, and I have found harmony and calm. Next to him I become kinder, more patient. These feelings are new for me, because before I considered myself a tough person. Next to him I become better, I feel fulfilled and whole. Previously, I saw my shortcomings, but could not correct them, and then suddenly you meet a person who, with his love, simply changes you for the better.

Now mine main job- This is Matvey. I want to give him my care, warmth, family comfort, so that he always returns home to a clean apartment, and the kitchen is waiting for him tasty food. When communicating with a person, I always look into the eyes and believe that you can tell a lot from them. It is important for me to feel a person energetically and to grasp the spiritual connection. If this happens, it means I will continue communication. I also like people with a sense of humor, open-minded and sincere.

I'm not the kind of girl who devotes all her time to her appearance. I absolutely go without makeup, I don’t do any cosmetic procedures, and my only beauty secret is ice cubes with chamomile, which I use to moisturize my face every day.

I don't see any point in paying attention to the opinions of people who barely know me. The words of the people I love are important to me.

Now for me, happiness is when Matvey returns after a tour and is happy to meet me, when I see how he smiles. Happiness is seeing your mother’s eyes and understanding that she is nearby and healthy. For me, happiness lies in the happiness of my loved ones.
