I’ll tell you a secret: she could have become a participant in “Yin-Yang” when we were still working with Konstantin Meladze and said goodbye to our ex-participant Yulia Parshuta! Kostya called: “Guys, what do you think about Tanya Reshetnyak as a participant?” The answer was positive - she sings very cool! An insurmountable obstacle was Tanya’s contract with one of the recording studios- it was not possible to resolve the legal issues. And now, years later, we will try to rehabilitate ourselves!
- It’s no secret that you live in two countries, but still, where is your Motherland and home? Are there any plans to sing in Ukrainian?
I am a citizen of Ukraine and consider Ukraine my home. I visit Kiev often - all the band’s arrangements, recording songs, creating music - we do all this exclusively in the Ukrainian capital. And not so much for patriotic reasons, but because of quality: the level of Ukrainian musicians is head and shoulders above! Of course, I want to sing in Ukrainian, Tanya and I talked about this just yesterday. I have cool music, but the problem with words is that I can’t write in Ukrainian, even knowing it perfectly, it turns out some kind of... garbage. That's why I asked Tanya. Let's see what happens - perhaps very soon we will start singing in Ukrainian!
- Artem, your beloved (and one of the lead singers of the group, Tanya Bogacheva) is now 8 months pregnant. How long are you planning to stay on maternity leave?
We have a busy concert schedule in June, so Tanyusha simply has no choice but to get back in shape for the summer and tour with us! While Seryozha and I are performing together with Tanya Reshetnyak, we’ll see how the public perceives it. Perhaps we won’t let her go anywhere (laughs). At least I feel very comfortable with her as a colleague.
- I would like to dot the “yin” - have you and the mother of your unborn child legalized your relationship?
I do not comment on these issues. This is a question for Tanya. At work we are colleagues, we make music.
- How are you? romantic relationship affect work?
We have long learned to separate feelings and work. Even Meladze didn’t complain at the time, which means everything is okay. On tour we even different rooms and we live in hotels. I don’t like to talk about our relationship - it doesn’t add charm to the group. Tanya and I have been together since the days of Factory 7; we separated for some time, then got together, quarreled, separated and got back together again. Apparently, we can’t get away from each other (laughs).
- So you approve of office romances?
This is not very good: you need enormous internal self-discipline to separate work and personal. At work, I quarrel with Tanya to pieces - we often have different visions of problems. But we do not transfer these moments into our personal lives. So far we have succeeded. But I won’t recommend this extreme to others!
- “Yin-Yang” was more than once on the verge of collapse due to internal conflicts?
Here, Yulia Parshuta tried to come up with something at one time, but Kostya resolved this issue radically by simply firing her.
- Years later I would like to know real reasons the group's separation from Kostya Meladze.
These are too simple reasons. I would continue to work with Kostya with pleasure. It happened that we waited for a new song for 2 years, and for the team this is very difficult, because we have to constantly work. Kostya acted very humanly in this regard - he allowed us to keep the name of the group, allowed us to perform all the tracks. Meladze always has the same number of projects - four, but one always falls out (laughs). As he himself says, “I have three watermelons, I’m carrying two, and there’s nowhere to put one.”
- Did you have any disagreements with Meladze?
Well... Kostya needs to know this - he can call and say: “I’ll send a song tomorrow,” and then disappear for a month. This is a normal situation. We waited for the track for a very long time, we lost money, we needed to launch something. This is business. And when we launched a track for the song “Cool” by me, it hit the Ukrainian and Russian TV channels, and things began to slowly improve.
- Don’t you attribute the loss of interest on Meladze’s part to the fact that Vera Brezhneva gradually “pulled” all his attention?
Nonsense! Vera is an amazingly bright person. But it’s impossible to “wind up” Kostya. Even Valery sometimes cannot persuade him to do something. I often ask Kostya questions about music - I send a song and wait for the verdict - it’s bullshit or not.
- Artem, you write songs “to order”. How difficult is it?
The main thing is to know the person and his capabilities. Not long ago I wrote a song to Masha Fokina. He also wrote tracks for Vitaly Kozlovsky, Slava from “NeAngels”. I don't understand people who write songs and send them to all the artists in a row. I don’t know the recipe for a hit either. Even Kostya Meladze or Max Fadeev do not always produce hits. They definitely know the trend, they know the rhythm. But the more honest and quickly the song is written, the better it is perceived by people.
The Yin-Yang group is an excellent example of the fact that real talent can always find its way to the stage. Four members of the team, who were included in the first lineup, made a name for themselves on the “Star Factory” project and were able to prove that they are worthy to stand on a par with recognized pop stars. And although the team had to go through not only ups, but also downs, “Yin-Yang” still delights fans with catchy compositions.

The first composition of the group included four members - two girls and two boys. These young people, who were beginning the path to fame and popularity, had different views on music and approach to performance. However, the guys managed to become a real team and learn to work alongside each other.
Born on January 15, 1986 in Cherkassy (in Ukraine). Artem's education is in mathematics - the musician was planning a serious career. In addition, before the project, the young man managed to learn several languages and was seriously involved in sports, playing for the university football team. However, the dream of the stage lived in him since childhood, therefore, having learned about the casting for participation in the popular television project “Star Factory,” Artem went to Moscow.
Another member of the Yin-Yang team, originally from Sevastopol. Tatyana was born on February 17, 1985. Unlike Artem, the girl seriously planned a career as a singer since childhood. Behind Tatiana's back is the nursery opera studio, numerous vocal competitions and the Kiev Academy of Culture and Art (Bogacheva’s specialty is “ pop vocals"). Tatyana began her path to fame with modeling, but immediately after the Star Factory casting she abandoned the podium in favor of the stage. And, as it turned out later, she was right.
Sergei Ashikhmin, like Tatyana Bogacheva, dreamed of performing on stage since childhood. However, unlike his bandmate, he planned to become a professional dancer. Sergey was born on May 18, 1987 in Arkhangelsk. The young man devoted several years ballroom dancing, and then became interested in the newfangled breakdancing.
At the age of 16, Sergei set off to conquer the capital. In Moscow, Ashikhmin first began to study vocals, and at the same time worked as a model. Having learned about the casting for the Star Factory project, the young man decided that this was the chance that was given only once in a lifetime, and decided not to miss it.
I came to the “Star Factory” from the city of Adler. This project is not the first serious competition in the girl’s life. Since childhood (Yulia was born on April 23, 1988), Parshuta participated in various competitions and competitions.

And immediately after the tour, the band recorded another composition - “Karma”, for which a memorable video was also shot. At the same time, the group members participated in television programs and various group concerts. It is not surprising that soon the whole country was singing rhythmic love songs.
The next hit of the Yin-Yang group was the song “Kamikaze”. This composition was so loved by the fans of the band that it still remains popular. According to rumors, “Kamikaze” was originally intended for the repertoire, but at the last moment the producer decided to give the song to Bogacheva, Ivanov, Ashikhmin and Parshuta.
Another hit of the group - the composition "Don't care" - also for a long time occupied the first lines of various charts and charts. This song, according to some reports, even surpassed the success of “Kamikaze”, and the video was discussed for a long time in all music programs.
